Oasis Academy Blakenhale Junior is an improving school. Our recent re-design of our building and internal improvements has allowed us to design a school that fits the needs and purposes of our pupils. We aim to be at the heart of our community and care about the provision we offer all our pupils. From Year 3 to Year 6, each child has the benefit of staff dedicated to encouraging them along the journey of learning and discovery, within the security of a caring atmosphere where all staff in partnership with parents and carers work together. Our link with parents/carers and the wider community is extremely important to us and strengthening these bonds through the development of our community hub and the ongoing activities within the school means we are fully inclusive. Oasis Academy Blakenhale Junior is driven by a powerful ethos that aspires to treat everyone inclusively and recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to education. As well as continuing to build a strong school and deliver a first-class education, it is also our desire to build an interconnected community, recognizing that educational needs do not exist in isolation from the needs of the whole person.

Our curriculum focuses on teaching the students to develop the basic skills they need to access learning to become independent, lifelong learners. A strong emphasis is placed on the children learning and applying their acquired skills through a creative and contextualized curriculum. The International Primary Curriculum is the vehicle for the children to be able to develop their skills across the curriculum in enjoyable, real-life contexts as part of their learning journey.
At Oasis Academy Blakenhale Junior, we believe that children have a right to expect an irresistible curriculum that is fun, motivating, interesting, and most importantly purposeful. We strive to develop imagination through an International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which is stimulating, creative, and encompasses an environment where every child has the opportunity to shine. The curriculum is the totality of every experience we offer our children during their time in our school.
The National Curriculum has three broad aims. It should enable all young people to become:
