Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI)is the largest university-type accredited non-state technical higher educational and scientific establishment in Riga, Latvia's capital. It was established in 1999, although it incorporated the core of a technical and aviation school that dated back to 1919.[1] Main directions of academic activities: electronics and telecommunications, information technology and computer science, economics, management and business administration, transport, and logistics. Transport and telecommunication institute (lat. Transporta un sakaru institūts – TSI) – is a modern university with an almost centennial history. TSI – is the university-successor of the legendary RKIIGA (Riga Red-Banner Civil Aviation Institute) and RAU (Riga Aviation Institute). In the present-day appearance, TSI was established in 1999. UkrSURT was founded in September 1930 on the base of the Kharkiv Institute of Engineers of Railway Transport. UkrSURT is a modern educational establishment of IV- the accreditation level with a high international reputation in industry the worlds and scientific research. More than 10 thousand students study at the University, including international students, that get a baccalaureate, master's degree, or sciences candidate. The University unites 35 departments, including 20 graduating. All departments actively cooperate with the branch industrial enterprises of Ukraine and foreign countries. The University has a stationary, correspondence and distant form of studies. At the University there work the institute of retraining and in-plant training. The University has four modern educational corps with the well-equipped laboratories, scientific and technical library on 1,5 million, media folder, computer centres, sports halls, first-aid post and seven dormitories. The campus - a structural unit of the University, whose work is aimed at providing housing for those in need of nonresident students, undergraduates, graduate students, university staff, students IPK and travel to the University and the maintenance of discipline, order, and cleanliness in the territory of the hostels. The age of scientific and technological revolution is increasing the proportion of complex products in all sectors of the economy, requiring experts to continuously improve the level of knowledge that promotes the proper functioning of the country's industrial complex, including transport and its infrastructure. Employees of the University in 2016 published abroad: 93 articles in collections of scientific papers in scientific journals (the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Great Britain, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan), 36 of them - in Scopus databases, as well as the 75 Theses presentations at conferences abroad (Russia, Ukraine, China). The University issued two international collections of scientific works. Over the years, it became a tradition to hold the Belarusian State University of Transport International scientific-practical conference (PBMCs): "Perspectives, Problems and directions of development of digital radio for rail transport," "Innovation in the technical-economic systems," "Construction and restoration of artificial structures. " The conference was attended by scientists and experts from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Slovenia.
