  2. The College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) is a government organization established by a Royal Decree in 1983 with the chief objectives of education, training, and encouraging research in banking and financial subjects. It is under the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) juristic supervision and is supported by all banks operating in the Sultanate. The College has helped the financial services industry meet its developmental needs by offering academic and training courses tailored to Oman's emerging needs and has been an active partner in the country's thrust towards Omanization of the banking sector. The College presently has over 1500 students pursuing various academic and professional courses in the Departments of Professional Studies, Postgraduate Studies, Under Graduate Studies, and English Language Centre. Another focal area of the College is corporate training. The Annual Training Plan of the College for 2016-17 envisages conducting 81 courses for the banking and financial sector in Muscat and Regional Centres, covering a wide variety of functional and managerial (soft) skills. These courses are designed and delivered by full time and visiting faculty with immense operational and training experience across various regions/markets. The classroom training is supplemented by e-learning. Also, the College sponsors the local Chapters of four eminent professional bodies - ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association), ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors), and ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners). It supports their initiatives towards Professional knowledge sharing a local capacity building in their respective functional areas through periodical seminars/workshops. All the above activities of the College are operated from its well-equipped campus at Bausher, which houses over 38 classrooms & seminar halls, four computer labs with Internet connectivity, a Wi-Fi facility, a multipurpose hall, atrium, cafeteria, and a well-stocked library with over 15,000 books and over 20 titles of scientific journals, besides the EBSCO search engine database, covering over 600 journals in broad areas and disciplines. A longer-term plan is also drawn up for the construction of spacious new premises on the existing campus. The CBFS mission is to develop and offer internationally recognized programs, capacity building, research, and consultancy services to meet the evolving needs of Banking and Finance in the region. For 2016, The Arab Academy offers in cooperation with its international partners: Florida International University, Jhon Jefferson School of Law, Global Banking Training, Klikwiz, Retail Banking Academy, NGO Management Association Switzerland diverse an up-to-date e-learning program that will enrich your professional competency and organizational contribution. The Center was established out of the concern of the Academy for the SMEs sector. The Center works as an incubator for these enterprises to encourage the youth, students, and homemakers to establish their projects. It performs feasibility studies for such projects, enlarges them, and offers consultancy helping them get bank loans, arrange for outside collaterals, and execute necessary training programs where the Academy cooperates with local, regional, and international institutions.

Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation" is one of the oldest Russian higher education institutions where financial experts, financial law experts, economists, IT experts, mathematicians, sociologists, and political scientists are trained. The University has come a long way. It has evolved from an institute and a finance and banking specialist training academy into a significant research and education center. Today it incorporates 14 faculties based in Moscow and six faculties based in the University Branches, 60 teaching departments, three different education departments, ten collaborative provision departments formed in cooperation with the employers and 86 departments based in the University Branches, ten institutes, including the Institute of Correspondence Studies and Open Education, Institute for Development Projects, Institute of Short-Term Programs, 4 Institutes offering further education programs, three research institutes, three higher schools, four research and educational centers, two educational research laboratories and two educational laboratories and two colleges. There are 29 University Branches (incl. 14 Branches offer higher education programs, 4 Branches that offer higher education programs and post-secondary training programs, and 11 Branches that offer post-secondary training programs). The University's total annual enrolment (as at the beginning of the 2015\2016 academic year) is 51,579 students (incl. 23,712 students who study in face-to-face mode, 567 students who study in off-campus/on-campus study mode, and 27,300 students of correspondence study departments). There are 38,250 students of bachelor, master, and specialist degree programs (incl. 3,839 students of specialist degree programs, 31,427 students of bachelor degree programs, 2,984 students of master degree programs) 13,329 students of post-secondary training programs. The Financial University is one of the leading Russian higher education institutions. It offers 12 bachelor degree programs with 28 concentrations, 11 master degree programs with more than 50 concentrations, nine post-secondary training programs, 10 МВА programs, and 108 advanced training and professional development programs. The competition for the student places at the University is relatively fierce as the University ensures high quality of provision, and the University graduates have good employment prospects and career development opportunities after graduation. The Financial University has implemented and is improving the training scheme based upon the availability of various learning paths and continuous education modes. The system includes post-secondary training programs, as well as bachelor, master, and specialist degree programs. As of 1 January 2016, 1,545 teaching staff members are based in Moscow, including 1,214 academic degree holders. The number includes 340 Doctors of Sciences and 874 holders of Ph.D. degrees. It contains monographs, teaching, methodological materials, summaries of theses, articles published in journals, and other materials published by the University Publishing House. The University staff continued developing research and consulting projects in 2015. The teaching and research department development is in progress. The budget-funded programs and projects implemented according to the Government of the Russian Federation's orders are on top of the University research priorities list. This year, 110 government-funded research projects were implemented, with the number of funds exceeding 197 mln. Rubles. Fifty-four departments (incl. the departments based at the Omsk, Penza and Chelyabinsk University Branches), 13 research departments, the Directorate for Innovative Development and the Center for Personnel Development and Planning, approximately 370 teaching staff members and researchers, and more than 80 undergraduate and postgraduate students took part in the research work within the framework of the above projects. Joint teams of researchers participated in the work when implementing 13 of the above projects. The researchers presented their reports to an expert commission and representatives of the Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation. In 2015, 67 research projects were implemented by the orders made by the Government of the Russian Federation. The total amount of funds allocated was 200 mln. Rubles. About 600 people took part in the research work, incl. Two hundred ninety-six teaching staff members, 68 researchers, 58 postgraduate students, doctoral program students, 112 bachelor and master's degree program students.

The College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) is a government organization established by a Royal Decree in 1983 with the chief objectives of education, training, and encouraging research in banking and financial subjects. It is under the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) juristic supervision and is supported by all banks operating in the Sultanate. The College has helped the financial services industry meet its developmental needs by offering academic and training courses tailored to Oman's emerging needs and has been an active partner in the country's thrust towards Omanization of the banking sector. The College presently has over 1500 students pursuing various academic and professional courses in the Departments of Professional Studies, Postgraduate Studies, Under Graduate Studies, and English Language Centre. Another focal area of the College is corporate training. The Annual Training Plan of the College for 2016-17 envisages conducting 81 courses for the banking and financial sector in Muscat and Regional Centres, covering a wide variety of functional and managerial (soft) skills. These courses are designed and delivered by full time and visiting faculty with immense operational and training experience across various regions/markets. The classroom training is supplemented by e-learning. Also, the College sponsors the local Chapters of four eminent professional bodies - ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association), ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors), and ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners). It supports their initiatives towards Professional knowledge sharing a local capacity building in their respective functional areas through periodical seminars/workshops. All the above activities of the College are operated from its well-equipped campus at Bausher, which houses over 38 classrooms & seminar halls, four computer labs with Internet connectivity, a Wi-Fi facility, a multipurpose hall, atrium, cafeteria, and a well-stocked library with over 15,000 books and over 20 titles of scientific journals, besides the EBSCO search engine database, covering over 600 journals in broad areas and disciplines. Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation" is one of the oldest Russian higher education institutions where financial experts, financial law experts, economists, IT experts, mathematicians, sociologists, and political scientists are trained. The Financial University is one of the leading Russian higher education institutions. The number of items in non-e-format is 2,852,054. Those items include research materials, manuals, books in a foreign language, theses, periodicals, fiction, rare books on economics. There are 547 PCs in the Library. The Library's local area network is integrated into the University communications network. There is a collection of e-resources in the Library that supports the teaching process and the research process. In 2014, 59 databases contained more than 150 mln. Documents in the e-resources collection. The users can use the University IPs to access the databases or gain remote access to them. The University E-Library was formed in 2015. It contains monographs, teaching, methodological materials, summaries of theses, articles published in journals, and other materials published by the University Publishing House. The University staff continued developing research and consulting projects in 2015. The teaching and research department development is in progress. The budget-funded programs and projects implemented according to the Government of the Russian Federation's orders are on top of the University research priorities list. This year, 110 government-funded research projects were implemented, with the number of funds exceeding 197 mln. Rubles. Fifty-four departments (incl. the departments based at the Omsk, Penza and Chelyabinsk University Branches), 13 research departments, the Directorate for Innovative Development and the Center for Personnel Development and Planning, approximately 370 teaching staff members and researchers, and more than 80 undergraduate and postgraduate students took part in the research work within the framework of the above projects. Joint teams of researchers participated in the work when implementing 13 of the above projects. The researchers presented their reports to an expert commission and representatives of the Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation.
