Every child is entitled to a good education, with equal access to knowledge, skills, opportunities, aspirations, diversity, and life chances. Your child deserves the very best from this school and we will seek to provide this in many ways, the most important of which are consistently well-taught lessons taken from a well-planned curriculum, in an environment where the well-being, happiness, and safety of every child is paramount. Teachers and school staff cannot do this on their own. When a school community does this together excellent results can be achieved. This includes parents and carers supporting their children at home, by encouraging learning, good behavior, and h…

The wonderful work the children are doing and the activities they take part in, both at Nursery and Key Stage 1, based at our Old Jamaica Road site, and at Key Stage 2, located in Alexis Street. There is before and after school care provision available. At KS1 this is provided by our in-house club and at KS2 is run by Fit for Sport. Spaces for either of these are limited. We strive to instill the attitude of being able to communicate our thoughts and ideas clearly so others can understand them as it is one of the most important life skills. This was one of the most common requests by the pupils at St James', we care about, and place a great deal of emphasis on t…

We are very proud that we are a truly independent prep school, preparing children for a wide range of senior schools for transfer at both eleven and thirteen. Over the years many hundreds of children have attended St. Hugh's from within Lincolnshire and beyond. For some current pupils, they represent the third generation of their fami…
