The position provides specialist clinical care which may be in inpatient, outpatient and hospital liaison services as well as through the ADS Telehealth Service and the ADS telephony lines (Drug and Alcohol Specialist Advisory Service and the SafeScript NSW Clinical Advice Line). The staff specialist will provide clinical leadership and expertise across a range of substance use disorders including assessment, pharmacotherapy, withdrawal and relapse prevention and referral and liaison with key treatment providers (including GPs). The staff specialist will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide care using a range of technologies including telephone and videoconferencing.
