About Me

  1. Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University is one of the oldest higher education establishments in the Ural region (founded in 1921). In the not-so-distant future, the University will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University is one of the leading universities in international Education. The University is situated on the very borderline between Europe and Asia, and therefore has strong connections with European and Asian world-leading educators. Today the University is an educational, cultural, and scientific center of the Western Urals. Over 7,000 students study here annually. Students receive degrees in more than 30 professional spheres. The environment created in our University drastically differs from the other higher education establishments. Our priority is to create an environment in which students will be able to discover their potential. Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University represents a full-featured campus in the city center. The campus comprises more than 20 structures, including academic and economic buildings, halls of residence, sports centers, and scientific stations. The foundation of the University is made up of 4 academic buildings with 13 faculties. Each faculty of PSHPU has its own educational and laboratory resources as well as economic infrastructures. The University's main buildings are situated in Perm's center, near the junction of Pushkin Street with Sibirskaya and 25th of October Streets. In total, there are 164 classrooms and 16 computer labs at the disposal of the University. The University provides a wide range of creative and sports activities. PHP possesses 12 gymnasiums. 2 gym halls for gymnastics and table tennis are situated in the second building. And there is an entire sports and recreation center in the fourth building. Also, student hostel number 4 (25th of October., 37) is home to 4 gyms, and two of them are meant for body-building. Our curriculum for international students emphasizes social sciences as they already have an excellent foundation for further development. For example, for several years, the Philological Faculty has been offering English-speaking students from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland). It is essential and prestigious because many students from Edinburgh, while choosing between Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Perm, finally opt in favor of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University to learn the Russian language, thus testifying to the high quality of Education in our University. The language studies component is powerful at the University. This is precisely why we provide intensive Russian courses to foreign residents. The duration of the language course is one year. The program of the course is designed for the study of Russian from scratch. Such courses are in high demand as the language gap is becoming a severe obstacle for students abroad. The teaching staff of the University includes: 68 full professors, 294 associate professors, one member of the Russian Academy of Education, five members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, four members of the Russian and International Public Academies, 20 honored workers of the Russian Federation 125 holders of state awards and prizes over 60% of teachers have a doctor's degree. Following the idea of furthering international Education worldwide, Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University understands the necessity of training fully international educators capable of teaching worldwide. Our first and foremost priority is to create an environment with open opportunities and conditions in which every student, regardless of nationality and religion, will realize his or her potential in science, sports, political, or any other constructive activity. According to the Russian legislation, educational programs of higher professional Education are formed at the university in compliance with federal educational standards. The educational process at the university is carried out at 13 faculties. Moreover, the process of pre-university Education is organized, including preliminary courses in 8 major school subjects. It exists at the faculty of additional Education. View full university

  4. Today we live in the age of rapid changes, innovations, and physical and social mobility growth. Contemporary scholars call modern society a knowledge society where information and communication play a key role. Education is considered an investment into its own social and cultural capital; therefore, an educational institution's choice is the principal's decision in human life. Pedagogical education and teacher training is an essential mission of our University. Moscow Pedagogical State University combines the tradition and modernity expressed in the foundational pedagogical education and applied features of teaching subjects simultaneously. Contemporary theoretical and applied knowledge is the leading competitive factor of future teachers. MSPU is the only pedagogical University in Russia which Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, visited on the First Day of Knowledge of the new century and millennium – September 1, 2001. Vladimir Putin underlined, Moscow State Pedagogical is a model that all other country's pedagogical universities aim at. We are proud that thousands of Russian and foreign citizens graduated from our University and became first-class specialists in the specific field of sciences and education. MSPU personnel will do everything possible to make education in MSPU one of the brightest impressions of your life. Our University is one of the oldest Russian Universities, and this imposes on us certain obligations concerning the whole system of education in Russia and pedagogical universities. Our understanding of University history is connected with the synthesis of traditions and innovations. Our main task deals with maintaining the continuing history of MSPU, developing its glorious traditions, and defining our University's future appearance. Talent, self-sacrifice, loyalty to the professional choice, and civil responsibility for the younger generation's education have always distinguished graduates of our University – its honor and fame. It is necessary to harmonize the unity of shared culture, axiological, psychological and pedagogical, fundamental and objective and methodical components while preparing future teachers to train cultured, creative people who can react quickly and adequately to the challenges of time. We have to create the pedagogical University of the XXI century. The University holds scientific conferences, practical seminars, workshops on items of current importance. The professor staff supports scientists from abroad, involving them in particular research projects, international conferences, and seminars. MSPU also helps to publish papers of foreign colleagues in scientific periodicals. MSPU also participates in many projects oriented towards innovative education in different fields, such as modern teaching methods, investigations on contemporary mentalities, economic globalization, IT-technologies in education, etc. The international activities of MSPU are focused on academic and scientific cooperation. However, we pay special attention to supporting international students with their studies and living in Moscow. One of our top priorities for the nearest perspective is to enroll MSPU students in the Mobility Programme supported by European and International Educational Organisations. MSPU established close ties with several internationally recognized schools and universities and productively cooperated with its partners in student and faculty staff exchanges, scientific projects, conferences, and seminars. We strongly believe in the future of internship programs as a way of student exchanges, first in preschool and school teaching and training organized in MSPU partner-schools of Moscow. 12. The Pedagogical University of Cracow, named after the Commission of National Education, is the largest and one of the oldest pedagogical universities in Poland, which has long been prized for a well-deserved reputation. The achievements of numerous generations of the teaching staff and students (over 150 thousand graduates), as well as the efforts of the employees, who want to continue modern education responding to the challenges of the twenty-first century, as well as cooperation with the renowned academic institutions in Europe, have formed the present University. Maintaining a high level of education in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Educational Sciences, Natural Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Technical Sciences and Fine Arts to the highest European standards, as well as the regular extension of the educational offer and making it more attractive, and continuing internationalization of scientific research in various areas of professional interest of the academic staff is at present the main objective of the activity and in the plans of the authorities and the Senate of the Pedagogical University. Apart from the highest level of education of students – which is and has been our priority – we focus on the continuous development of academics and their cooperation with strong centers, domestic and foreign, as well as raising funds for research grants. The ultimate goal is to prepare our students and graduates for their future careers and achievements according to their skills and expectations. The variety of educational programs on offer at our University – currently being adapted to the needs of the labor market – is truly impressive. It includes dozens of fields of studies at the first and second degree levels, Ph.D. degree studies, and postgraduate studies in six faculties (seven shortly): Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Pedagogy, Faculty of Geography and Biology, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Technical Science and Faculty of Art. Our students and doctoral students truly have a lot to choose from. For many years we have attached particular importance to the practical learning of foreign languages at the Department of Foreign Languages. Foreign language skills are essential for functioning well in a globalized world in the twenty-first century and are crucial for students learning under the Erasmus program, which is connected with departure to foreign partner universities and participation in lectures and courses in the language of the host country. We have significantly expanded the infrastructure of the University with the construction of another university building at ul. Podchorążych 2, which is ultra-modern, has well-equipped course rooms and laboratories, and has multimedia classrooms and multiple-stand computer rooms, enabling teaching as well as the use of e-learning platforms. Students have the rich collections of the Main Library, faculty libraries, and institute libraries at their disposal. They may participate in scientific circles, become active in organizations and associations, join Students’ Self-Government and Doctoral Students’ Self-Government, practice sports using modern facilities available at the Sports and Recreation Centre, including an indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and pursue musical passions at the Mixed Choir “Educators” and the symphony orchestra.
