      1. The University of Peshawar, as a mother educational institution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is an outcome of the dream of the father of the nation and was created as the first-ever University after independence. It is vigorously working with its full zeal and spirit, truly serving and sacred cause of education altogether. The University of Peshawar is not only catering to the academic needs of Peshawar but also of the whole province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). The highly qualified and trained faculty, student-friendly and supportive administration, modern curricula, conducive academic environment, and excellent infrastructure are the hallmarks of the University. To be a prominent public sector university in the region, recognized for its global perspective, diverse and supportive learning environment, having an international reputation in research and creative discovery, and emphasis on leadership development. The University of Peshawar, a future-oriented and unique institution is committed to achieving excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, research, and public service. The University provides superior and comprehensive educational opportunities through doctoral and special professional educational levels. The University contributes to the advancement of society through research, creative activity, scholarly inquiry, and the development of knowledge. The University preserves and promotes arts, benefits the nation’s economy, serves the citizens through public programs, and is dedicated to the production of quality human resources for the knowledge-driven development of the country. University of Peshawar (1950) is the third oldest university in Pakistan after Punjab and Jamshoro. It started as a comprehensive university with a great mix of basic and applied sciences, humanities and social sciences, and professional disciplines such as engineering, medicine, agriculture, forestry, commerce, home economics, and law. By the mid-eighties, the University of Peshawar was an education city rather than a university campus. It is still so though the professional disciplines have been clipped away as separate universities and institutions (Engineering University, Agriculture University, Peshawar Forest Institute, Khyber Medical College, etc.). These universities and institutions have fortified themselves as islands but the University of Peshawar has kept itself open and vast as an ocean and still equally caters needs of students, faculty, and staff on campus irrespective of their affiliation. In the process, the university has been facing all kinds of pressures ranging from security concerns, financial crunches, and deteriorating academic standards. The research culture at the University of Peshawar is well entrenched and dates back to many decades. On average, Ph.D. and MS/MPhil students experience waiting for the evaluation of their thesis after submission for over a year, which has set the research output by the university at its abysmal low. We need to not only facilitate the faculty and students engaged in research but also furnish them with the respect they deserve. Together with the Islamia College, the University of Peshawar has catered to the needs of the region at its best. Most of the provincial leadership in the last half a century owes their education and training and ultimate rise to executive positions to the University of Peshawar. This role as the hatchery for future leadership of the province and the country needs to be not only upheld but also needs further strengthening to ensure the university’s continued relevance to society. 5. Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) is the only management school of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and its recognition has been extending beyond the province. It has been ranked as the 4th best business school in Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in its public and private universities/institutes. This ranking also makes it the best business school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The ranking was based on the implementation status of quality assurance, teaching excellence, and research work at the universities/institutes. IMSciences is among the few business schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which has been accredited in the "W" category for its BBA and MBA programs by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC). As a public sector Institute, it is markedly different from others because it is fully autonomous and self-governing. This enables it to respond quickly to all new developments in academia and meet the requirements of employers. IMSciences operates intending to foster growth in students' know-how and professional skills and enable them to remain competitive in a tight labor market. It has been successful in achieving this specific objective, and over time it has expanded its functions. Today IMSciences offers degree programs in business administration, management, information technology, and public health. These are all closely tied knowledge bases that help create synergy and foster the cross-fertilization of knowledge. The current position of the IMSciences as a forerunner in education provision has come about as a unique case of well-sustained development. To be a premier institution of higher education by achieving excellence in teaching, research, entrepreneurship, and service to society. We aim at enhancing the potential of our students and employees by adhering to our core values. Good education plays a vital role in the socio-economic advancement of a young mind, and indeed, it promotes the socio-economic development of a country. Fortunate are those who avail opportunities to seek higher education for their benefit and the country's good. In Pakistan, only 15% of your age group, i.e., 16-25 years old, can avail of such an opportunity to enroll in a university. Our quality enhancement center also ensures that we maintain the highest quality standards of higher education in the country. Our Business and Economic Review-Journal also stands approved by the Higher Education Commission and is published bi-annually. These facilities will offer you ample opportunities to excel in academic standings, research, and job creation. As an institute owned by the Government of KPK, we maximize our financial resources to ensure that those who qualify on open merit but need finances for their studies do get full or partial funding. We operate about 46 need and merit-based scholarship programs, reaching out to 51% of our students. This year we have further improved our infrastructural facilities and have added five new buildings to our existing facilities. These include parking facilities, a student-teacher center, a new hostel, an auditorium and research center, and a full-fledged gymnasium.

      7. Since its establishment in 1913, this iconic institution has always been the dream destination of all youngsters aspiring for excellence in academics, sports, debates, and other personality development areas. For the last more than a century, it has been relentlessly equipping the youth of this province and the nation with great ideals, exemplary character, and excellent skills. Entirely in line with its enormous role in making the dream of Pakistan a reality, Islamia College Peshawar has always been at the forefront of safeguarding its ideological and geographical frontiers. After becoming a public sector university in 2008, ICP's domain of contribution has enormously expanded. Capitalizing on its glorious past, it is confidently setting new goals following the current and emerging scenarios' highly competitive academic environment. Our students, faculty, and supporting staff are jointly striving to retain and enhance our image of excellence and fulfill the expectations of all those associated with us—alumni, parents, educationists, and the entire nation. Islamia College Peshawar, the symbol of academic excellence, is rich in history. It is a building, which is the best embodiment of Muslim civilization in south Asia, and its lush green lawns attract visitors from all over the country and abroad. It is not only the culminating point of the Aligarh Movement; it is, in fact, the beautiful combination of Aligarh and Deoband Schools of Thought. Being the Pashtun intelligentsia's breeding ground, this excellent learning seat is where diamonds are skimmed since 1913. Moreover, Islamia College Peshawar was destined to become the three universities' mother institution and several colleges on its campus. This credit goes to Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayyum, commonly called The Sir Sayyed of the Frontier, and his sincere colleagues, who founded Islamia College Peshawar in 1913. Islamia College Peshawar is the best example of endowments. According to the Board of Trustees, the College, which is spread over 300 acres of land, has 1089 Jaribs cultivable land in Harichand, Rai Killi, and Tarnab (District Charsadda). In addition to this, there are 395 shops and flats in the Khyber Bazaar Peshawar and main bazaar Charsadda.
