- A University education teaches a man how to live in society and prepares him for the battle of life. A University does not produce potential Engineers, competent doctors, great writers, generals, politicians, or artists. It does not merely train its members for the various professions, nor its content with producing experts. Its object is mental culture and freedom from prejudices of all kinds. It broadens the minds, enlarges the vision, encourages intellectual independence, and develops impartial judgments. It enables a man to cultivate the capacity for clear thinking and expressing his views effectively. Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology Khuzdar is situated in the province of Balochistan. The province of Balochistan has a vast and diverse area of about 0.347 million sq. Km and with a scattered population of about 15millions, spread over rugged and harsh topology. To bring it on par with the rest of the country, the Government has undertaken many development schemes, the success of which has not been fruitful primarily because the province did not have any Engineering Institution of its own. Before the establishment of BUET, Khuzdar, a limited number of students from the province were nominated for admission in different Engineering Institutions in other provinces of Pakistan, which was not adequate to meet the growing need for Engineers in the country. Besides, the socio-economic and educational constraints prevailing in the province discouraged a large number of students from getting an education in Engineering Institutions in other provinces. The Federal Government, taking into consideration these factors, announced the establishment of the then Balochistan Engineering College at Khuzdar in 1973-74. The project of the college was given administrative approval by ECNEC in 1977. After passing through different phases of construction, the college started its academic activities in 1987-88 in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. The institution was subsequently raised to the level of University just after seven years of its successful performance in 1994. At the moment, BUET Khuzdar offers courses in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Systems Engineering and Sciences at the graduate level. In contrast, the courses will be offered shortly in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the postgraduate level. BUET Khuzdar Also offers BCS and MCS courses in evening shifts. Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Khuzdar is the second oldest and the only Engineering University of the province providing quality education to a nation's youngster. The role of Universities in leading the nations to an incandescent position is undeniable. The universities are the only plate form of research, creativity, innovation, and professionalism. We believe that a university education does not merely confine to produce potential Engineers. Besides imparting Technical education, we cultivate the minds to be free from all kinds of prejudices. Our pedagogical culture at BUET broadens the minds, enlarges the vision, encourages intellectual independence, and develops impartial judgments. Although the expansion of BUETK has been stagnant academically, it has developed lustrously and is known as a beacon of merit and quality education. Last decade, BUET had achieved significant milestones and gained immense significance as an institution of higher education in Pakistan. The University produces professionals and researchers of very high caliber, capable of developing indigenous technologies to meet the growing demands of the 21st century. All these developments were possible with the help and support of the dedicated & high-caliber faculty, talented students & competent staff. BUET, Khuzdar is the only Engineering University of the province, providing a technical base and research platform to youngsters and contributing its due share in Pakistan's socio-economic uplift in general and Balochistan in particular. At BUET, we are committed to impart quality education by promoting healthy research culture and to equip the students with practical knowledge and innovative ideas.

- Anyone who has been involved with higher education cannot undermine the fact that there is a change underway in our higher education system. Multifariously, the transformation mirrors that of the economy as a whole. No longer can a university isolate itself from the outside world. Higher education is in the midst of a significant transformation that fundamentally redefines universities' relationship to the broader community. This transformation is occurring at every level of higher education, from undergraduate to research-intensive doctoral domains. It is becoming an increasingly global phenomenon as universities worldwide seek to redefine themselves in ways that will enable them to become significant actors in the modern, knowledge-based economy. Keeping itself congruent to these transformations, BUITEMS is becoming a fully integrated member of its community and environment in ways large and small, contributing to the physical environment through campus architecture and the cultural environment by fostering creativity and expression. The University and its community have become inextricably linked through economic and geographic ties. This evolving relationship presents both sides with opportunities and challenges. BUITEMS realizes that a spirit of cooperation can yield mutually beneficial results for all stakeholders the University may need to expand its campus. A city may be looking to revitalize an industrial zone, or a small business may be looking to expand its sales. It has been proven internationally through extensive case studies that the maintenance of positive relationships between universities and their publics adds value to a university itself and the communities they serve. Within BUITEMS currently, there is a growing interest in considering how best to assist the learning for professional occupations across the region. Consequently, today, BUITEMS graduates are increasingly expected to possess the capacities to make a smooth transition into effective professional practice. All of this is made possible through educational programs that are being developed at the University with occupationally specific forms of conceptual, procedural, and dispositional capacities that comprise the canonical knowledge of the occupation and efforts have been directed to inculcate a reflexively critical capacity that prepares BUITEMS students to monitor, evaluate, and improve practice across working life. Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences has given a new vision and a distinct meaning to education. Its guidelines for academic achievements are comparable to those of the most renowned institutions of the world. At BUITEMS, we are a community of professionals committed to grooming our students for their professional lives. The foundations of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering & Management Sciences are laid on the sound principles of excellence in academic standards, equity, equality, the sincerity of purpose, and the vision for the future. The University is fully functional as a premier seat of higher education and research. The University has three campuses, namely the City Campus, which houses the Faculty of Management Sciences the Takatu Campus, accommodating the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Informatics, the Faculty of Arts and Basic Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering and the Chiltan Campus which is being developed as research Forums and Laboratories of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Informatics. BUITEMS' quest for academic excellence is based on five fundamental pillars the students, the faculty, curriculum, the learning environment, and the civil society we serve. At BUITEMS our students are led to harness the richness of content and communication diversity in an environment conducive to learning. Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences is a notable addition to higher education institutions in Pakistan. Academic excellence would be un-imaginable without providing a physical environment and facilities conducive to the educational process at the campuses. One of the most impressive features of the University has been the continuous growth in the fields, i.e., growth in quality human resources, laboratory facilities, incentives for diligent students, recreation and sports facilities, growth in every field that contributes to the promotion and excellence of education at the top-level.
