    In anticipation of award for the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) National Defense Space Architecture Tranche 2 Tracking Layer program, Dynetics is seeking to fill positions. The T2 Tracking Layer effort will provide the capability to provide global, persistent indications, detection, warning, tracking, and identification of advanced missile threats, including hypersonic missile systems. The T2 Tracking Layer scope includes up to 27 space vehicles (SVs), ground systems as well as operations with a total period of performance up to 8 years. Each SV is equipped with an IR mission payload, three (3) Optical Communications Terminals (OCT), and Ka-band communications payload. Primary Responsibilities We are seeking skilled and experienced Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) Lead to join our dynamic and innovative software development team. As the SDET Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software and hardware products. You will work closely with our development, manufacturing and quality assurance teams to design and implement automated testing solutions, maintain testing frameworks, and identify and resolve issues to deliver high-quality software. If you are passionate about software and hardware quality and have a strong background in test automation, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions. As the SDET Lead, you will define and develop testing to both verify software features and functionality in a variety of applications from a pure software environment to full integration testing on hardware. This includes driving hardware test equipment using software interfaces and verifying results. Basic Qualifications - Test Automation: Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Python, Java, Jython, Xray for Jira or similar technologies. - Languages: Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, C++, C or Matlab with the ability to write, maintain, and troubleshoot code for test automation. - Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, pytest, gtest) and experience in creating test suites. - Test Strategy: Experience in developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Version Control: Proficient in using version control systems (e.g., GitLab, SVN) to manage test scripts and collaborate with development teams. - Debugging: Strong debugging skills to identify and analyze software defects and issues in a systematic manner. - Agile/Scrum: Working knowledge of Agile Principles and the Scrum framework - Quality Assurance Practices: Understanding of software quality assurance best practices and the ability to contribute to the improvement of testing processes. - Documentation: Strong documentation skills to create and maintain test cases, test plans, and testing-related documentation. - Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on test progress and results. - Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and address complex testing challenges. - Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering or other technical degree. - Minimum of 12 years as software developer and/or test engineer Preferred Qualifications - CI/CD Integration: Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins Agents or GitLab Runners. - Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies to assess the performance and scalability of software applications. - Security Testing: Familiarity with security testing tools and practices to identify vulnerabilities in software. - Containerization: Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. - Image processing: demonstrated performance in image testing would be preferred. - Database Experience: Experience working with databases to capture data and test results.
