ISN is a co-educational English medium school established in 1990 located at Thymsa. We have the pre-primary, primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary with the science stream with around 65 teachers and more than 1500 students. We have a good team of dedicated teachers along with modern technologies like well-furnished laboratories and libraries. Teachers attend workshops and seminars frequently for enhancing their teaching skills. The school took its initial steps forward with very few students on its rolls in 1990 and since then has grown to the strength of over 1500. It is noteworthy that the school has not only achieved phenomenal progress in academics and other co-scholastic areas over these years but has also carved a niche for itself among the expatriate Indian community. The School has classes from LKG to Standard XII and is well equipped to fulfill the needs of every child. The school imparts academic education in Science and Commerce and imparts life education through sports, field trips, debates, quizzes, music, and such pursuits that develop an individual into a complete human being of value to society. The science and computer labs, library, and playground give the children an opportunity to bring out their innate talents and skills. The Multi-purpose court for outdoor games and provisions for indoor games like chess, caroms, table tennis enables the child to develop his interest. Though this school is primarily for Indian children, its high-quality education attracts children of several other nations. It has an international character by way of having students of 12 nationalities of Asia and Africa. Close cooperation and healthy friendship amongst children of various nationalities have been highly conducive to the realization of the ideal of a global outlook. The University of Nizwa (UoN) was established in the Sultanate of Oman in 2004 as a faculty governed not-for-profit private University. It is located 140 km from Muscat's national capital in the interior region of Al-Dakhiliya, near the historic former capital of Nizwa. The University seeks to provide a progressive and safe learning environment that is respectful of the Sultanate's traditions and values. Nizwa College of Technology (NCT) is located on the eastern outskirts of Nizwa city, about 12 km from the city center. The College started in 1993 as "Nizwa Technical and Industrial College." Before that, its premises were built as a vocational training center, and since that time, the same infrastructure is now in use. The College started with (102) students in its first academic year. The number of academic staff was (22) against (12) administrative staff. The implemented academic program was for two years, and teaching was in Arabic. In 1995, the College produced its first batch of graduates. Quality education holds the key to the future standard of living in our society. The Ministry of Manpower, represented by the Directorate General of Technical Education, announces that receiving applications for part-time students in technical colleges is now open for applicants. The system is aimed at persons working in public and private sectors who wish to complete their studies. At NCT, we offer specialized programs for part-time students to meet the labor market and technological requirements. CAS Nizwa is a public college that offers a range of programs in the field of Applied Sciences. As planned, the College planned one of the MOHEs Centres of Excellence, awards degrees in Design, International Business Administration, and Communication Studies. The College of Applied Sciences_Nizwa is a leading university college in higher education. The College is located in Al Dakhiliya Region in the Wilayat of Nizwa, around170 km away from Muscat. The College started receiving students in the academic year 94/1995, and the first cohort of students graduated in the academic year 97/1998. The College awards a bachelor s degree in three programs, namely: Communication Studies Program in the following majors: - Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, Media Management, Advertising, and International Communication. Design Program in the following majors: - Graphic Design, Digital Design, and Spatial Design. International Business Management Program in International Business Management major. College of Applied Sciences-Nizwa (CAS-Nizwa) is one of the six colleges of Applied Sciences governed by the Ministry of Higher Education. This higher education institution was first founded in 1990 and progressed through several stages. It started as an Intermediate Teacher Training College, offering a diploma in teaching. In 1994/1995, the College was upgraded into a College of Education offering Bachelor Degrees in Education (B.Ed). When the College of Education had trained a sufficient number of teachers, to the point that no further need of B.Ed graduates was envisaged, the College was then converted into a College of Applied Sciences launching new degree routes. This conversion took place in the academic year 2005/2006. The conversion came as part of the MoHE's continuous endeavors to upgrade the offerings of the HEIs under its jurisdiction, thus bringing them into line with the ever-changing demands and ever-rising standards of the labor market. Students admitted into the foundation program of the colleges of Applied Sciences are required to sit for an English placement test at the beginning of the first semester, which is carried out in the Autumn Semester orientation week. They will be streamed into four levels (A, B, C, and D) in light of their performance on the test. The Bachelor of Design program at CAS offers Omani students a unique opportunity to display ingenuity and innovation. It is a program that educates students in problem-solving in the most inspired way, focusing on both the academic and applied aspects of design. Being closely linked with the local industry, the students are continually being exposed to the latest design trends and styles. There are currently three design specializations being offered at the Colleges of Applied Sciences. They are Graphic Design, Digital Design, and Spatial Design. These specializations are being offered at the two Centers of Design in Ibri and Nizwa. They are four-year full-time degree programs leading to a Bachelor's Degree in Design. Graduates of the Design Program will possess the knowledge and demonstrate the abilities which meet national and regional employment needs and contribute to Oman s economy and society. The Learning Resource Centre at Nizwa College of Applied Sciences plays a vital role in the Ministry of Higher Education's educational reform initiative. The LRC's primary goal is to enhance student learning. To achieve this goal, the LRC provides the College community with current materials and resources, access to the Internet for research and study, and educational technologies to promote a learner-centered environment. To date, considerable progress has been made in equipping the Centre of Specialization according to international standards.
