In 2004 we became an independent school and continued the Montessori education of children up to the age of 11. Our PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education) course runs throughout KS3, KS4, and KS5 and is designed to prepare our students to take an informed and active role as citizens in British society. We pride ourselves on the number and range of extracurricular activities on offer to our students. By extending their learning outside of the classroom, students have the opportunity to expand their horizons. We strongly recommend that all students supplement their academic studies by participating in at least one extra-curricular club. At Wallington High School for Girls, we recognize the importance of learning outside of the classroom and the impact these experiences have on students’ development. We, therefore, have five dedicated Enrichment Days each year, one in the Autumn term, one in the Spring term, and three days in the Summer term. During this time, all students will be off timetable and will therefore be able to enjoy the activities on offer, knowing they will not be missing any lessons.
