Pinehurst was opened in 1991 by a small group of committed parents and staff. The original roll was 34 students. Initially, the site and buildings were leased, however, courage and foresight demonstrated by the original Board ensured the purchase of 8 hectares in the Albany Basin, a site now worth millions of dollars. The school is in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore, a few minutes from the motorway. Our grounds are large, green and fringed with trees but our school is small enough to ensure that nobody gets lost. You will find a calm, settled atmosphere in the classroom and around the school. There are approximately 900 students in total, and we think that this is the…

Manukau Christian School was established in 1987 in Great South Road, Manurewa, with a small core group of students and was known as St Andrew's Christian School. Mr. Ross Thompson, the pastor of the St Andrew's Presbyterian Church at the time, was pivotal in setting up the school. Along with parents who sought to be faithful and obedient to the Lord and who wanted an education for their children that was consistent in all aspects with the Christian faith, our school was born. Our founding principal, Mr. Shane Kennedy was employed from 1992 until 2017. He was a parent member of the school's founding committee in 1987. The school has grown and flourished over the…

At the time of opening, there were seven classrooms and an initial enrolment of 60 boys. The land purchased for the School was a farm called "The Great Oaks" and true to its name, it was full of many oaks. The oak has become a symbol for the school over the years. St Paul’s takes its name from the greatest apostle of the Mediterranean, Saint Paul a man who laid the foundations of the church in Greece, Italy, and Turkey. From 1963 to 1969 several significant events occurred at the School under the stewardship of Headmaster Hornsby. Among these changes were the construction of the dining hall and the opening of the library and gymnasium and the dedication of the Chapel …

Ahuroa School enrolled its first pupils in 1888, on a site well removed from the present one. It was situated on what is now known as Hawkens Road, although at the time, that road did not exist. In 1930, the local settlers' desire to have the school situated on the main road now established along the valley floor resulted in a new school being built on the present site. The new site placed it in reasonable proximity to the small district center based on the railway station, post office, and general store (see Our Community), with the community hall adjacent to the new school. The 'historic' building, now used as the staff room, was a redundant school building moved down…
