Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris or Sultan Idris University of Education (UPSI) is a Public Institution of Higher Education (IPTA), which plays an integral part in our nation's education history. This institution grows in stages from a college to a renowned university. The growth of UPSI was developed through three critical periods, whereby it started with the SITC period. In May 1997, the institution was announced and named Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris based on the Government gazette RU. (A) 132 & 133 dated 24th February 1997 under the Order of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Corporation) and the Order of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Campus) 1997. UPSI is located in Tanjung Malim, Perak Darul Ridzuan. UPSI has two campuses, namely Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Campus (KSAJS) and Shah Sultan Azlan Campus (KSAH), that Vitara in education leadership based on historical splendor and leads to global changes. Firstly, a university's function is not only to manage training programs, but most importantly is to undertake an educational process towards the development and enforcement of civilization, either explicitly or implicitly. Secondly, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is an extension to a continuum of teacher education that is almost as old as nine decades with its excellence and exceptional. UPSI recognizes the importance of PIETY, WISDOM, CULTURE, CIVILISATION, HUMANITY, SOCIETY, and NATIONALISM to pursue its goals. To ensure EXCELLENCE, the University expects strict adherence to honesty and integrity in all aspects of its activities. UPSI's vision and mission are To be a prestigious university providing exceptional leadership in education, based on the advantage of broad experience and a high level of competency in meeting global changes. And To generate and foster knowledge through teaching, research, publication, consultancy, and community services to achieve the nation's vision. The University's unshakable determination and dedication is in line with its vision and mission. The University is committed to: Emphasis on the purity of intelligence and integrity in all activities as an effort to effectively generate, expand, and refine knowledge. Strive in providing continuous contributions in elevating and enriching knowledge mainly through the extensive use of the Malay language in various fields. Disseminate and share knowledge through scholastic endeavors that include information networks, education, publication, and collaboration with local and foreign partners. Develop individuals who are knowledgeable, charismatic, talented, honorable, and patriotic. Be the initiator of its community in increasing their awareness about the importance of rendering services to the society and country. It also shoulders the responsibility of cultivating patriotism and nationalism among the community, which is pertinent in developing our country and promoting world peace.

  3. The All-through 3-16 school will be located across six sites, one of the first of its kind in North Wales. Ysgol Bro Idris will offer high-quality education for all pupils from the youngest pupil in Nursery Class to the eldest in Year 11. Throughout your child’s educational journey from home to Nursery, from Nursery all educational periods up to Year 11, we will offer the experiences and stimulating activities, the best care, and support possible to ensure that our pupils reach their full potential. As Ysgol Bro Idris opens its doors at the beginning of September 2017, we welcome every pupil aged 3-16 to a happy and safe environment. In a homely atmosphere, our pupils will follow a broad, balanced, and interesting curriculum that is relevant to their academic, occupational, and social development. Our expectations are high, and pupils will respond positively to this in terms of educational performance, behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. It is the responsibility of all staff members to ensure that all pupils are developed fully to become ambitious, capable learners who are prepared to embark on lifelong learning enterprising, creative contributors who are prepared to play a full part in life and work, ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world, healthy, confident individuals who are prepared to live life by fulfilling their desires as valuable members of society. We look forward to welcoming your child to Ysgol Bro Idris s and to collaborating with all stakeholders in the school’s community to realize the simple vision of Ysgol Bro Idris, i.e. “To create a school that ensures that every learner is happy and safe and reaches his or her full potential, both educationally and socially.” Ysgol Bro Idris is a new, 3-16 all-through school, which has been established in the catchment area of Y Gader, Dolgellau.
