  2. Darul Uloom has come an extremely long way since those early days in 1985 when the school started with just a small building and even fewer resources. Our vision was to establish an institute that would create experts in the Islamic sciences who would become exemplary representatives of Islam, preserve the Islamic identity of British Muslims, and possess the necessary skills to benefit the local community and enrich the wider society. By the Grace of Allah and through the dedication and sincerity of a group of committed Muslims, we established Darul Uloom Al-Arabia Al-Islamiah in 1985. The Madrasah was one of the first of its kind in the western world. Thus, the Darul Uloom acted as a blueprint for other Madaris, and in subsequent years paved the way for many Islamic institutes to open throughout the country. Darul Uloom has served its purpose of educating thousands of students with both an understanding of the Islamic Sciences and competency in the National Curriculum subjects - a combination that has provided students the basis to pursue further education in a wide range of disciplines. Students of Darul Uloom have gone on to become great Ulema, Huffaz, and professionals in numerous sectors of society: Imams, teachers, doctors, engineers, lawyers, councilors, businessmen, and many others. In recent years, there has been a renewed, reinvigorated drive to develop and improve the standards of education further. The Madrasah has taken great strides to further that aim and there are genuine expectations for it to become a center of excellence and beacon for Islamic learning in the west. Nurturing a boy through the early stages of his life is a serious commitment and a great challenge for the 21st Century. We are educating our children for a world that is rapidly changing which requires not only an excellent foundation of learning but also the acquisition of strong Islamic principles with forward-thinking and problem-solving abilities. We believe that all our students are capable of achieving outstanding outcomes and developing into active British citizens who contribute fully to the local and global community. We promote fundamental British values and we want each pupil to question and to think and to act responsibly. Finally, and most importantly, we believe everyone will be judged by Allah (SWT) as our beloved Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: ''Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you will be questioned regarding his flock''. Therefore we endeavor, strive, and struggle to enable your son to achieve personal success in this world and the next. Darul Uloom Islamic High School is a unique school that provides a balance of traditional Islamic education blended with National Curriculum subjects. The School was first established with the primary goal of educating and developing the future ‘Alims, scholars, and leaders of the Muslim community in Britain ones who are well versed in Islamic knowledge but at the same time fully able to proceed on to other professional careers if they so choose ones who understand the nuances of living as a Muslim but having knowledge and respect for other cultures and beliefs. Our key aims: Instill respect, tolerance, and understanding to create an environment where learning can flourish. Teach manners, courtesy, and cohesion both within the school and outside. Teach manners, courtesy, and cohesion both within the school and outside. Nurturing ambition, openness, and community spirit for future leaders. Aspiring for the highest educational results, but from the Islamic (Hifz and ‘Alimi) courses as well as the National Curriculum subjects. We aim to offer a complete education and tarbiyyah program, nurturing and developing every aspect of a student’s heart, mind, and body so that not only are they exemplary ‘alims and sincere Muslims, they are also creative thinkers, conscientious leaders, and role models for society. DUIHS combines 1438 years of rich Islamic History and tradition with the 21st century needs of students living in modern-day Britain. We provide an exceptional all-around yet balanced Islamic and secular education for boys of secondary school age. At DUIHS we have students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. However, we are all united serving one purpose practicing and living Islam through mutual love, respect, and cooperation. Darul Uloom provides a unique balance of traditional Islamic education and National Curriculum subjects which aims to nurture intellectual development, interest, and enthusiasm for learning as well as achieving the highest results. We follow the GCSE program of study for public examinations, however, we try to reach beyond what is expected through drawing on a wide range of experience and techniques as well as adding an Islamic outlook to each subject.

  9. Mazahirul Uloom has been a leading school in east London, providing facilities for the Muslim community since 1996. Get in touch with us today to find out firsthand for yourself. We have worked very hard to create the right environment for your children to excel and learn and we are constantly improving the facilities and procedures to maintain high-quality education. By the grace of Allah, we are constantly expanding the services and facilities that we provide to our congregation as well as the students. It has now become one of the leading Islamic secondary schools in East London with a high quality of education which some would say exceeds that which is provided in mainstream secondary schools. All our GCSE level classes are provided following the national curriculum. Mazahirul Uloom London School is a learning environment at the heart of its community. We promote care and respect and expect high standards in all aspects of school life. We aim to meet the needs of young people in London preparing them for adult and working life in the 21st century. The educational vision and curriculum design for Mazahirul Uloom London recognize that: The world of 2020 will be very different from the world of today. The pace of change is increasing, hence the importance of flexibility. Young people have, and will have increasingly, greater access to information and learning material independently of school. Adulthood entails economic participation but more. 18+-year-olds will still be at an early stage of learning. The current curriculum defined in subject terms is not always well suited to equipping every young person with the knowledge, skills, and understanding they will need for fulfilling adult life. Curriculum delivery should involve greater use of adults other than teachers. These could include support staff, graduates, artists, sportspeople, and people from industry and business to support curriculum delivery. Mazahirul Uloom London’s curriculum policy is based on the following aims, Have students at its heart, putting their interests above those of the institution. Have a curriculum that is fit for purpose, offering differentiation and personalization. Be a center of excellence in learning and teaching. Prepare all students for a successful adult and working life in the 21st-century global society. First, achieve and then exceed national standards in achievement, attainment, and progression. Be committed to excellence and continuous improvement. To Value vocational and academic routes equally. Nurture the talents of all and celebrate success. Work with Primary Schools to ease the transition. Involve the community. Involve parents/guardians. Be in a learning environment that is above all else inspiring. The curriculum should inspire and challenge all learners and prepare them for the future. The school aims to develop a coherent curriculum that builds on young people’s experiences in the primary phase and that helps all young people to become successful learners, confident individuals, and responsible citizens.
