The mission of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov consists of creating innovative scientific and human resources for an intellectual exploration of the Russian North and Arctic.NArFU’s strategic tasks are closely linked with the implementation of the national geopolitical interests in the Arctic. Russia lacks experts and technologies to develop its Arctic area, its continental shelf, and infrastructure. The University creates conditions necessary to support the industrial projects being launched in the polar region with personnel and technologies. Apart from skill development, it offers education in the social and humanitarian field of studies. Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Set up based on Arkhangelsk State Technical University (ASTU), the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NArFU) is a higher education institution established by RF President Dmitry Medvedev’s Decree dd. 8 June 2010. The University can already boast many achievements, and the plans for the future are also promising. Northern Arctic Federal University is pleased to invite foreign specialists interested in teaching and research at the University for a period exceeding one semester. NArFU’s personnel policy aims to increase the University’s HR potential, training highly qualified professionals, and promote internationalization and international cooperation.NArFU is home to experienced researchers and an innovative research infrastructure comprising scientific and educational units, shared use of equipment centers, research and teaching centers, laboratories, and cutting-edge innovative technologies. The University’s research performance has increased fivefold since 2010. V.G. Shukhov Belgorod state technological university (BSTU) is one of 33 flagship universities in Russia. The universities that entered the national "Flagship University" program have a mission: to teach and train specialists for the regions in which they are located. Owing to developing the construction industry, the Belgorod region requires introducing new subjects, fields of studies, a large-scale application of project work and a technological upgrade of the material resources of teaching, and the provision of multi-professional training. It is necessary to train students with intersection knowledge, for example, "engineering + economy + information technology." The BSTU graduates are engineers with fundamental knowledge and leaders with economic and legal qualifications, knowing foreign languages. BSTU, being a flagship university, has to change the direction of higher education development in engineering and technical disciplines in the Belgorod region and become a multifield University of an entrepreneurial type. The Innovative Development Program of the V.G. Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University (V.G. Shukhov BSTU) is based on industry and regional principles implemented and provided by the development of a scientific and educational cluster and innovative, technological space in Russia. As part of the proposed Development Program, the University is formed as an integral part of the leading universities network for system modernization of higher professional education based on the integration of science, education, and production, and training highly qualified staff to meet the needs of the innovative economy of the building materials and construction industry, energy, and the military-industrial complex. The cluster system of scientific, educational, innovative, and technological space provides integration of training and retraining of staff for the building materials industry, coordination of research and development, technology improvement, modernization and construction of enterprises, and anti-crisis implementation measures for all regions of Russia. The scientific and educational innovation platform is one of the essential elements of the University's educational, scientific, and innovative activities. It includes education in BA, Specialist or MA degrees and getting a Ph.D. in the chosen major. Consequently, a full cycle of highly qualified specialists training who produce new knowledge, innovative developments, and products is provided. An indispensable prerequisite for the platform is a close partnership with industry enterprises in terms of training and retraining staff and introducing developments. We are proud of our alumni. Many of them have become leading experts and managers of the largest enterprises of the construction industry. Research schools and scientists of our University are well-known in the international community. Today innovative technologies in the construction industry are successfully implemented at leading construction enterprises in Russia and abroad.
