The British School of Geneva (BSG) was created in response to an ever-growing need in Geneva for private, anglophone education and specific demand for the English National program. BSG is the only school in the area to offer the cohesive English National Curriculum from Reception to A-Levels. Accordingly, we are an obvious choice for students transitioning from or returning to, a British-based curriculum. BSG is the only international school in the region to offer British A-Levels (Years 12 and 13), open to students of all nationalities and educational backgrounds who wish to specialize in certain subjects. This program allows greater flexibility to students who have specific areas of strength - we build on and further develop these strengths, thus enhancing their prospects for entrance to universities around the world. Our Kindergarten at Geneva uses a Reading Readiness Programme. This program is designed to develop essential skills that prepare a child to learn to read. All these together foster learning of the letter sounds, encourage understanding of number concepts, strengthen memory, visual, auditory, and co-ordination skills, and build Christian character. Devonport Chaplaincy Inc. has been chosen as our Chaplaincy provider, and Mr. Chris Stafferton has continued as our school chaplain. The National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP) provides funding to schools to access a school chaplain or student welfare worker's services. Devonport Chaplaincy Inc. takes care of the Federal Government's administrative work, and they take care of our Chaplain with support, training, and encouragement.
