  1. Kindergarteners are eager to explore, investigate and discover the world around them and a Princeton education can make a difference in how much they learn and grow. Our program introduces your child to a formal education while embracing the idea that every child is smart in his or her way. We strive to create a small, safe and secure environment that will provide your child with a real sense of belonging. Our Curriculum is aligned with the U.S. Department of Education's Common-Core Standards and exceeds the guidelines set forth by the US National Associations for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our "8-SMART" Teaching method is based on the extensive research and theories of child development expert Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University. Our private kindergarten program introduces your child to a formal education while embracing the idea that every child is smart in his or her way. We focus on meeting each child's developmental and educational needs. Children are guided and encouraged by our elite, experienced teachers, and advance through our program at their own pace. Because children learn best when they are actively involved, each classroom includes rich learning materials for exploring. Self-directed investigations and play build problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Our teachers supplement these experiences with small group activities that encourage socialization. We give children the foundations that prepare them for an International Elementary School setting and set them on a path of life-long learning and success. Whether enrolled full- or part-time, your child will benefit from Princeton Academy's exclusive kindergarten program. If you are a working parent and would like to use Princeton Academy's FREE Extended Childcare Service, we ask that you register your child as a member at the time of entrance to the school, or as soon as possible, thereafter. Space is very limited, and some restrictions do apply. NOTE: Non-Members are charged per hour at the regular rate. Princeton Academy's Little Miracles Program is a unique 3-hour weekday program for high-level Kindergarten and Elementary school-age students. This program covers a wide range of learning areas such as Language Arts, Dramatic play, Mathematics, Art, and Crafts. This Program is open to all students who have completed an International Preschool Program and are at a level equivalent to (or higher than) our Kinder-kids Program. The program is also open to non-PAIS students who are of an advanced English level. Native English-speaking children and Returnees from abroad are also welcome to join this course as a supplement to the child's current schooling. The Little Miracles program is a combination of study and plays activities. Like our Saturday School program, these activities allow children to learn and use correct grammatical English while they play. Your child will naturally improve his or her conversational skills by interacting with kids of all ages and all English levels. There are also foreign children from nearby International Schools who participate in our classes, from time to time, thus making our program more diverse than ever. During the lessons, we use workbooks to improve the academic level, and we have fun with hands-on activities such as arts and crafts, science experiments, games, and much, much, more. Our curriculum gives children the tools they need to grow and develop into the leaders of tomorrow. Along with a strong emphasis on mathematics and literacy skills, our program gives children a framework they can use throughout school - they learn to love learning!
  2. Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (PRISMS) is a forward-looking international school. It has incorporated the best education theory and practices in China and the US and has excellent leadership and teachers. With the deepening of Sino-US educational exchange, PRISMS will become the forward-looking international school with Chinese and American characteristics, which is home to great talents worldwide. Orchid in the spring, lotus in the summer, chrysanthemum in the fall, plum blossom in the winter, each attains its beauty. There might be variance in aesthetics, but not a ranking hierarchy to tell one's superiority over the other. And the same principle goes to scenic grandeur in nature. In China, we have the Yangze River, the Mississippi in the States, the Nile in Egypt, and the Volga River in Russia. Still, their difference makes them what they are, not their goodness over each other. The most splendid beauty lies with respect for diversity. The laws of nature also apply to human society. Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science immerses a multicultural, self-motivated student body in an integrated STEM–centered curriculum and a research program that identifies and develops each student's potential. Our approach promotes critical thinking, imagination, and a deep curiosity and enables students to ask meaningful questions and contribute to a diverse and dynamic world. We believe the following: Respect and love are at the heart of effective teaching. The teacher-student relationship is based on teachers' respect for their students, and that respect inspires learning and creativity. Devoted teachers love their subject and their craft. Together respect and love lead to the finest and most profound education. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are crucial for the advancement of civilization. Humanities, world languages, and fine arts are essential for students to understand and express themselves in the world's context. Research-based education beneficially shapes the adolescent brain. Excellent teaching ignites a sense of wonder. Perseverance is an essential trait for students to develop and nurture. Integrity is fundamental to a responsible and meaningful life. The proper application of knowledge improves our world. Collaborative and independent learning are both essential for substantive achievement. The habit of excellence can be developed. Education should equip students to contribute positively to society. A healthy body and mind are essential to intellectual development and productive life. View full school
  3. The Hun School is a twenty-four hour, culturally diverse campus in one of the world's most academically-minded communities. However, most visitors want to know what it feels like to work and live among us? Walking our campus today, you will sense a healthy camaraderie among students and adults. You will appreciate the architectural and natural beauty of our 45 acres, tucked in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Princeton University. You will meet happy and respectful students – diverse boarders and day students, boys and girls from New Jersey and around the world – who make a living and working here a joy. And you will experience first-hand how a school can teach traditional values and a dynamic curriculum balance academic excellence and extensive offerings in athletics, the arts, clubs, and service. The Hun School of Princeton empowers each student to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world by nurturing resilient character, providing individual mentorship, and inspiring active and joyful learning. In early 2015, The Hun School underwent an accreditation process with the Middle States Association. Amidst an otherwise glowing report, the visiting committee suggested the School examine its current mission statement, which had been in place for almost twenty years. Its promises were undisputed, yet somewhat broad. Further, members of the school community were beginning to feel that it did not accurately capture the School's more contemporary ethos. Soon after that, the Board of Trustees endorsed a re-write. The new mission statement is not a departure from the School's traditional ideals. But instead, it re-affirms some of The Hun School's more ardent, ever-lasting promises. It also includes reference to some of our more contemporary promises. The goal was to ensure that that the mission reflects who we are and where we are going. With this in mind, the process was extensive and enlisted the help of many. Several different constituent groups were involved in the process of re-writing the mission. Values and ideas were collected from faculty, students, parents, and board members. Ultimately, however, the crafting of the mission was put into the hands of a small group of faculty representatives and the Headmaster. The group spent weeks researching effective mission statements and even worked with a leading educational consultant to establish critical criteria and tone. Using the research collected from the community, each then submitted a draft. Strengths from various drafts were selected, and a collective draft was created. That draft was then submitted to several leadership groups, including the Board of Trustees' educational committee. View full school

  6. Princeton Day School, where a robust, rigorous academic and co-curricular experience is crafted each day by the boys and girls, and men and women whose curiosity is excellent, whose appetites are large, and whose imaginations are unbounded. We are a small school where close relationships begin, grow, flourish, and are nurtured and renewed for a lifetime. And yet we are a large school, with offerings broad and deep enough to test the most talented. We are an optimistic school with an abiding faith in ourselves and our mission. We are a school where it is good to be smart, strive, seek, answer, and question. We are a school blessed with tradition, as we trace our roots to the 19th century: from the sturdy threads of our forebears, Miss Fine's School, and Princeton Country Day School, we have knit a rich tapestry of excellence in the education of students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. We are a school of tomorrow, preparing our students to lead in a world that will demand and require their skill and vision. Yet we are also a school of today, with eyes always fixed on the present moment's rich opportunities. Princeton Day School nurtures the mind, the body, and the character of each student. In academics, athletics, the arts, and service, we celebrate the pursuit of individual excellence and the spirit of collaboration that binds us together as a community. We seek diversity of cultures, views, and talents to promote our students' intellectual growth and moral development. Our rigorous and broad PreK through 12th-grade program is designed for motivated and academically talented students. We emphasize both creative and critical thought and their clear expression. Supported by an exceptional faculty and a cooperative partnership of school and home, our students discover the joy of learning. They explore their interests, cultivate enduring relationships with teachers and peers, take risks, and thrive. Integrity, respect, and compassion are essential to the school's mission. Our students leave Princeton Day School well equipped for college and beyond: prepared to act knowledgeably, to lead thoughtfully, to share generously, and to contribute meaningfully. The spirit of Princeton Day School is best caught in its common spaces. The libraries, lobbies, and hallways, vibrant with student art, reflect a community of inspired and inspiring learners, as well as a great tradition of excellence in the visual and performing arts. As students come and go, working in small groups, engaging one another and their teachers in the dialogue that is the essence of learning, they experience a balance of freedom and direction that enables each child to find their own pace and pathway to success. Integrity entails honesty to oneself and others. It also connotes the wholeness of the individual and the community. We aim to nurture our students the motivation, self-confidence, and mutual trust to discover their individual and communal strengths of mind, body, and spirit. We seek students of character and promising intellect capable of responding to this challenge, and we provide for them an educational atmosphere at once disciplined, playful, and diverse. We offer students many self-discovery avenues through academics, athletics, the arts, cultural exchange programs, and student-run activities and clubs. We encourage students to take responsibility for their education and make learning an enterprise so exhilarating that it spills into gatherings of students in the hallways, casual moments with a coach or teacher, and conversations with parents around the dinner table. As an independent day school, we affirm the importance of the student-teacher-parent triangle. When students, teachers, and parents work together to create a continuity between school and home, the child's self-discovery journey more fully integrates his or her intellectual, emotional, physical, and moral development. The crossroads of this journey are the classroom, where students share ideas and sharpen their skills under a creative and dedicated faculty's guidance. As a college preparatory school, we offer rigorous training in core skills of verbal and quantitative reasoning and creative self- expression. We nurture our students the courage and initiative to apply these skills to problem-solving across the boundaries of traditional academic disciplines. Our broad and innovative curriculum is complemented by our thorough attention to the individual student and our commitment to recognizing and supporting differences in learning styles. Through one-on-one contact between students and teachers at all levels, through the support provided by school counselors and a full-time learning specialist, and through robust advising systems in the middle and upper schools, we ensure that every student receives the guidance necessary to acquire core skills and develop his or her unique strengths. At Princeton Day School, the pursuit of excellence is a cooperative process grounded in respect for others. We nurture respect through stewardship, community service, and the celebration of diversity. A steward is a keeper or caretaker who recognizes that his or her well-being is strengthened by service to others. To the community, we teach this recognition by integrating service activities into our curriculum at all levels. Its diversity enhances the vitality of a community. Our commitment to stewardship goes hand in hand with a commitment to cultivating diversity in our student body and faculty. We seek to create an atmosphere that challenges us to open our minds and hearts to others, understand and celebrate our differences, whatever they may be, and discover common ground. View full school

  11. View full school
