We are seeking an experienced web application framework engineer able to design and implement sophisticated features of the Adobe Commerce platform in collaboration with multiple teams and the open-source community. We’re extending the Adobe Commerce product offering through SaaS design principles, moving more and more of the storefront into the cloud, facilitating effortless upgrades on the merchant’s side, and enhance our ML capabilities to deliver quality insights to both the merchant and the shopper. We work in smaller product engineering teams. This allows us to be agile while working as part of a larger organisation. What you’ll Do Define, design, implement and deliver high-quality features for Adobe Commerce Platform and various related projects. Choose the best approaches of implementation by following software design patterns and coding standard methodologies. Ensure high quality by performing code reviews and providing static, integration and functional automated tests. Take ownership and help improve the availability, performance, scalability, and security of the product. You’ll also ensure a strong emphasis on software backwards compatibility and cost of ownership. Constantly keep the application tech stack up to date and contribute to open-source dependencies of our projects. The Business Intelligence Platform Administrator within Adobe's Information & Data Services (IDS) organization will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and upgrading our corporate business intelligence systems. This individual will be working very closely with Adobe business clients and IT team members to design robust and scalable Bl and data delivery platforms. What you'll do We run the software that runs the business! On the data platform team, we implement and maintain the systems that provide business-critical data to the people who need it. Enable platforms that maintain architectural integrity and high availabilityPerform zero downtime upgradesLearn business processes in departments like Sales, Finance, and HR to be able to better support their needsOnboard new systems and applicationsUpgrade existing applicationsInitiate and contribute to network and application security reviewsImprove each platform by conceiving and implementing better processesBuild sophisticated logical models while enabling them for users in an intuitive fashionAssist end users with upgrade testingTrain super users and power users on usage of the toolsCoordinate development work with offshore team members and othersPerform ongoing monitoring and refinement of tools and systemsWork with the business solutions delivery team to ensure that solutions are simple to useCollaborate and work with multi-functional IT teams What you need to succeed Our administrators have a lot of experience with different types of systems and technologies. We primarily work with business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau, but we also work with a variety of other applications and operating systems like Collibra, Alteryx, Metric Insights, and SQL Server. A proven track record as a system administrator for BI toolsPrior experience implementing Power BI solutionsStrong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systemsBA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Data Scientist experience preferred.An understanding of or prior experience with R, Python, Jupyter, or similar tools5 to 7 years working in IT with a detailed understanding of SDLC methodologySolid grasp of relational databases with demonstrated experience using SQLSolid grasp of data warehousing methodologies and dimensional modelingExperience with writing flex custom components such as charting a plusExperience participating in JAD/ RAD / AGILE / Waterfall scrum sessions a plusAbility to quickly translate requirements into workCapable with Microsoft Office applications including Word, MS Project, Excel, Visio, and other tools that facilitate the requirements gathering and design phases of the SDLCPassion for solving problems, innovation, and creativitySelf-motivated with strong leadership and presenceExcellent oral presentation and written communication skillsGood interpersonal and collaborative skills As our many awards will tell you, at Adobe you’ll be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized around the world.
