  3. 3iL Ingénieurs, also known as the Institute of IT & Engineering of Limoges, was created in 1987 at the initiative of the CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) of Limoges and Haute-Vienne. To meet the growing demand of local companies for highly qualified employees in the IT sector, 3iL has developed high-quality courses. Our degrees are recognized by the French government institutions and the professionals of the whole IT industry. In addition to being accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and by the French Engineering Commission CTI (Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs), the engineering program of 3iL holds the EUR–ACE® accreditation label. For 30 years, 3iL has been training operational IT engineers with strong scientific, technical, and management potentials. Our graduates quickly access management positions. Our engineering school delivers an advanced postgraduate degree Master's grade), which also gives the academic title of Ingénieur Diplômé (Qualified graduate engineer). In addition to being accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and by the French Engineering Commission CTI, the engineering program of 3iL holds the EUR–ACE® accreditation label. Our engineering school is a member of the CDEFI (the association of the Directors of French engineering schools), the Erasmus+ Program, and the Campus France network. We also have the certification ISO 9001 issued by AFNOR Certification (AFAQ: French Quality Assurance). These labels are not only a guarantee of quality, but they are also driving us to improve our competitiveness. As the world becomes more global, employers are looking for international profiles. An experience abroad is, therefore, more than necessary. That is why at 3iL, to get their engineering degree, students have to study at least one semester abroad or do a 3-month internship in a foreign country. Only overseas students who studied abroad the year before joining 3iL are exempt from participation in mobility periods. To help students prepare for their mobility period, 3iL offers them an "intercultural experience" throughout their curriculum. It takes the form of research projects, multicultural exchanges with our international students (30% of our students are international students), and scientific courses taught in English. It takes the form of research projects, multicultural exchanges with our international students (30% of our students are international students), and scientific courses taught in English. The Students Common Room is available to students to rest, play pool or table football, and have lunch together. The Students Office, also called BDE (Bureau des étudiants), uses this room to sell snacks and drinks during the lunch break. To get you in the mood and to make you discover the surrounding areas, the BDE (Bureau des Élèves) will invite you to the WEI (orientation weekend), gathering during two days three classes in Limoges' vicinity, with a program of sports events, parties, and other activities. This will give you a first overview of regional festivities. Furthermore, many cultural events are organized at 3iL by the different students' associations, such as 3iLAN (video games events), 3iLive (music concerts), etc. Once they have completed the second year of their engineering studies, 3iL students have the opportunity to do their final year of specialization abroad in one of our partner universities. By doing so, students extend their studies by a year, get the Master of the partner institution, and the engineering degree of 3iL. It gives them a wider choice of programs such as Computer engineering, embedded systems, data warehouse, Video games, information security and cryptology, graphics computer and design, mathematics and statistics, project management. Our engineering program lasts three years, a period during which students have seminars, tutorials, IT, and cultural projects. Students begin their path with a general knowledge harmonization between technical and scientific profiles. Then they integrate a common core of acquisitions before choosing units of specialization during the following semesters. The CTI Engineering program requires students to do international mobility and pass the TOEIC exam with a minimum of 785 points. 3iL aims to train engineers to be immediately operational, to be able to adapt themselves to new situations, to follow up the continuous change of the world of Computer Science, and handle its complexity. 3iL is a school on a human scale, offering a lively and friendly environment for studies. 3iL is teaching methods are based on project management with a wide range of objectives to reach. This teaching policy makes students aware of their responsibilities and gets them involved in their training. At 3iL, we prepare our students to open up to the world by allowing them to do internships abroad and create a multicultural atmosphere on our campus.
  4. The École Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique pour l'Industrie et l'Entreprise is one of the oldest institutions offering a degree in computer engineering. Since its creation in 1968, almost 3,000 engineers have graduated from this institution.1 With its threefold curriculum on IT, mathematics, and business organization, the ENTIRE program is valued and recognized within the business world. Our graduates are working in all economic activity sectors, where IT and communication are a significant driver of development and business innovation. ENSIIE provides diversified and high-quality training that students can follow on our campuses or exchange with our academic partners in France and worldwide. This is complemented by a strong emphasis on workplace experience, over 11 months of internships, and a constant focus on research and innovation. Admission is based on competitive entrance exams or qualifications. Students can choose to follow courses in Évry, just south of Paris or, since September 2009, in Strasbourg in the east of France. The institution offers engineering qualifications for students, for workers via block-release training and continued, and a choice of complementary qualifications. In 2011, ENSIIE became an Institut TelecomL'Institut Mines-Telecompartner institution, which enabled us to offer a more comprehensive selection of programs to our students. Useful and necessary for engineering training, extracurricular activities are strongly encouraged at ENSIIE via around 40 cultural and sporting student societies. Extracurricular activities promote camaraderie and cooperation between students, which contribute to the development of social competencies and interpersonal skills. ENSIIE graduates can choose a job from a wide range of business areas. Optional modules are introduced from the third semester to allow students to prepare their career plans. Develop a career in the business world where valuing and maximizing the benefits of communication technology is essential. Succeed, thanks to expertise acquired in fields such as IT systems, software engineering, on-board systems, networks, virtual reality, computational finance, project management, and change management. Develop a career in research and development in a research laboratory: business intelligence, optimization, finance and modeling, and software engineering. Create your own business. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the favorite domain for those who have an entrepreneurial outlook. ENSIIE promotes the emergence of these vocations by offering a program for engineer-entrepreneurs and the creation of ground-breaking projects. Current changes in our societies are being instigated by powerful innovations led by the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). These innovations are permanent, becoming more sustainable, widespread, and universal, relating to all fields of activity: economic, industrial, social, and cultural. ENSIIE engineers are present in various sectors such as industry, consulting, banking and insurance, customer service, governmental engineering consulting, design engineering, operations engineering, project management, expert or manager. THE ENSIIE welcomes every year more than 150 new students for its engineer's training. This training, dispensed at the same time on our site of Évry and on that of Strasbourg, is accessible for the students stemming from a preparatory class for entrance to Grandes Ecoles or from a university sector. As from the session 2016, the ENSIIE recruits through the competition MINES-TELECOM. The MP, PC, PSI, and TSI avid students to integrate the ENSIIE necessarily have to take this competition. The students registered in the second year of Bachelor's degree or coming of this second year can integrate the ENSIIE using the Competition SECOND-YEAR UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA - L2. The student's holder of a university degree can integrate the ENSIIE using an admission on the title. According to the obtained diploma and the quality of the file), the admission is made either in the first year or directly in the second year of the training. The useful and necessary complement to engineers training, student associative life is highly developed at ENSIIE through forty students cultural, recreational, and sports unions. Le Bureau des Elèves (Bde) is responsible for student life supervision within the school and within the associations. ENSIIE degree was recognized by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs (CTI) in 1972, and the apprenticeship program was recognized in 1994. Since 1974, admission has been principally based on the Concours Centrale-SupElec. The intake was initially 25 per year, which progressively increased to over 60 in 1984 and 75 in 1985. The decision to increase the number of places to 135 was taken in 1988. Since 1973, IIE alumni have joined the Association des Ingénieurs A3IE, whose role is to promote the degree, facilitate contacts between its members and contribute to creating an active, dynamic information network between ENSIIE and the business world. The number of engineers awarded a diploma until 2011 is 2800. I was initially based at CNAM in Paris, rue Saint Martin. Since 1984, the school has moved in the center of Évry, between the City hall and the Prefecture, close to the train station of Évry-Courcouronnes (RER D). Since September 2009, ENSIIE has created a campus at Strasbourg. The partnership with Strasbourg University allows the pooling of resources and teaching and research compatibility. While waiting to construct a new building, the school is based at the International Space University (ISU) on the Illkirch campus.

View full university
  7. In 1980, Ambassador Amable R. Aguiluz V, also known as the Father of Computer Education in the Philippines, saw the demand for fully trained computer professionals; however, during that time, no institution in the Philippines offered professional computer education. Knowing the impact of technology in the industry and how it will drive progress, Ambassador Aguiluz responded to the demand and decided to put up a school that will offer computer education; hence, AMA Institute of Computer Studies was founded and eventually led to the establishment of AMA Computer College, which was the first to offer courses in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. A few years after AMA College was founded, Ambassador Aguiluz decided to start a new endeavor by setting up new schools that will specialize in specific fields such as business, technical I.T. skills, healthcare, and hospitality. It was eventually realized when he established AMA Computer Learning Center, ACLC College, ABE International Business College, and St. Augustine School of Nursing. To efficiently manage AMA College and its sister schools, AMA Educational Systems Holdings, Inc. was established, which is now the company that manages the education business of AMA Group of Companies. Unlike any other senior high schools, AMA Senior High implements a BLENDED LEARNING SYSTEM. This instruction method combines face to face classes and online education, allowing students to take lessons online at their own pace, allowing them to understand each lesson better and have more time for other activities, be it for personal purposes or school-related. With this innovative and highly advanced learning method, students can enjoy and experience learning using technology and be ahead in terms of knowledge in I.T. and complex computer operations, thus giving them a definite edge in any industry or field that requires the said skills or competencies. Today AMA Senior High students who enrolled in one of the AMAES schools experience “BLENDED LEARNING SYSTEM” – an instruction method used in many parts of the world that combines face to face (via a teacher in the classroom) classes and online learning. Detailing this method, students spend about 50% with a teacher in a school and 50% online. For three days a week, they study in the classroom, and the other two days are spent online studying at their chosen place, time, and pace, thus allowing them to better understand a subject matter before moving on to the next lesson. Another advantage is having more time for other activities, be it school related or for personal purposes. This innovative and highly advanced learning method gives students a definite edge not just in I.T. but also in any industry or field requiring early computer skills or similar competencies. The blended learning approach aims to modernize Senior High in the country and prepare students for careers requiring knowledge in technology and online training or classes they might take in the future that is essential for career advancement. Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz V, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of AMAES, is recognized as the Father of I.T. education in the Philippines because he paved the way for computer education. From the time he opened the first computer school in 1980, he knew that technology is the future wave and one of the best ways to solve education problems in the Philippines partly. Thus, he stuck to one simple, focused, forward-looking formula for all the different AMAES schools: whatever courses or programs are being offered, they must be I.T.- or technology-driven with international partnerships all AMAES graduates are globally competitive. In the mid-1990s, when technology in education is just starting to be prevalent, AMAES introduced in-campus e-Learning utilizing the Novell computer network operating system. By 1998, AMAES retook the lead by partnering with CISCO, the largest networking company globally, to deliver Internet-based skills training on computer networking. Two years later, AMAES further enhanced its e-Learning capability by forming two invaluable alliances, tapping two of the leading global providers of e-learning content: Smartforce and Intralearn, which allowed the creation of e-classes and enhanced learning via the Internet. In 2004, AMAES made a bold move by pioneering Blended Learning through satellite technologies in partnership with Mabuhay Satellite. Under this model, highly qualified experts in their respective fields conducted simultaneous classes from a central location to over 150 AMAES schools nationwide. This leveled the playing field by allowing AMAES students from far-flung areas like Cotabato and Laoag to access the same experts and learning materials as their Metro Manila classmates. In 2015, right after the passing of the Philippine Education Law, AMAES pioneered full online degree education programs catering to students, not just in the Philippines, but anywhere globally. No-classroom classroom… education anytime, anywhere without the need for physical classrooms, just the magic of satellite, the Internet, and handheld devices.
