Springfield Primary School was originally built on Springfield Road in Belfast in 1910. The building is of traditional red-brick design comprising some architectural features typical of that “old Belfast”. It is of excellent condition and has been carefully preserved over the years. Rockport was founded by Geoffrey Bing, in 1906, as a boys’ preparatory school, and pupils were made ready for the Common Entrance examination to public schools throughout the United Kingdom.
