Ysgol Brynffordd is a Community Primary School, which opened in 1964. The school caters to boys and girls aged between 4 and 11 years. A nursery is also established at the school, which receives children who are 3 years of age and these sessions are held every afternoon. Ysgol Brynffordd also takes in Early Entitlement children. Ysgol Bro Tegid Primary School is located near Lake Bro Tegid, Bala. The school has stood for over 100 years and has changed quite a lot over the years. The school began in 1905 under the name Bala Primary School, but it’s known to the residents of Bala as the 'Red School' as red is the color of brick.
