      About Me

      1. Darul Uloom London was established in 1988 and is situated in Chislehurst, London. The surroundings are very attractive and peaceful and the school is easily accessible from all directions. The Islamic ethos of the school is of the utmost importance. To promote the Islamic ethos, Darul Uloom School places a strong emphasis on Islamic manners, behavior, punctuality, Islamic dress code, mutual respect for fellow pupils, and utmost respect for staff and parents. Darul Uloom School provides higher Islamic education alongside secular education. We hope that our students will become imams and religious leaders in the future, serving the Muslim community in the UK, and making a positive contribution towards social cohesion in our multi-cultural society. We hope that, by providing high-quality Islamic and Secular Curriculum education for the Muslim community, following the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet (saw), we will ultimately produce students who practice Islam and serve the Deen of Allah. Our purpose is to produce great scholars and Huffaz to preserve and transmit the eternal message of Allah. The institution helps children to explore and develop their Islamic identity as a natural part of their mental, emotional, and personal development. The school aims to prepare Muslim students to be good Muslims and responsible citizens to embed in the student a sense of discipline to enable them to grow up to become upright, respectable, and worthy citizens of their respective countries. The school is a purpose-built hostel constructed in 1974. Its premises comprises 130 modern boarding rooms in addition to classrooms, dining hall, assembly hall, prayer hall, playing fields and 2 car parks with over 70 spaces. The total area of the building is 10 acres. All the 130 modern rooms have standard facilities including cupboards and drawers, full carpeting, beds, and mattresses. Each room is generally shared by two or three boys. Ethos Statement: Children and young people are part of our community, entrusted upon us by Allah. It is, therefore, our duty, our responsibility, and our privilege to nurture them in learning moral values and in obedience to Allah. We aim to educate our children to participate effectively and constructively within society from within a spiritual, Quranic, and Prophetic perspective through the means of example, dialogue, and positive communication At Darul Uloom London, we are committed to working with parents to secure the best educational outcomes and understand the individual needs of every child. This means that children, parents, and teachers can have their say, be heard appropriately, and have clear and efficient communications which are respectful to all parties. Our support staff will pass this message onto the relevant member of staff. We ask that you phone to request appointments to meet with staff and do not turn up without one, to avoid disappointment. During the school day, we want teachers to prioritize teaching and learning and pastoral care. They may not, therefore, be available to respond to messages or emails immediately. We aim to respond to your phone call or email within 48 hours. If the query is complex then a holding phone call or email will be used within 48 hours, so that we can provide a full response. 3. Darul Uloom has come an extremely long way since those early days in 1985 when the school started with just a small building and even fewer resources. Our vision was to establish an institute that would create experts in the Islamic sciences who would become exemplary representatives of Islam, preserve the Islamic identity of British Muslims, and possess the necessary skills to benefit the local community and enrich the wider society. By the Grace of Allah and through the dedication and sincerity of a group of committed Muslims, we established Darul Uloom Al-Arabia Al-Islamiah in 1985. The Madrasah was one of the first of its kind in the western world. Thus, the Darul Uloom acted as a blueprint for other Madaris, and in subsequent years paved the way for many Islamic institutes to open throughout the country. Darul Uloom has served its purpose of educating thousands of students with both an understanding of the Islamic Sciences and competency in the National Curriculum subjects - a combination that has provided students the basis to pursue further education in a wide range of disciplines. Students of Darul Uloom have gone on to become great Ulema, Huffaz, and professionals in numerous sectors of society: Imams, teachers, doctors, engineers, lawyers, councilors, businessmen, and many others. In recent years, there has been a renewed, reinvigorated drive to develop and improve the standards of education further. The Madrasah has taken great strides to further that aim and there are genuine expectations for it to become a center of excellence and beacon for Islamic learning in the west. Nurturing a boy through the early stages of his life is a serious commitment and a great challenge for the 21st Century. We are educating our children for a world that is rapidly changing which requires not only an excellent foundation of learning but also the acquisition of strong Islamic principles with forward-thinking and problem-solving abilities. We believe that all our students are capable of achieving outstanding outcomes and developing into active British citizens who contribute fully to the local and global community. We promote fundamental British values and we want each pupil to question and to think and to act responsibly. Finally, and most importantly, we believe everyone will be judged by Allah (SWT) as our beloved Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: ''Every one of you is a shepherd, and every one of you will be questioned regarding his flock''. Therefore we endeavor, strive, and struggle to enable your son to achieve personal success in this world and the next. Darul Uloom Islamic High School is a unique school that provides a balance of traditional Islamic education blended with National Curriculum subjects. The School was first established with the primary goal of educating and developing the future ‘Alims, scholars, and leaders of the Muslim community in Britain ones who are well versed in Islamic knowledge but at the same time fully able to proceed on to other professional careers if they so choose ones who understand the nuances of living as a Muslim but having knowledge and respect for other cultures and beliefs. Our key aims: Instill respect, tolerance, and understanding to create an environment where learning can flourish. Teach manners, courtesy, and cohesion both within the school and outside. Teach manners, courtesy, and cohesion both within the school and outside. Nurturing ambition, openness, and community spirit for future leaders. Aspiring for the highest educational results, but from the Islamic (Hifz and ‘Alimi) courses as well as the National Curriculum subjects. We aim to offer a complete education and tarbiyyah program, nurturing and developing every aspect of a student’s heart, mind, and body so that not only are they exemplary ‘alims and sincere Muslims, they are also creative thinkers, conscientious leaders, and role models for society. DUIHS combines 1438 years of rich Islamic History and tradition with the 21st century needs of students living in modern-day Britain. We provide an exceptional all-around yet balanced Islamic and secular education for boys of secondary school age. At DUIHS we have students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. However, we are all united serving one purpose practicing and living Islam through mutual love, respect, and cooperation. Darul Uloom provides a unique balance of traditional Islamic education and National Curriculum subjects which aims to nurture intellectual development, interest, and enthusiasm for learning as well as achieving the highest results. We follow the GCSE program of study for public examinations, however, we try to reach beyond what is expected through drawing on a wide range of experience and techniques as well as adding an Islamic outlook to each subject. 4. Darul Hadis Latifah (Formerly Madrasah-e-Darul Qirat Majidiah) has historically played a pioneering role in educating young British Muslims. Its establishment in 1978 as one of the very first Islamic educational institutions in London, gave respite to many concerned parents about the state of their child’s Islamic education. Our vision is to achieve excellence in all that we do. In doing so, we aim to prepare our pupils for the rapidly growing world in the 21st century. We aim for the highest level of achievement in religious, cultural, and academic performance by providing opportunities to pupils to reach their full potential. We are bound together by the values of Faith, Truth, Fairness, Dedication, Respect, Excellence. The school seeks to educate children in Qur’an and the Shariah in conjunction with mainstream education. The institution’s historical progress is a reflection of the dedication and commitment of its patron and founder. Its origins were humble and the constant need for bigger premises reflects the demand for our services within our local community. Judged as a ‘good’ school by Ofsted, our achievements can be seen through rapid improvements in education. We are also making key strides towards creating a school that makes a significant difference through the disciplines of Islam to the community we serve and provides opportunities for all our pupils and students. We aim to set up a quality independent school for Muslim children where they will be able to develop their academic talents to their full potential as well as their faith in Allah. The school will have a caring, family atmosphere where pupils will learn happily together. The committed and highly qualified staff will ensure that this aim is achieved. Each class will have a personal tutor. The tutors will be concerned with the intellectual, moral, and personal development of all the pupils. This personal care will also enhance the staff-pupil relationship, ensuring the smooth running of the school. We shall strive to make the pupils aware of their responsibilities and obligations towards their own families, the Muslim community, and British society at large so that they are prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead of them. The most important aim of Darul Hadis Latifah is to give all pupils a true understanding of Islam, its principles, and how these can be applied to achieve happiness and success in life. Moral and spiritual training will be given practically through the practice of daily prayers, fasting, and other disciplines of Islam. Encourage pupils to live, learn and conduct themselves according to the laws of The Holy Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Instill in pupils the love for the Prophet (SAW). Enhance the relationship between the school, its parents, and the local community, to build up possibilities for mutual support. Give all pupils an equal and fair opportunity in their education. Ensure that all pupils develop their potential to the full. Develop in pupils a sense of self-worth and enable them to recognize and celebrate their achievements. Support pupils to organize themselves efficiently and learn both cooperatively and independently. Create, in all pupils, a sense of responsibility for themselves, their community, the environment, and society. Educate and train students to enable them to contribute to society and build happy families within the Muslim Community in the 21st century and beyond. Facilitate the emergence of Muslim intellectuals who are fully conversant with both modern thought and traditional teachings. View full school

      6. At Darul Ulum College, we aim to provide students with balanced academic, religious, social, and emotional and academic growth through various delivery modes, including a balance of traditional & discursive practices. We also emphasize hands-on experiences to facilitate stronger connections in learning. Our primary assessment practice involves a unique number grading system that enables systematic and early identification of students at risk and high achievers and their individual termly ongoing growth. At-risk students are offered our intervention programs whereby they are retaught content they struggled to absorb and comprehend in their learning. Opportunities are also provided to extend capable students. Social and academic achievements are acknowledged during the year through a school-based rewarding scheme. Providing education through the contemporary curriculum in a safe school environment incorporates the development of religious and ethical consciousness in students. Establishing a faithful learning community embraces religious and Australian values of freedom of speech and religion openness and tolerance to difference and diversity, and the equality of civil rights through excellence in teaching and learning. Integrating academic and personal skills with principles inspired by the Quran, Sunnah, and Australian values can empower students to make positive contributions to the broader community. Promoting intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development through programs that cater to a broad range of abilities and interests in a safe school environment for all children, including students of culturally and linguistically diverse communities and students with disabilities.
