Join us Position Overview The Biomarker Research unit in the mRNA Center of Excellence is building a world-class immunology team and is seeking highly motivated Scientists to performing experimental in vitro studies to assess the immunogenicity, reactogenicity, and MoAs of mRNA vaccines. The ideal candidate will be laboratory-focused position that may take a leading role in conducting immunology research assays, performing initial data analyses, and assisting in the preparation of data and conclusions for presentation to senior team members. This position requires transversal collaboration with other scientific staff to help achieve the success of project goals. Periodic collaboration with senior team members to interpret conclusions based on experimental findings will be required. Key decisions made by a Scientist include defining parameters of study and experimental plans. A Scientist should possess a strong background in assay development and optimization with experience in immunology, molecular biology, bio-engineering, and/or a related field(s). A Scientist should foster a cooperative environment with both scientific staff and management team to perform scientific experiments and maintain lab cleanliness and functionality. Key Responsibilities Independently develop and optimize experimental assays to meet project objectives. As required, serve as an experimental laboratory lead to design and execute experiments with scientific staff that comply with study protocols and maintain scientific norms (contain appropriate positive and negative controls, replicates, standards, etc.) to appropriately achieve goals set forth in study plans Demonstrate technical proficiency in a broad array of experimental protocols. Guide junior personnel in protocol development and execution. Present data in team meetings and to scientific staff Critically evaluate relevant literature/protocols with respect to applicable projects. Train scientific staff as needed. Assist senior staff in preparation of publications, proposals, reports, patents, and grant applications. Using a strong understanding of common concepts, practices, and procedures, provide experimental input to senior team members as needed. Effectively record and report experiments, maintaining GRP and HSE standards and policies. The position requires work with human blood products. Knowledge and Skill Required PhD with 1 year experience, M.S. degree with 3 years, or B.S. degree with 5 years of relevant experience. Degree should be in biological, chemical, physical, biomedical, or applied science field based on the specific requirements of the job function. Degree in immunological science preferred. Human Immunology background, computerized data analysis, and experiences in HTS (high-throughput screening) automation are preferred.     Job Summery Provide Quality leadership across the site organization.
