About Me

  1. The University of Agriculture in Krakow derives its experience from the intellectual heritage and tradition of the Jagiellonian University. At this very University, agronomical and forestry sciences developed since 1890 and young people were educated with particular regard to their patriotic upbringing. From the moment when the Study of Agronomy was founded at the Jagiellonian University, agriculture has been permanently taught at the university level. Over the whole history of these studies, the subsequent generations of professors followed a common guiding principle, i.e. bringing up young people in reverence for civil liberties and ethical rules. For such attitude, the members of academic staff often suffered repressive measures and some were even deprived of the right to teach. Today, after fifty years of the University functioning as an independent institution we still recognize the independence of ideas and attitudes as well as protection of commonly accepted academic rules and values as our priorities. The main objective of the University of Agriculture in Krakow as the institution of higher education is educating experts who would find employment in the widely understood food and forest economies and specialists in environmental protection. The University aims to prepare professionals able to meet the challenges of contemporary sustainable development based on ecological rules of management and utilization of the Earth resources. Anticipating the future trends of economic development the University provides modern knowledge and skills in agricultural sciences, forestry, biological and economic sciences, and engineering. Socio-economic changes which occurred in Poland caused that a new type of qualifications is now expected from the University of Agriculture graduate. In place of a professional prepared to supervise production processes in agriculture, a specialist able to combine his technological expertise with advisory skills and proper economic knowledge is required. The University of Agriculture graduate, highly proficient in his knowledge and communication skills should be properly prepared to work in the areas of widely understood services for agriculture. A growing number of specialists in the EU countries has such profile of professional qualifications. Due to such a defined graduate profile, the University constantly modifies and updates its curricula at the same time extending the scope of biological subjects and humanities. The core of these changes should be programs constructed to enable not only teaching but also stimulating creative thinking in students. Diversification of study programs may be a chance to reach this objective. However, it requires a new outlook on the role of an academic teacher who should become more of a moderator and guide in the teaching process using modern teaching methods. To provide the graduates with skills that would meet the expectations and needs of the future labor market, information technologies are implemented as part of curricula in all fields of studies. Also, internships realized both outside our University and in its experimental units are changing their character given introduced modifications. All members of the academic staff are obliged to do their best to maintain a high quality of teaching. Participation in extensive research programs also international ones and adopting information technologies to assist the development of agriculture should build up the importance and strengthen the University identity both in Poland and abroad. Our University should develop in many directions through: adjustment of traditional fields of studies to future needs of agriculture and natural environment through modifications of present teaching programs to meet the expectations of the young generation and match the socio-economic changes in Poland and the EU seeking new lines of teaching and research which can develop in future concern for the dynamic development of staff capable of researching a world level in all disciplines represented at the University organizational changes allowing for successful training of students, conducting research activities, and simultaneously properly utilizing the University resources. The Malopolska region has a specific agrarian structure and regional profile. It should be reflected in both didactic and research activities pursued at the University, mainly concerning mountain economy and agritourism, organic farming, and natural environment protection. The University of Agriculture in Krakow boasts a rich tradition of close co-operation with universities in Krakow and with other academic institutions in Poland and abroad. Continuing and strengthening this collaboration will add to and widen our educational and research offer, which will serve to meet the future social and civilization needs.
  2. The carabao has always been the symbol of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU). The carabao is resilient even through the ages, synonymous with actions and sustained accomplishments - that is, TAU through the years. It is always good to go back to memory lane and learn how the University has weathered storms before reaching its present status. In an environment of academic excellence, TAU harnesses, develops, and catalyzes the conversion of students' full potentials and capabilities into becoming responsible and competent professionals in agriculture and allied disciplines.TAU shall primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in agriculture, agribusiness management, science and technology, engineering, teacher education, non-traditional courses, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also undertake research, extension services, and production activities to support the development of the Province of Tarlac and provide leadership in its areas of specialization. The Institution was established in 1944 as Camiling Boys/Girls High School. It started with 368 students, 13 faculty members, and a school principal. It stopped operation in December 1944 but resumed after the Liberation as Tarlac High School, Camiling Branch. The school's reopening was a response to the clamor of parents whose children stopped schooling during the war years and the difficulty of traveling from Camiling to Tarlac City. On July 6, 1945, Municipal Resolution No. 34 created the Camiling Vocational Agricultural School (CVAS), replacing Tarlac High School, Camiling Branch. Its focus on vocational agriculture was considered a means to hasten the town's economic recovery from the ravages of the war. CVAS had 534 students and 13 faculty. From 1945 to 1948, the school offered two curricula – the general academic to enable the former students to graduate and the agriculture curriculum for the first year and second-year students. On September 26, 1946, the school was renamed Camiling Rural High School (CRHS). In 1948, the general curriculum was phased out. Early in 1952, the Director of Public Schools noticed that the school should be relocated to a permanent site and increase declining enrollment; otherwise, it might be closed or transferred to another town. The most conducive agricultural school's expansion was found in Malacampa, a barangay seven kilometers away from the town. In June 1953, the school with 155 students and eight faculty moved to the new site. Classrooms and offices were made of bamboos and nipa in the "middle of a wilderness." Funds from FOA-PHILCUSA later came, and permanent buildings replaced the bamboo structures. Expansion and development had been accelerated when CRHS was converted to Tarlac National Agricultural School (TNAS) in 1957, under a Superintendent. It became a policy to make all projects profitable – piggery, poultry, goat, and vegetables. Linkage for research started from pork barrel funds. In 1961, the two-year technical agriculture post-secondary course was opened, and in 1963, the Health Center was built out of funds from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). By that time, TNAS already had a school hymn and a student publication, "The Carabao." On January 14, 2010, Dr. Max P. Guillermo assumed the presidency of the Institution. He pursued a new strategic planning initiative: TCA @ 2015 that outlined the formulated institutional plans, based on strategic programmatic strengths supported by a comprehensive development plan to make the then TCA an energized incubator of new ideas and center of innovation. Significant milestones in realizing the vision to be a recognized higher education institution in the Southeast Asian Region are broadly demonstrated during Dr. Guillermo's second term. His term is characterized by more aggressive and more vigorous actions, all directed toward its persistent pursuit of quality and excellence. Intensified mechanisms in realizing the Institution's quest for quality assurance are the landmark accomplishments of Dr. Guillermo's administration. It is under his administration that the Institution had been awarded an institutional accreditation status making a record as the first AACCUP Institutionally Accredited State College in the Philippines, the second SUC granted institutional accreditation by AACCUP under the outcomes-based quality assurance (OBQA) paradigm, and the fourth SUC awarded institutional accreditation status by AACCUP. As it strives to achieve the highest levels of excellence in delivering higher education, TAU has also undergone Institutional Sustainability Assessment (based on CMO No. 46, s. 2012) conducted by CHED. On January 1, 2016, the Agriculture Education of the College of Agriculture and Forestry was designated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as the Center of Development (COD). In contrast, the College of Education's Teacher Education programs were certified by CHED as the Center of Excellence (COE) effective April 1, 2016. Furthermore, all the 23 program offerings of the University are already accredited, most of which are submitted for higher accreditation status. Due to the drift in the internationalization of higher education, the University has also intensified and strengthened its global partnerships, linkages, and collaborations to expand its network, broaden its prospects, and strengthen resource generation initiatives. These collaborations and partnerships paved the way for faculty exchange and numerous research paper presentations and opportunities for sending OJT students abroad. All of these also ushered diversified avenues for international (cross-border) mobility of students. An evident change in TAU's environment is also observed with the massive infrastructure projects designed to cater to its stakeholders' ever-changing needs. The rise of new structures and rehabilitation of existing buildings that house well-ventilated and spacious classrooms and well-equipped laboratories has been a priority of the University administration. On May 10, 2016, a significant historical leap for the TCA had been taken as it was officially converted into TAU by Republic Act No. 10800, "An Act Converting the Tarlac College of Agriculture in the Municipality of Camiling, Province of Tarlac into a State University to be known as the Tarlac Agricultural University," signed by His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino III.TAU is mandated by law to provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in agriculture, agribusiness management, science and technology, engineering, teacher education, non-traditional courses, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also undertake research, extension services, and production activities to support the development of the Province of Tarlac and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization. The change in status and shift in perspective pose immense challenges to TAU. A practical, in-depth, well-planned, and well-executed strategic development plan must sustain quality, competence, and competitiveness in agricultural education and allied courses. The TAU Strategic Development Plan (2016 to 2025) has been crafted through the stakeholders' combined wisdom and vision for TAU. It serves as the blueprint of the ten-year strategic directions carefully laid out to realize the University's breakthrough goals. The advent of ASEAN integration and the drift in internationalization, alongside its mandate, compel TAU to craft development-oriented functions and outcomes-based education to meet global demands and standards. These include the processes and strategies of integrating international, intercultural, and global dimensions into the goals, functions, and delivery of higher education. With all these changes and challenges, TAU still believes that a relevant and quality education is indispensable in shaping the country and the world holistically.

  5. At Tando Jam, the college was able to promote agricultural education steadily in the province. Thus remarkable accomplishments of the college paved the way for raising the status of the college to the full-fledged university on 1st March 1977, named Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam established under Act of 1977. The broad objectives of establishing Agriculture University, Tando Jam were to sharpen focus on agricultural education, improve quality of learning, promote integrated outlook in the functions of teaching, research, and extension, produce service-oriented graduates and generate appropriate technologies. Pakistan is one of the signatory countries of the World Trade Organization (WTO). The agreements on Agriculture in the context of free trade worldwide have increased the responsibilities of agricultural universities of the country to groom and motivate the youth specializing in different disciplines of agriculture by strengthening their efforts to manifold to face the competition in agriculture trade and services worldwide. The university faculty has to formulate a road map to combat the challenges that our farmers are anticipating under the WTO regime. We are extremely conscious of our role in fulfilling these challenges. Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam has yet to play a constructive, aggressive, and anchor role in the agriculture-based economic development of the province. Local, as well as global access to higher education, has increased the awareness among the potential students to decide on the best-ranked universities in the region for their tertiary education. Resultantly, it is an urgent priority of the universities to gain a better ranking among the competitors. An important component for teachers and students of higher education institutes today is the ability to acquire technical and scientific knowledge along with fast professional growth while remaining satisfied with their educational environment and performing to their best of abilities. A quality educational environment helps teachers and students to gain confidence. Therefore, initiating confidence-building measures at Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam among students and faculty members is going to be a pressing priority for me. "Committed to contributing towards self-sufficiency and sustainability in agriculture to ensure food security by producing trained manpower, conducting problem-oriented research and establishing effective linkages with the stakeholders".

The original and a copy of the document on education (certificate of secondary (complete) general education/diploma of secondary vocational education/diploma of higher education). The possibility of obtaining financial state support by the agricultural producer is established both by the Russian Federation laws and by legal acts of those regions in which the activities of the commodity producer are carried out. In particular, it is possible to receive subsidies for the development of the material and technical base (for example, the acquisition of modern equipment), support for plant growing and livestock breeding (for example, the purchase of farm animals, seeds, and planting materials, fertilizers), reimbursement of part of the cost of interest on loans and borrowings, development of design estimates and construction (acquisition, repair, reconstruction) of production and storage facilities, other facilities required for production, storage envy and processing of agricultural products. Thus, the purposes for which grants and subsidies can be provided are very diverse. Financial support is provided to both peasant farms (the head of the farm can only perform duties if he has an individual entrepreneur) and agricultural consumer cooperatives. The exact size of the financial support provided depends on such circumstances as the size of the farmer's funds, the business plan, the expenditure plan, and the amount of money available in a particular region's budget. Regional authorities determine the procedure and amount of receiving a grant or grant. Therefore, for more detailed information on agricultural producers' financial support in your region, you should contact the Department of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Vologda region.

TUAT will continue to move forward to enrich Japan and the world and create a brighter society. The rapid expansion and deepening of knowledge and the profound transformation of technologies and social systems they inspired are significant factors characterizing the 20th century. Today, in the 21st century, such changes not only continue to occur but seem to accelerate. The production and transfer of highly sophisticated knowledge (academic and research) have not only come to possess an unprecedentedly considerable significance for individuals, communities, and nations. However, they have also become indispensable in cultural, economic, and environmentally sustainable developments throughout society. Amid this, universities play a central role in academic and cultural developments through their leading-edge academic and research activities. Their presence and role as leaders of such developments are ever-more significant.
  10. By advancing knowledge and expanding our approach to practical learning, we will contribute to regional and international societies by developing human resources with skills in sustainable agriculture that can protect our food resources. Taking full advantage of its location in Tokachi, Hokkaido, the breadbasket of Japan, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine is the only national agricultural university in Japan that provides a world-class education in agriculture, animal husbandry, and veterinary medicine. Our mission is to advance knowledge and expand practical learning to contribute to regional and international societies. Our graduates have the skills and knowledge to promote sustainable agriculture and protect our food resources. Agriculture, animal husbandry, and veterinary medicine are academic areas that require practical learning. Therefore, information and experience must be combined in students' academic lives and rooted in everyday people's lives. The various issues associated with agriculture, an industry that involves working with nature, and issues associated with food, the source of our health, are inevitably linked closely with global issues that modern societies face, such as climate change, food security, energy problems, and infectious diseases. Therefore, academic contributions in agriculture, which sustain the agricultural industry, are necessary to solve these global issues. The School of Veterinary Medicine curriculum takes full advantage of our university's distinctiveness to integrate training in agriculture and animal husbandry into veterinary medicine education. The curriculum focuses on understanding the mechanisms that control animal life and training veterinarians who can excel not only in the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases but also in the production and management of animals. Under the slogan "from farm to table," we train our students to scientifically study life, food, and the environment to develop as professionals who can be active in a wide range of agricultural and livestock fields, including food hygiene. In this global age, when national borders are rapidly dissolving, we strive to train people in agriculture to meet the demands of society. We will foster global human resources at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine by collaborating with regional institutes of research and development and enterprises associated with agriculture, food, and animals and international organizations responsible for food safety and those assisting developing countries. To this end, we will take action based on four core principles: Develop a curriculum that is equal to the educational level of Europe and America Pursue global collaborative research and educational exchanges with top universities around the world Develop human resources through practical training that conforms to international standards for safety and hygiene Conduct collaborative research and human resource development suited to the needs of society and business
  11. Our history goes back over more than a century. ESA, Ecole Supérieure d’Agricultures, saw the light of day in 1898 with the encouragement of professionals from the rural world in the West of France. They wanted to develop the agricultural sector by creating a school specialized in training engineers in agriculture. Throughout the 20th century, new development (research, international, etc.) and training (distance teaching, Bac +2, 3, and more study programs) activities were added to the school’s original goals. Our job is to train women and men, young and adults, from all walks of life who aspire to a higher education or professional qualification to help them to achieve their goals. To this end, our agricultural training center implements various educational systems that emphasize experience, individual support, and moral reflection. ESA is established in Anger in the West of France, the leading agricultural and agri-food region of France. At the regional level, ESA is part of the Université Bretagne Loire. It collaborates with the universities of Anger and Nantes, as well as with the grandes écoles of the Pays de la Loire (Oniris, Agrocampus Ouest, etc.). It actively contributes to the plant (Végépolys) and the agri-food (Valorial) competitiveness clusters. Also, ESA’s CFA (networked apprenticeship training center) promotes the development of apprenticeships in 22 lycées (higher secondary schools) affiliated with the CNEAP network (Conseil National de l’Enseignement Agricole Privé – National council of private agricultural educational establishments) of the Pays de la Loire. At the national level, ESA is one of the four private undergraduate and graduate agricultural schools (grandes écoles d’agriculture) that make up FESIA (Fédération des Ingénieurs pour l’alimentation, l’agriculture et l’environnement – French network for Education and Research in Life Sciences). The four schools are ESA in Angers, ISARA in Lyon, ISA in Lille and INP in Toulouse. It is also part of CNEAP, CGE (Conférence des Grandes Ecoles – Conference of Grandes Ecoles) and FESIC (Fédération d’Écoles Supérieures d’Ingénieurs et de Cadres – Federation of Higher Schools of Engineering and Business Studies). ESA is a well-known participant in European exchange programs (Erasmus +, etc.). Outside of Europe, it collaborates with, for example, China, Brazil, Russia, and Argentina and has developed partnerships – of which more than 10 in the area of double qualifications – with 139 universities from all over the world. ESA’s international dimension reflected by its Erasmus + recognized masters’ programs, the 250 international students hosted each year of 35 different nationalities, and some ten visiting lecturers give the school its cachet. Since its very beginnings, ESA has sought to be open to all students, adults, and companies, and, more generally, to society. The school undertakes applied research in the agricultural and agri-food sectors and trains professionals responsive to contemporary issues. This expertise permeates our training, and the study contributes to it. In the area of education and training, ESA is different in that it offers all higher education levels from the Bac to the Doctorate. Several modes of teaching are offered to make them available to young people and adults from different walks of life: full-time (initial and continuous), work-study (apprenticeship agreements and professional training contracts), distance learning, and validation of professional experience (VAE). Each year, 2,500 students choose to study at ESA, thereby making it one of the leading agricultural higher educational groups in France. In the professional area: the most significant companies call on ESA for their development (training of employees, orders for research, assistance in recruitment, counseling and specialized training for employees of foreign subsidiaries, etc.). These constant exchanges allow us to remain always in step with the challenges and realities of the world of work. Nearly 2,000 French and foreign business partners place their trust in us each year. In the area of research: from the outset, a pioneer in responsible agriculture, ESA has always been active and Forward-thinking to position itself at the forefront of ideas. This is reflected in the school-business chairs, “Changes in Agriculture” and “Ecologically Intensive Agriculture.” Given the growing food needs of humanity, the research work responds to the issues and challenges facing society, such as, for example, learning to produce both more and better by ensuring the renewal of the planet’s resources or, with an aging population, guaranteeing older adults a healthy diet. ESA is a multidisciplinary training and research center, the fields of expertise ranging from agricultural production to the development of our living environment. Studying at ESA means benefiting from a setting conducive to your personal development and growth at a school specializing in agriculture. You will be enriched by the exchanges with the lecturers, with the other students during group work and in the student clubs and societies. ESA makes it easy to progress from one level of studies to another. You can thus start with a short course, then decide to go on to another study program. You can also directly join a so-called “long” agricultural study program, such as a five-year engineering course after your secondary school diploma. In some programs, such as Agricadre or Engineering, the possibilities may also take the form of a double qualification, either with an international agronomic university or with a first business school.
  12. View full university

TUAT education and research aim to pursue further the truth based on free ideas and produce learned researchers, engineers, and highly specialized professionals who uncompromisingly reflect on the influence science and technology have on the Earth, society, and humanity. To this purpose, the university herein sets forth the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Charter as its principles and goals. Due to the rapid population increases and the accompanying surges in energy usage, our world faces various problems. Conversely, Japan's population is shrinking, and we are approaching an era with a superannuated society. To resolve the numerous challenges found both in Japan and around the world, we believe it is imperative to preserve the environment and ensure food safety and promote scientific and technological innovation. TUAT engages in research focusing on three critical keywords—the environment, energy, food, and research in peripheral domains. Our graduate schools include the Institute of Agriculture, Institute of Engineering, Graduate School of Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering, United Graduate School of Agricultural Science, and Leading Graduate School. Our faculty members and graduate students cooperate to promote cutting-edge research. TUAT has long emphasized the importance of collaboration between industry and academia and focuses on implementing practical science. The ratio of external funding in our overall budget is one of the nation's highest. TUAT also maintains high figures for the number of collaborative research projects and research funds per faculty member. We naturally put great effort into education, aiming to produce world-class graduates. Our programs are designed to cultivate talented individuals who possess both deep expertise and a broad knowledge base. In addition to supporting various educational activities for students, TUAT provides extensive aid to students studying overseas and those engaged in collaborative research. TUAT has concluded academic exchange agreements with over eighty leading universities outside Japan. TUAT welcomes superior international students and researchers to enrich education and research through global exchange. To ensure our educational programs' high quality, we will continue to promote reform and innovation to make our university even better. We will utilize our characteristics and expertise in agriculture and engineering's key academic fields to enhance the university and promote innovation that generates fresh discoveries and unique knowledge. A great many challenges lie ahead, but if TUAT faculty and students come together as one to take on these challenges, harness the knowledge we have accumulated, and come up with new ideas, we will surmount them. View full university
  25. To this end, we will take action based on four core principles: Develop a curriculum that is equal to the educational level of Europe and America Pursue global collaborative research and educational exchanges with top universities around the world Develop human resources through practical training that conforms to international standards for safety and hygiene Conduct collaborative research and human resource development suited to the needs of society and business View full university
