      1. MSK was founded to support students with Learning Difficulties (Pre K – 12) to expand their intellectual, social-emotional, and physical potentials, thereby providing them with the necessary skills to be successful at higher levels of education and in life. Our international staff of Special Educators has many years of experience and stays up-to-date with the new educational trends. Our staff is dedicated to providing our students with the most thorough and relevant academic and social services to meet students’ needs. The mission of Manarat School-Kuwait (MSK) is to provide a challenging education that empowers students with Learning Difficulties (LD) to become independent learners who are critical thinkers and responsible global citizens. The dream, the vision, of schools for students with special needs was because of a very special girl – Muneera. Muneera, one of the daughters of the owners was a special needs child. The dream began with the founding of the Ideal Education School in 1996. Students at Ideal are significantly mentally and in many cases physically challenged. The owners soon realized that there was another segment of the special needs population that needed a safe learning environment designed to meet their needs. These students who are learning disabled and are slow learners may also have ADHD and/or be physically challenged. In September 2007, Manarat School-Kuwait (MSK) opened its doors. Since then the school has been defining the population it can serve and has received authorization from the Ministry to offer two academic programs through to Grade 12. Muneera has since passed away, but the dream in her memory lives on. MSK was chartered by the Ministry of Education-Kuwait to serve the educational needs of children with learning difficulties and special needs, ages 3 – 21. The school is situated behind the American University of Kuwait in Salmiya which is on Salem Al-Mubarak Street. MSK is a widely recognized school in Kuwait because of the unique opportunities it provides for all children respecting their individual and special needs, cultural backgrounds, and the aspirations of their parents. There is a rich array of skills and experience among teaching, support, and administrative staff. On-going professional and school development are considered vital in maintaining the school’s learning culture. MSK is well resourced. In addition to teachers, administration, and a large number of support staff, the school has a wealth of materials and equipment to facilitate and enrich student learning. Computers and Information Communication Technology are increasingly integral parts of the teaching process. MSK is developed for students with learning potential, who are experiencing challenges that are interfering with their ability to be academically successful. MSK was created to help these students more fully develop their intellectual, social-emotional, and physical potential, thereby providing them with the necessary skills to be successful at higher levels of education and in life. Students at MSK learn through their strengths rather than by emphasizing their weaknesses. They are taught learning skills and techniques that work for them. They have the opportunity to develop skills and talents that will assist them in understanding their strengths and weaknesses. The students learn compensatory skills that aid them in developing strategies to overcome their weaknesses. MSK students receive services based on their Individual Education Plan (IEP). This document is created by the MSK specialists and is reviewed regularly. It is based on the body of evaluations conducted thus far, outlining the current skill levels, defining measurable objectives, and providing a baseline for improvements. Student progress is reviewed regularly. MSK has a specifically defined mission. We recognize that we cannot provide programs for all students. On occasion, we find that a student who has been accepted is not benefiting from the program. When this happens, the parents are advised and all efforts are made to assist in finding a more appropriate learning environment. View full school

The knowledge revolution which we encounter nowadays has led to an expansion of knowledge and communication fields making the whole world a small village. The internet entered the world of knowledge, entertainment, and communication. Its users are increasing day after day. Its use has become a must in organizations and administrations to develop work and to take advantage of all the new and provide better services. Our schools- Manarat Madinah schools acting within the system of the pioneer Maarif for Education and Training -which are distinguished in the educational performance and are keen to develop work in all their facilities, decided to enter this gateway to benefit from the sources of the internet in everything that serves the educational process and to increase communication among teachers, students, parents, and home. Our schools set up sites on the internet to allow everyone to overview the school services in the fields of education, events, and activities, policies, clear goals, ambitions, and all that help raise the educational level of the students and deepen the cooperation between the schools and home and between the administration, teacher, parents and the student. A robust partnership with parents is one of the strongest motivations for continuous development to support building the future of our students and preparing them to build their careers. Maarif for Education and Training has achieved a matchless achievement in the region by obtaining academic accreditation as the first school educational system in the Middle East and the third outside the United States of America. This accomplishment represents pride for the country, leadership in the field of pre-university private education, and a key step to contributing to keeping up with the 2030 Vision. This accreditation comes after the visit of the huge external review team compromising 27 members of different nationalities around the world by Advanced that oversees the accreditation of more than 22,000 private schools and educational institutions spread in 72 countries around the world. The final evaluation visit continued for five consecutive days preceded by several visits throughout the whole year. The visits covered all Manarat Schools, Faisaliah, Nour Al Islam, and Green Hills schools in Riyadh, Medina, Jeddah, Khobar, and Dammam, Al-Asha, and Rabigh as well as all national and international Maarif schools. With the accreditation of Maarif for Education and Training as an educational system, all schools owned, operated, or acquired by Maarif currently or in the future will be accredited by AdvancED. It is noteworthy that Maarif for Education and Training has 24,000 students in its schools in all phases of education from kindergarten through high school and provides a variety of learning tracks covering both the national and international curriculum (British and American). The vision of Maarif is to prepare creative students who contribute to the renaissance and strength of the country.

We hope this work will meet all targets that we dream of. We aspire to make the site of our schools on the internet as a brick added to the construction of this erected scientific entity in the city of Al Moustafa "Peace be upon him". In our International schools is “to create an atmosphere which encourages high educational achievements, develops exemplary character, and fosters multicultural awareness”. Of our International schools is “to provide our students with a challenging standard of education with a fully integrated curriculum which develops academic and social skills in a stimulating, technologically modern, enjoyable and secure environment.
