  1. As the worlds of technology, science, and information explode around us, we are committed to arming all our students with competence: a competence that is derived from a combination of knowledge and strength of character. Mastery of skills alone will not be enough to excel in the coming age. Students will need to make informed decisions and be self-directed learners and thinkers if they are going to succeed in the modern global society. In addition to this important preparation, we are also committed to preserving our Middle Eastern ethics, culture, and religions. This is a formidable task. At NIS, we meet this challenge with vigor, determination, and hope. NIS began admitting students in 1994. We now enroll more than 1900 students from KG to 3rd Secondary. Our first group of seniors graduated in 1996. These pioneering graduates were admitted to both private and public universities in Egypt and abroad. Nefertari International School provides its students with challenging programs of international education while maintaining their cultural identity as Egyptians. NIS strives to create a disciplined, safe, happy, and caring atmosphere that encourages students to be responsible, confident, compassionate, and well-informed citizens who contribute to their local and international community. At Nefertari International Schools, NIS, we are committed to providing a supportive, happy and positive learning environment for all students to help them acquire the academic skills needed for further university education, in addition to implementing values and skills needed to become an active, balanced and compassionate citizen. NBIS Goals and Objectives To stay current in all fields of education. To provide experienced trained British staff utilizing effective teaching resources in an Egyptian context. To inspire in our students an excitement for the acquisition of knowledge, while planting the seeds of life-long learning. To train students to think critically about problems and issues, conduct independent research, organize and implement projects both individually, and as a part of a group. To provide extra-curricular activities, which complement students learning by providing interesting, and challenging opportunities outside the normal classroom environment. To emphasize the sense of belonging to our culture, by nationalizing our social studies curriculum. To teach our students ethics, good behavior, healthy habits, as well as being proud of our Egyptian identity and culture. The NBIS's new campus is highly equipped with various educational and sports facilities that help provide students with a well-rounded experience. Classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and well-lit. they are very well resourced with teaching material and computers. 3. In 2002, the international lycée Nefertari opened its doors to become part of the group "Nefertari International Schools". This decision was made despite the challenges: 1. The majority of families in Egypt prefer the English language 2. The approval of the school by the French Ministry of Education is not easy to obtain. Management has opted for this system because of its cultural richness and its impact on the development of knowledge, critical thinking, and scientific research skills. The value of the French Baccalauréat is recognized in Egypt and worldwide. The school began with 11 pupils, in partnership with the French secular mission "MLF", and an agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs represented by the French cultural center in Egypt. From the beginning, the school focused on the maximum profit of the French system without the loss of the Egyptian identity. The school has also valued the English language because of its international importance in terms of economic actions, business, and international systems. The school, therefore, adopted the slogan "two cultures and three languages" of the French secular mission.
  4. At Nefertari International Schools, NIS, we are committed to providing a supportive, happy and positive learning environment for all students to help them acquire the academic skills needed for further university education, in addition to implementing values and skills needed to become an active, balanced and compassionate citizen. The Nefertari International Schools aim to empower its students with challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment through using state of art technology. It also aims to develop in students the knowledge skills and attitudes from an international perspective and intercultural understanding while maintaining their cultural identity as Egyptians. It strives at educating the whole person who shall serve as a responsible, compassionate, and well-informed citizen. Nefertari International Schools provide skilled and committed teachers who apply recent teaching methodologies, and technology to subject areas. It strives to create a happy, motivated, friendly, and supportive learning environment. NIS has a school physician on duty at all times as well as the facilities of a clinic. If a student feels unwell, they can either rest or can be treated for minor ailments. It should be remembered, however, that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and with this in mind. At NIS, we think of parents as partners who have vital contributions to make to the educational journey of their children. Involved parents talk to their children about school, ask questions, monitor their homework, and stay informed of their child’s progress in all school-related subjects. Parents should always feel free to contact the school administration if they have any queries, concerns, or possible solutions to problems. Likewise, we hope parents will be ready to address, in the context of the home and family, concerns that may be raised by the school about the academic performance or behavior of individual students. We do our best to address problems within the school premises, but, in some cases, more intensive parental involvement may be required to give particular students what they need to succeed. Parents bear responsibility along with their children for any damage to school property stemming from the students' behavior. Faculty Student relationship is of a positive nature, School encourages teachers to develop a close respectful relationship with students through interaction outside the classroom, during extracurricular activities, field trips, etc. This closeness makes the teacher's mission of correcting student’s behavior an easier one. Our approach to discipline is a positive one, which accentuates rewarding good behavior. Students are well aware of our expectations as well as their limitations. In a world of constant change, it is more important than ever to prepare our young people for the challenges and opportunities they will face as 21st-century adults. NLS seeks to develop and inspire students who are articulate, knowledgeable, organized, compassionate, creative, responsible, and able to learn and adapt to new information, new technologies, new situations, and new people. As our world is becoming “smaller,” we seek to bring that world to our students with an informed appreciation of its diversity, depth, and almost limitless possibility. This is our mission, our passion, our labor of love, and our promise. We are eagerly looking forward to working with you to make this a great year for your child’s education and development.
