      1. Wentworth College is a small and progressive GCSE and A-level college based in London, NW11. At Wentworth Tutorial College we pride ourselves on providing a personal experience and helping our students achieve. You may be experiencing problems at your previous school or college and want to find ways of resolving these issues or you may just want a fresh start. We help students achieve their full academic potential in an environment that helps them to develop as individuals. We are committed to academic excellence and do everything we can to ensure our students achieve exam success. At the same time, we educate young people about how to learn and seek to instill in them a lifelong appreciation for learning. We believe that each pupil is an individual with individual needs. Fostering a caring, positive and democratic environment for our students helps both identify these needs and provides the ideal ‘space’ for them to be met. We believe that mutual respect, rather than the traditional teacher-student relationship is the route to good education. We believe that being treated with respect heightens pupils’ self-esteem and confidence, which in turn contributes to academic and social success. We believe that critical thinking is essential for students to succeed in today’s challenging environment. Students at the college flourish as a result of being encouraged to engage in independent learning. Our pupils will of course be guided by us, but they are encouraged to regulate their behavior and establish their routes to achieving their potential. We believe that teachers’ expectations are a crucial factor in influencing a child’s educational attainment. At the same time, we believe that all pupils want, need, deserve, and enjoy success. We will strive to rebuild low self-esteem which may have been formed from previous educational experiences. The environment at Wentworth College is designed to support our mission of academic excellence and personal development. Small class sizes are central to this approach as they lend themselves to the intimacy that is required for pupils to develop the courage to succeed. This also allows teachers to develop bespoke strategies that are individually tailored to the needs of each pupil. As well as this, the intimate atmosphere at the college and the sympathetic ethos that underpins it means that the pastoral care students receive is second to none. Our exam results show that the informal environment of the college need not impede achieving the academic potential of each student. Indeed the opposite is true. Over the last twenty years, the college has helped an enormous number of students achieve their academic potential and often outperform expectations by wide margins. Most importantly we have done this in a way that has allowed those students to enjoy their educational experiences. View full school
      2. Boasting just 43 students and 10 teachers on its first day of operation, Wentworth College was officially opened on 27th August 2003 by the then Governor-General, Dame Sylvia Cartwright. In August 2013 we took great pleasure in celebrating our first 10 successful years. At Wentworth Primary, students will be actively encouraged to think of others. Emphasis will be placed on respect, compassion, consideration, honesty, and truthfulness as values that are important and relevant to the lives of young people today. Wentworth Primary students are encouraged to participate in every aspect of school life. Our school program helps to produce independent, resilient, and better-informed students. The curriculum includes English, Mathematics, Science, Music, Mandarin, Health, Physical Education, Social Sciences, and Computational Thinking. Wentworth Primary offers the internationally recognized Cambridge Primary curriculum in English, Mathematics, and Science. This curriculum helps build a solid foundation of learning and encourages the joy of learning in these three important educational areas. Offering Cambridge Primary also allows our students the seamless progression to Wentworth College. The students at Wentworth Primary have several opportunities to demonstrate their leadership skills. In addition to the positions of School and Class Captains, there are also leadership positions relating to sports teams as well as several other less obvious situations that require tolerance and initiative. School Captains are nominated from the Year 6 class and are selected via a schoolwide ballot system. School Captains liaise with the College Prefects and, wherever possible, attend leadership-related programs. They take responsibility for organizing fundraising events and can be called upon to greet visitors and parents and to help with the play activities during school recess. They also form part of the Junior Council alongside the Class Captains and are empowered to discuss school initiatives, values and activities. Class Captains represent the classes from Year 1 to Year 5. Class Captains are nominated by the members of the class and the teacher. They form part of the Junior Council, meet regularly with the School Captains, and are empowered to discuss school initiatives, values and activities. The After School Care program runs from Monday to Friday, 3.20 pm to 5.45 pm, and offers art, play, and homework time. Rates are $17 per day per student and include a nutritious snack. Please contact the school office if you have any questions or would like to register your child to attend this program, either for regular or casual use. English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Physical Education, Computer Science, Music, Art, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Technology are all subjects to be found on our Years 7 and 8 timetables. Specialist teachers trained in these subjects are used for each of these classes. We believe that this is important to ensure our students develop their knowledge and skills in preparation for their Cambridge examinations later in their school careers. Our teachers work with the students to help them master the increased pace and high standards that are expected of them at these levels. There is a very wide range of sports in which students can take part. Wentworth actively encourages all students to be involved in at least one sport every year. Most students compete in two or three sports out of the summer and winter sporting codes. Traditional sports are played with Netball, Hockey, and Basketball, in particular, being very popular and competitive. However, students at all levels in the College enjoy being part of our Sailing and Rowing teams, and there is even a shooting range at the school! Wentworth College also has a range of cultural co-curricular activities available for its students. These include the Chess Group, Debating, Dance Groups (such as ballet and pilates), a range of Musical Groups, and an annual Drama Production. Again, all students are encouraged to take part. It also serves to develop a base of knowledge for learners to draw on as they enter IGCSE in Year 10. Students are taught by highly qualified teachers who are specialists in their curriculum fields. They study English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Computer Science, Health and Physical Education, Music, Art, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Technology. Throughout our Junior School, the use of technology and information systems is encouraged, whilst ensuring that the key skills of literacy and numeracy are stressed at all times. Each subject is assessed by written examination in the middle, and at the end, of the year. View full school

And we work with Alumni to open up future Coops. In today's economy, success depends mostly on working collaboratively with others from different disciplines and organizations. Our Externally Collaborative, Project-based, Interdisciplinary Curricula will build that success for all students. We will do everything possible to make the process of paying for college as simple as possible in the hope that we will be able to welcome you to Wentworth as you seek to advance your career goals. Applying to college is exciting. We are excited, too! We are eager to get to know you better—your background, your achievements, and your goals for the future. All that happens when you apply, and we try to make the application process as straightforward and uncomplicated as possible. Wentworth offers Graduate Master's programs in a range of disciplines. Many of our programs are offered either on-campus or online. Through the College of Professional and Continuing Education, Wentworth Institute of Technology continues to expand its online program offerings each year. For over 100 years, Wentworth has built healthy citizens and industry leaders through a curriculum that blends intense, theory-based learning with a practical, problem-solving approach. That same approach is present in our online programming. Let us face it. Lifelong learning has to keep up with your lifestyle. As a busy working adult, we understand that coming to campus may no longer be the most convenient option for you. That is why we offer most programs in multiple formats, giving you the option to switch if your circumstances change. The online courses at Wentworth are as engaging and challenging as our face-to-face classes, both taught by dedicated faculty and practitioners. With our online courses, you can work towards advancing your career, doing so from the comfort of your own home. Find the online program that is right for you.
