Chelyabinsk State University was established in 1976 and had become the first university of the South Ural. More than 27 000 students are enrolled in 12 faculties and six teaching and research institutes. There are three branches in the CSU structure (Miass, Troitsk, and Kostanay (Kazakhstan)) and 13 offices (Verkhniy Ufaley, Shadrinsk, Kopeysk, Orsk, Nyazepetrovsk, Trekhgorny, Yuzhnouralsk, Satka, Zlatoust, Kyshtym, Yuryuzan, Ust-Katav, and Argayash). Chelyabinsk State University is an essential high education organization that provides education for disabled and physically impaired students in the Ural Federal District. For almost 20 years, CSU has been making high education available for invalids and forming an inclusive education system for disabled students. Integral education for disabled students in CSU was organized based on both Russian experience and the achievements of international cooperation on the European Commission and international funds projects. Experts of the European Commission of Education called inclusive education for disabled people in CSU outstanding. CSU works on the implementation of inclusive education in collaboration with many different organizations on different levels: with regional and municipal bodies of executive power social protection services educational, medicinal and employment organizations communities of disabled people, public organizations, business corporations, etc Chelyabinsk State University has been successfully developing more than thirty scientific schools. 65% of CSU lecturers have a scientific degree. Candidates of science and associate professors make up 51% of doctors and professors - 14%. The range of scientists whose works are financed by grants of European Commission like "Tempus," as well as President of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Chelyabinsk region and scientific funds: such as Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFFI), Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund (RGNF) increases gradually. Chelyabinsk State University always works on the establishment of intercommunications with foreign universities. There are partner relations and cooperation with universities of the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, China, Turkey, Syria, etc. More than 500 international students study at CSU. CSU is the leading educational institution in the Region of South Urals. The European experience and the Russian education traditions are successfully combined to give its students the fullest and the most state-of-the-art knowledge on various subjects. Being an active member of a wide range of international partnership programs, CSU is the university that grants its students and staff mobility and a chance to hone as well as to apply their professional skills in new cultural, educational, and professional environments. As the list of active partnerships is continually growing, CSU's quest for perfection in education is sure to continue.
South Ural State Humanitarian Pedagogical University is one of the oldest higher educational establishments in the Chelyabinsk Region. It was founded in 1934 as Chelyabinsk Pedagogical Institute. Over the years, SUSHPU has proved its effectiveness and sustainability and has become one of the most popular Universities among school-leavers throughout the region. More than 80 000 SUSHPU graduates work at Chelyabinsk, Chelyabinsk Region, in Russia and abroad. SUZHOU alumni are the "golden fund" of the region's educational system. About 15 000 students receive education on the programs of advanced vocational and additional training in SUSHPU nowadays. The University staff is composed of over 1 200 members. Annually the entrance commission enrolls above 4 000 applicants for studying the programs of higher education. Besides, approximately 3 500 people enter the Institute of Additional Education and Professional Training under additional vocational programs of professional reorientation and further training. The University is a large center of learning, teaching, and research. Over 400 SUSHPU scientists explore various fields of knowledge, including Education and Educational sciences. 240 Russian and international students investigate postgraduate programs. Our research associates carry out expert and consulting activities and cooperate with Russian and foreign colleagues, learning from each others' successes and failures. SUZHOU is now actively developing a strategy to promote its worldwide relations, global profile, and international competitiveness. It is open to multilateral academic and scientific cooperation based on "mutual benefit and common prosperity." SUZHOU has currently established networking partnerships with such major higher educational institutions in Russia as M. Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University, Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University, Orenburg State Pedagogical University, and Mordovian State Pedagogical Institute named after M. E. Evsevyev. It is also included in the Chinese-Russian association of higher educational teacher-training establishments. Currently, 1009 international students study at SUSHPU under bilateral cooperation agreements with 13 CIS and far abroad countries. South-Ural State Humanitarian - Pedagogical University stands for its traditions and the best standards of pedagogical education set by our prominent scientists and administrators. The collective body of SUSHPU is represented by 570 permanent professors, including 85 Doctors of Science and 315 Candidates of Science. The University structure comprises 13 faculties, two institutes, and 54 academic departments. SUZHOU is now firmly on the upgrade, and therefore it can meet all the challenges of the present day. The University provides relevant competitive education with the widespread use of advanced informational and educational technologies. Our campus facilities include an observatory, conference-hall equipped with a stereo system for science film screenings. Scientific laboratories such as "Neo-lessons" educational center opened in 2014 as part of the "Scientific entertainment" project. The center aims to implement interactive training tools in the educational process. Our foremost priority is to create a learning environment that enables students to realize their potential. For this reason, Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University is continually expanding the range of educational services. Also, SUSHPU is gradually developing its significant presence in the global education space. Our University is old, but it is still young, being a place of everlasting childhood.
