Nile University (NU) is a world-class research institution of learning committed to excellence in education and research. Nile University is an Ahleya, non-governmental, and non-profit University and the first of its kind in Egypt. The University offers both undergraduate and graduate programs; NU was officially inaugurated in January 2007 to create a tech-based knowledge generation platform to streamline Egyptian youth with the global innovation and science community. Its business and technology-based programs and research centers are designed to address critical areas of vital importance to the economic growth and prosperity of the people of Egypt and the region and to engage in cutting-edge applied research.
Nile University with the largest incoming class in our history, consisting of students carefully selected to match the University's educational quality standards and leadership values. Learning will take place in our state-of-the-art, permanent campus in Sheik Zayed City, which was designed in a way to provide a wholesome educational experience to researchers, faculty, and students as well as provide incubation and acceleration space to technology-based startups and venues for cultural events, reflecting NU's belief in the role of the University not just as an educational institution but as a catalyst of change and a leader in the whole surrounding community.
To adhere to our University's mission statement to deliver quality education, we are committed to creating a learning culture. To maximize our students' educational experience, we will begin classes on time and without delay.
As we look to the future, we also are very proud of our recent and past accomplishments, which include graduating our first-ever undergraduate class, as well as a large number of Masters students in a beautiful ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of Egypt, the Minister of Higher Education, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, the Minister of Scientific Research, the Director of USAID in Egypt, as well as many dignitaries, community business leaders and, just as important to us at Nile University, the proud parents who watched their sons and daughters walk across that stage and receive their diploma.
Despite the obstacles and difficulties of the last few years, the future is bright, thanks to all your unwavering support. We are busy equipping the campus with new labs, sports facilities, and all the equipment needed to give our students a full college experience that not only enriches their professional lives but personal lives, as well. We realize that there is still a long way to go, but with the support of the family, friends, students, community leaders, and government, we can be one of the top-ranking universities in the region in the world.
