Tollcross Primary School is situated within Edinburgh city center and welcomes families from a wide variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Tollcross Primary School, as we see it today, is situated on the site of the former Municipal Slaughterhouse of Fountainbridge. Thornton Primary School has been serving the local community in Ward End since 1930. Generations of families have entrusted the education of their children to the school which is very popular and oversubscribed in every year group.
