  1. Greenleaf School provides inspirational, inclusive, and excellent learning in a vibrant, fun environment to create self-confident and respectful pupils, proud of themselves, their school, and their wider community. Our ethos is: Aim High, Work Hard, Be Kind. Greenleaf is a very special place for children and staff and we are proud of our ‘outstanding’ reputation. This is due to the dedication of a highly committed team of staff working in close partnership with our children and families. Please take time to visit our website and find out about the amazing community spirit and high expectations and aspirations we all share. At GreenleafPrimary School every child matters and as such we have high expectations of all members of our school community. We will provide a calm, safe, stimulating, and challenging environment where children and adults develop an enjoyment of learning. We work together to:- Attain the highest possible level of achievement Promote and maintain a healthy physical and emotional lifestyle Learn to understand, respect, and value our own and others' way of life Develop the confidence, self-esteem, interest, and enjoyment in learning which will enable us to think critically, creatively, and independently and prepare us fully for the next stage in our education Develop our personalized, independent learning through promoting the 5Rs – Responsibility, Reflection, Resourcefulness, Readiness, and Resilience. Ensure everyone has equal access to a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects their individual needs and equips them for the future Develop a positive role for the school within the wider community and take an active part in our diverse world Evaluate our progress, identifying any barriers or inequalities and their underlying causes, taking preventative and remedial action where appropriate At the heart of these aims is a complete commitment by Greenleaf to a policy of equal opportunities for all, regardless of class, disability, ethnic origin, gender, sexuality, family make-up, belief (religious or non-religious), or any other individual special need. We value the many different cultures of our families and feel that the diverse cultural inheritance of our children is an enormous asset to the school. We treat, very seriously, any incident of a discriminatory nature and have a formal procedure for dealing with such incidents.
  2. Welcome to Greenford high school, an outstanding, high achieving, truly non-selective comprehensive. Greenford High School was graded as Outstanding in our last Ofsted inspection, and other recent objective external measures confirm this judgment. Our value-added score at Key Stage 4 is one of the highest both locally and nationally. Simply put, the progress that our students make has consistently put us in the top 5% in the country over the last decade. The DfE performance measures show our Progress 8 score as 0.68, placing us in the top 200 schools in the country on this measure. We are delighted that the outstanding work by our students, staff, governors, and parents is being recognized, but we remain ambitious to continue to improve. Our philosophy will remain the same: we are a reflective, self-critical institution that focuses on developing learning and teaching. We live by our mission statement and by our motto – we are simply Learning to Succeed. Our curriculum is innovative and flexible, meeting the needs of the individual student. Our students begin with a two-year Key Stage 3, focussing on Maths, English, and reading. Our KS4 starts in Year 9, where they have an impressive range of choices, addressing the needs and interests of the individual, and this continues at Post-16. We teach everything from Psychology to Japanese, Photography to German, Economics to Physics, Media to Business, Computing to Sociology. We believe in students achieving excellent academic results and going on to university or apprenticeships. Indeed, approximately 230 of our Year 13 students went on to higher education at the end of 2017 – many to the best universities, including Cambridge, Princeton, LSE, UCL, Kings, Warwick, and Nottingham. Our school site and buildings are based on the model of a modern university campus with different faculties of learning, such as the Maths and Science block, partly to encourage students to continue their studies at a higher level. But we are also an inclusive, multi-cultural, mixed gender, multi-faith, truly comprehensive school which accepts every type of student and tries to get the very best out of them, whatever their ability or personal circumstances. This philosophy is at the core of what Greenford High is all about. For prospective parents, we should make it clear that we have only two selection criteria. Firstly, we take brothers and sisters of students as we believe very much in the strength of the family. Our second criteria are proximity and the vast majority of our students live less than a mile from the school. Each year group has 240 students and we are heavily oversubscribed (with the highest amount of applications in Ealing for the last three years), while our Post-16 center has up to 600 students, some joining us from other schools in Year 12. However, what makes Greenford High School special is not the buildings or facilities but our desire to keep on improving. The positive relationship between students, staff, and parents is what we are most proud of. After much deliberation, our motto was decided upon: "Learning to Succeed." For us, learning was the keyword. We felt that the motto was a powerful one and allowed multiple interpretations: we are learning how to succeed learning leads to success that this is the most important single function of the school. Learning to succeed is what Greenford High School is about: a love of learning the motivation to succeed. Our aim is for students to fulfill their limitless potential – through perseverance and effort. Excellence, in the words of Aristotle, is not an act but a habit. We don’t select our students, but we do select our staff. Each highly trained teacher is here to support, guide, inspire our students so that whatever their starting point when they arrive, they leave with the world at their feet – equipped and ready to continue their learning through apprenticeships, at university, and throughout their careers. We aim to provide the best opportunities – academic, cultural, and sporting - and a sense of moral and social responsibility so that each child realizes that humanity is their business and the common good their aim. Our Mission Statement is designed to create and express our sense of moral purpose, touching on all the things which are important for us. It is a genuine, sincere statement of belief. At Greenford High School, we believe that the curriculum should enable all young people to become: Successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress, and achieve Confident individuals who can live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives Responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society. The Curriculum provision at Greenford High School is broad, balanced, and fully inclusive. There is an emphasis on promoting strength and success in traditional academic subjects, but this is balanced with a desire to foster variety and personalization in our provision. The Curriculum is constantly reviewed and developed to not only meet the needs and strengths of our students but to provide rich opportunities for them to develop a range of skills and enjoy memorable experiences. 4. Greenfields is a local and international Day and Boarding School. It is a non-selective and non-denominational mixed school, welcoming students between the ages of 2 and 18, of all faiths, cultures, and nationalities. It is located in Forest Row, near East Grinstead, Sussex. It was founded in 1981 in response to parent demand for a school using the educational discoveries (known as Study Technology) of Mr. L. Ron Hubbard. The purposes of the school are: To arm students with essential knowledge and skills for living, and in particular, the ability and confidence to study, understand and apply any subject whatsoever, using Study Technology (the technology of study as discovered and delineated by philosopher and educator L. Ron Hubbard) so that they can successfully follow whatever path they choose in life and To instill in all students the ability to communicate freely and confidently, competence, confidence in themselves, industriousness, responsibility, tolerance, and a moral and ethical compass. Other aims of the school are to: Ensure that all students are happy throughout their time at the school and graduate feeling enthusiastic about life, having developed new friendships, and gained a sense of achievement in an ethical, highly productive, and motivating environment. Deliver at primary education level a formal, broad education focusing on literacy and numeracy as well as introducing children to the Study Technology In the Senior School move over into tailor-made academic and pastoral programs of study for each student so that individuals are enhanced and encouraged to blossom, more able to achieve ambitions in careers of their choice, and to follow their interests Promote individual personal development through our Boarding provision which strives to contribute effectively to the school’s aim to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to live their lives to the full Provide educational opportunities through our EYFS area for each child to flourish as a unique individual, and become confident and able in skills that underpin their whole education. Using the EYFS learning program in alignment with features of the Montessori philosophy and covering the seven areas of learning, regular observation and assessments are used to plan effectively for individual needs, including those children who may need extra support. With this in mind, Greenfields delivers separately to 2s, 3s, and ‘rising 4s’ (i.e. those children whose birth dates fall slightly outside the Reception class starting age in September) using separate classrooms accordingly Provide an independent school education with low fees whilst maintaining a high staff to student ratio Furnish a full educational solution from age 2 through to age 18, Nursery to A Levels, so that parents have a complete pathway for their child, as has been voiced as needed by our parents Deliver education to children whose prior school experience or progress may not have been adequate and permit such students to flourish and achieve results to the level of their potential Mirror the maintained school calendar in terms of delivery where possible, providing parents with a service for more weeks than a normal independent school Add educational value at every stage of students’ development Enable all young people who come to Greenfields School to achieve their full potential in all areas, whether or not they have special educational needs in one or more areas, whether or not they are able, gifted, or talented in one or more areas, and whether or not they perform within an expected range. We teach children how to be students. You would think that would be an obvious step, wouldn’t you? You wouldn’t let someone out on the road at the wheel of a car by themselves unless they had taken driving lessons and passed a driving test. And yet a person is placed in a classroom at a very early age and by some miracle, they are expected to “become a student” without being taught what study is and how it is done properly to avoid running into difficulties which, of course, many people do! 6. At Greenfields we offer a unique experience for children in a Muslim-friendly setting ensuring they are safe, happy, and enjoying a mix of religious and secular learning opportunities. We offer a fabulous standard of education that brings together a core knowledge-based curriculum, coupled with the skills that are required in English and Maths to ensure our children have the bedrock of key knowledge that will allow them to blossom as successful learners. We have high expectations of the children in their conduct and learning behaviors and we are very proud of how well they reach those high standards. The staff is dedicated professionals who are fully committed to the life in school and the children. We hope you enjoy browsing through our website and finding out a little bit more about life at our school. Greenfields Primary is currently on a journey of expansion and development and we hope you too can join us on this journey. At Greenfields we use a knowledge-based curriculum and consider ourselves a ‘core knowledge school this means that, first and foremost, we focus on imparting knowledge to our pupils. We teach a comprehensive range of subjects: English (including Phonics) Mathematics Literature Spelling Handwriting Science Humanities (History, Geography, and Art) PE RE & PSHE, and Computing. As a Muslim faith school, we balance and enhance our curriculum by teaching the Qur’an, Arabic, and Islamic Studies alongside the aforementioned subjects. We take knowledge seriously and we teach it for the sake of knowledge, not just to tick boxes or attain certain percentages. Our knowledge-based curriculum is communal this means all children within a year group are expected to know the same things by the end of each academic year, thus they ‘share’ this knowledge with each other. Each year adds layer upon layer of knowledge, which is taught in a focused and enriching manner, ensuring pupils commit to memory the most important details and deepen their understanding of the topics taught. We constantly test our children and push them further in their learning it is this rigorous approach to teaching that ensures our pupils develop their minds and build in confidence, and it is precisely this that prepares them for life at secondary school and beyond. It is our shared belief that the important everyday skills required in the 21st Century, such as creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking, cannot be taught separately and in an isolated manner. Rather, these important skills are part of knowledge itself and can only be accessed once one has grasped a good amount of crucial information and absorbed it. It is only once you know something, and know it well, that you can use it and the use of it is the skill. Instilling virtue in our pupils is an integral part of every single day at Greenfields. We spark within them a determination to achieve high moral standards something that is a non-negotiable to be a good and committed citizen of any modern society. On Monday mornings we hold the school assembly and its follow-up session ‘Core Virtues and Values’, in which we discuss various praiseworthy and admirable attributes such as honesty and truthfulness courage and bravery humility, and public service among many more. We likewise discuss characteristics that should be shunned, such as: lying cheating stealing violence extremism, etc. Our Prophet Muhammad (upon him be peace) emphasized good character and made it as clear as day when he said, “The best of you is the best in manners” and “The one who does not respect the elders nor is merciful with the youth is not from us.” All our members of staff, from teachers and teaching assistants to management and directors, exemplify the high level of expectation we have every day in our professional conduct – we know we are role models for the children and we take this seriously. One principle we abide by at Greenfields is: if we raise our expectations of the children, the children will rise to our expectations. We have seen this happen ourselves – our children are quite simply amazing and we let them know! Often adults do not trust children enough nor believe in them obversely we believe in our children, we trust them, respect them, and know that they can achieve greatness. At Greenfields we want our children to be culturally literate and an active part of their community. We want our children to add value to anything they become part of, and to grow into responsible adults who contribute to society in the most beneficial manner. View full school

  10. Welcome to Greenbank Primary School. Greenbank Primary School is a fantastic school. Everyone at Greenbank will expect only the best from our children and we will strive to ensure that only the best is good enough. We aim to provide a learning environment where all children can achieve their highest potential and to foster a climate where all children, regardless of class, race, gender or disability feel secure and can grow in confidence and self-esteem". We aim to deliver the curriculum in a confident, positive, and structured manner that caters to the individual child. All curriculum areas should be made fun and exciting. Encourage children to be self-reliant, self-disciplined. Foster a happy atmosphere in which all children are encouraged to develop responsibility for appropriately managing their behavior to the various situations encountered. Help children achieve their potential in terms of academic achievement, aesthetic appreciation, and spiritual awareness. Provide support for children's basic needs. Encourage children to trust and respect adults and peers involved in their daily routine regardless of gender, race, and creed and be aware of the school's anti-prejudice statement as an individual within the school and society - "we do not tolerate discrimination on grounds of sex, color, ethnic or national origin, language, social class, physical or mental difference". Encourage children to be tolerant and understanding with respect for the rights, views, and property of others. Foster an awareness that each member of staff is a valuable cog in the wheel of education decision making should be a team effort and personal prejudice should not be allowed to override positive decision making. Help children develop a responsible and independent attitude towards work and their roles in society. Involve the school in the community and work as partners with parents and their following school, also to foster the idea that education does not take place solely within the school. Compile and utilize resources in a manner designed to give the best possible all-around education to our children. Fulfill national and local education guidelines. At Greenbank Primary School our early year's foundation stage consists of two nursery classes (morning and afternoon sessions) and two reception classes. All children follow the early years' curriculum. The Early Years curriculum is organized into seven areas: Communication and Language Physical Development Personal, Social, and Emotional Development Literacy Mathematics Understanding the World Expressive Arts and Design Our Early Years teaching is based on the fundamental principle that children learn best through play and ‘ hands-on experiences. We recognize that every child is unique and learning happens when they are engaged and motivated in their play and happy and secure in their learning environment. Here at Greenbank Primary, we are very proud of our caring setting and of our rich and enabling environment where children begin their lifelong love of learning. The areas of learning are developed throughout the year within a variety of study units. Staff will plan some topics to ensure coverage of the curriculum but will follow the children's lead, to ensure that teaching reflects their interests. We have a large outdoor area which is shared between the classes. Children have access to this area daily, in all weather conditions. At Greenbank Primary School, we believe that reading for pleasure is key to success. We encourage all children to develop a love of reading a wide variety of materials. This love of reading is shared by all our staff, and reading opportunities are promoted through all curriculum subjects. In Key Stage 2, a Reciprocal Reading approach is used when teaching reading. Reciprocal Reading is an effective and proven approach to developing reading and comprehension. In whole-class lessons, this approach allows children to develop the language required for talking about and investigating a wide range of texts and the skills needed to overcome difficulties. Whole class reading lessons take place several times per week to enable children to develop confidence in using the strategies. An integral part of the imitation stage of the Talk for the Writing process, ‘reading as a reader’ or ‘book talk’ encourages everyone, children and adults, to talk about what they have read, developing learners’ confidence to offer ideas and then reshape them in the light of other contributions. It helps children to talk effectively about a book or a text and think as a group to deepen their understanding and move comprehension forward. By accepting all answers positively when questioning children about what they have read, reluctant readers feel more confident in sharing their thoughts about a text. View full school

Any remaining places are allocated according to the proximity of the child’s home address to the school. Full details of admission procedures are provided in the Primary School Admission booklet. This is sent to parents/carers in the Autumn before their child is due to start in Reception the following September. Places are given without prejudice. The school has an Accessibility Plan to ensure that pupils with disabilities or special educational needs are not treated less favorably than others. Application forms are available from the school office directly. If you require support in completing the application form or have questions about the process, please call the school. We can offer support in a range of languages as well as access to computers and the internet to complete the form online. Our curriculum is created based on capturing children’s interest and imagination through all subjects. It draws on relevant learning experiences and involves a significant level of first-hand experiences for all children. The learning will challenge all children across the breadth of academic areas. There is a strong emphasis on the basic skills of reading, writing, and mathematics. Both the basic skills curriculum and the wider learning opportunities and experiences are individually designed by our staff for our school and our children. This ensures that the children are highly motivated and inspired by a tailor-made curriculum that fully meets their learning needs. A focus on first-hand experiences ensures that children can move from the concrete to the abstract in their learning, applying skills and learning to different challenges. The children will develop excellent communication skills which will enhance their learning in Literacy and also lead to them becoming confident and articulate 11-year-olds, able to speak confidently in a range of formal situations. Green End Primary is an inclusive school and welcomes all children. We aim to respond effectively to their individual needs and children with special educational needs are given full access to our curriculum. This is achieved by differentiating activities, providing additional support, and using specialist equipment where necessary. We ask parents/carers to give us as much information as possible if their child has special educational needs so that we can explore with them and other key professionals how we can make the most effective provision in school. Special educational needs include children who have particular gifts and talents and perhaps need extra opportunities to provide them with a high level of challenge. We offer support to all pupils according to their needs. At times, pupils may need a program of additional support to ensure that they develop in all areas of their learning, including social, emotional, and physical development. Our Inclusion Manager is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and oversees the learning support offered across the school. Teaching Assistants to work with all pupils in class, including supporting programs for the development of gross and fine motor skills, phonic support, listening and social skills as well as supporting English and maths skills. The SENCo works closely with families in times of need, as well as a range of outside agencies such as the Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, School Nurse, and Outreach workers. We are very proud of our newly built, eco-friendly school which opened in 2006. Our dynamic lighting changes to optimize learning opportunities for the children. Rainwater is harvested to ensure that natural resources are used economically and the airy design of our school, with its spacious atrium, helps promote a calm and purposeful learning environment in which children excel in their learning. Our school grounds provide stimulus, shade, and opportunities for children to use their imagination in play. There is space for every class to have its allotment to grow fruit and vegetables and our sensory garden takes the learning outdoors. We are committed to providing the most up-to-date ICT equipment. Throughout the school, pupils access electronic equipment with confidence, learning skills to equip them for working in the twenty-first century.

  24. Our ambition is to provide the best possible primary education in stimulating and creative environments. We want to develop a passion for learning, inspired by high-quality teaching, developing and building upon individual strengths and talents. We expect all children in our schools to reach age-related levels, in line with national expectations, as a minimum, and we aim to ensure that the barriers to learning are removed so that every pupil in all of our schools reaches their full potential. Our leadership structure aims to make the most of our shared resources, maintain high expectations, and secure high standards. The strategic overview of the partnership is led by myself, and each school is led by a highly effective Senior Leadership Team, who have the skills and experience required to motivate, inspire and drive our schools forward. We value the opportunity to introduce you to Grazebrook. We are confident that you will find a school where standards of behavior and respect are given a high priority, and where every child is motivated to learn and to have high self-esteem. Many of our children join Grazebrook in the Nursery, aged three. A place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the main school but children meeting the Local Authority’s entry requirements will move on to Reception where they will be joined by children new to the school. You are very welcome to visit us before enrolling your child. Please contact Lisa Langley via the school office to arrange an appointment when a member of the senior leadership team will be available to show you around. Pupils who are 3 years old can make an application to the Nursery in our school. Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools to boost the attainment of pupils from low-income families. It is intended to enable schools to provide targeted support to help children reach their full potential. Schools must spend the funding to improve the quality of the PE and sports activities they offer their pupils, but they are free to choose the best way of using the money. To find out more about how we spend our allocation and how it has made a difference to the PE and sport participation and attainment of pupils. Our approach to the curriculum is to provide the highest quality provision, utilizing the skills of all our staff, to inspire all our pupils to achieve their full potential. This is achieved through the choice of resources, including the use of iPads, equipment in mathematics, and a wide range of texts in English. Our positive and stimulating learning environments develop curious, confident learners and as a result, provide excellent opportunities for all pupils to achieve high standards. There are strong links between the core and non-core subjects because of our close assessment of the skills that each academic discipline requires. New Wave Federation is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our children, staff, and visitors, whilst promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their safety or the well-being of others. We aim to safeguard and promote the welfare of children by protecting them from maltreatment preventing impairment of children’s health or development ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes. Our Policy sets out how the Federation’s Governing Body discharges its statutory responsibilities relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children who are pupils at our schools. Our Foundation Stage provides a secure, happy and caring environment in which children learn through purposeful and carefully planned play. The early years of a child’s life are an important stage where the foundations for future development are established. In the Foundation Stage, we foster the child’s interests, needs, and stages of development and offer activities that extend, enrich and develop potential both inside and outside the classroom. Purposefully planned, playful activities and first-hand experiences are the keys to learning, laying the foundations for the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. There will be a mixture and an appropriate balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities, depending on the children’s age and stage of development. The Framework is based on four guiding principles which help to shape the Early Years Foundation Stage Policy. All children throughout the school are monitored regularly to ensure they continue to access the curriculum successfully and to help early identification of need. A range of evidence is collected through assessment and monitoring arrangements, as well as regular formal discussions between the Special Educational, Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and the class teachers. If these suggest that any pupil is not making the expected progress, or their needs have changed, the class teacher will invite the parents/carers to school to discuss these additional needs with the SENCO. Following this, the class teacher and parents/carers, work with the SENCO to decide if, or how, additional provision is implemented. The Federation uses guidelines provided by The Hackney Learning Trust to determine if a child’s attainment and/or progress indicate that they should be placed on the SEND register.
