This year OCS has added a fourth focus area, with the inclusion of a Sports Development plan. This includes an identified agenda, a plan, and a team facilitator to guide this early but vital development phase. Christian education seeks to support each child's child's individual development to glorify God, and meaningfully serve each other. The school seeks to align all school life areas with Biblical principles, including administration, curriculum, governance, and welfare. By developing a faithful approach to education, OCS strives to offer excellent academic, physical, spiritual, communal, and emotional growth for our students. Orange Christian School is registered by the NSW Board of Studies, which allows us to receive Government funding (except for Prep/Pre Kinder). Our curriculum and policies are inspected by the Board of Studies, enabling the school to offer the School Certificate and Higher School Certificate. The school is divided into four sections based on the NSW Curriculum and good teaching practice. These are Prep, the Junior School, the Middle School, and the Senior High School preparing for their Higher School Certificate.

As students progress through Years 7 to 12, a greater degree of choice is introduced. This enables students to develop patterns of study that are highly appropriate to their career ambitions and future needs. The curriculum is divided into three stages: Students of Orange Grammar are taught the NSW Board of Studies' syllabuses and participate in the National Assessment Programs. For students in Kindergarten to Year 6, there are six key learning areas: English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE), Creative Arts and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE). To achieve school's vision, our three key focus areas are: Christian education for lifelong discipleship A strong academic focus and An emphasis on creative and performing arts. This year OCS has added a fourth focus area, with the inclusion of a Sports Development plan. This includes an identified agenda, a plan, and a team facilitator to guide this early but vital development phase.
