- Nestled in a verdant oasis on a hillside in Cologny, Switzerland, the International Institute of Notre Dame du Lac has always strived to achieve academic excellence and the values of the French education system. But above all else, we promote the joy of learning. By respecting each individual's pace of learning, we encourage children to develop and allow them to get the most out of their first few years at school. Our school welcomes children aged between 3 and 11 years in mixed-gender pre-school and primary classes and promotes personalized mentoring within an exceptional environment. Over the last 70 years, large numbers of both Genevans and international youngsters have achieved success at our school. Between classical academism and the dissemination of knowledge using state-of-the-art equipment, we place a great deal of emphasis on the basics: learning to read, express oneself, write and count. With effect from the start of the 2017 academic year, the number of hours of English-language teaching will be doubled at all levels, drawing upon the concept of co-education. At Notre-Dame du Lac, we are convinced that learning a language at a young age, particularly through the teaching of a subject, provides an excellent springboard for success in later education and openness to the world. The educational approach at Notre Dame du Lac aims for personal fulfillment in one’s studies. Class sizes range from 15 to 20 students, allowing for an important place for accompaniment and follow-up of every student. The child, at the heart of his education, stays the principal guiding light in our pedagogy. Notre Dame du Lac Institute strives to be a fertile ground for many successful elementary academic experiences. The teachers are concerned with offering a framework and an organization of activities that favor autonomy to every student while at the same time, giving them the time to develop their first social interactions. The child entering the preschool will progressively become a student. From the age of 4 years, the most particular attention will be given to the handling of the pencil, to cursive handwriting, to the discovery of numeration, and to the control of spoken expression, which constitutes the fundamental base for a perfect mastery of the French language. A daily appropriation of the written language starts as well. This progressive skill building at the child’s rhythm continues to the age of 5 to ensure the foundation of a perfect acquisition of reading and writing at the cusp of elementary school. Elementary school accompanies their students in the mastery of the French language both written and spoken, towards autonomy in mathematical reasoning and practice of foreign languages. These foundations are an essential springboard for successful and fulfilling scholarly. From the age of 6, students structure their understanding through reading workshops as well as fun and challenging mathematical dispositions. The teachers offer methods that give real-life meaning to their learning. Evaluations are given at regular intervals to guide students’ scholarly highlighting their progression and lead to correct and individual follow-up. Information Science studies and complementary subjects are undebatable advantages in an opening towards a higher level of general knowledge. Each class nourishes, in a pleasurable manner, the year with cultural projects in phase with the program. Students gain competencies in autonomy and initiative in respect to humanistic culture on the path towards excellence hand in hand with our teachers. View full school

- The Institut International de Lancy is a modern school in an ever-changing world. We are a multicultural, diverse community where children can flourish and develop a love of learning, inspired by motivational teachers. Known for encouraging academic excellence, we strive to make students independent, autonomous learners through the use of 21st-century approaches to teaching and learning. We are united around the core values of mutual care and respect, shared with our founders, the Sisters of St Joseph of Lyon. Proud of our heritage, we are open to new ideas and innovation. In a forward-thinking school, we nurture communication, creativity, and critical thinking. We guide all learners through their schooling, encouraging compassion, multilingualism, and an acceptance of differences. We are committed to developing each individual to be the best person that they can be. This philosophy will be a prime focus and we will be doing all we can to make sure it grows and spreads through the whole school community. An international school with roots embedded in its Catholic origins, IIL upholds a liberal and cosmopolitan outlook, maintaining the fundamental values of respect and tolerance at its core. Within a uniformly French and English environment, IIL is dedicated to forming young people to be multi-lingual, articulate, independent thinkers with a strong sense of self-worth and integrity, and with an awareness of others and the world around them. Pupils are encouraged to develop a sensitivity to social and humanitarian commitment for which the school itself is an advocate and an example. True to the spirit which led its founders to open the school in 1903 under the name of Pensionnat Marie-Thérèse, our Catholic school offers an environment conducive to learning through initiatives, research, and the implementation of innovative ideas and resources where the individual is of prime importance and fosters a caring, receptive and supportive approach. Comprehensive curricula ensure students acquire a well-rounded education, from basic skills to the knowledge required to pass respected national and international diplomas. In complement to academic aims, teaching methods at IIL are designed to encourage students to develop their individuality and intellectual capacities so that they may face the world with confidence. Students and staff from across the world, from a multitude of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds, unite at the Institut International de Lancy to work and succeed together. Although not involved in the management of IIL, the APEIIL works closely with the school. It successfully fulfills its mission to bring parents together and facilitate communication and organizes events for both IIL children and their parents throughout the year. The APEIIL helps to create links and to facilitate the integration of families within the school community. Children and parents of over 80 different nationalities are encouraged to share their experiences and traditions. Parents are given several opportunities to meet, such as at the welcome get-together at the beginning of the term or the traditional New Year coffee morning. The APEIIL offers activities throughout the year to Primary and Secondary children and therefore complements the academic mission of the school. Various afternoon and evening parties are organized during term time to suit different age groups, both in the English and French sections: Spooky Party, Santa's visit, Leavers’ Ball, etc. Each year, children, parents, and staff are invited to meet at the Christmas market and the school fête (Kermesse), two highlights of the school year. In Nursery and Primary classes, the APEIIL oversees a network of class representatives who facilitate communication between parents. As a bilingual English-French school, we publish two newsletters regularly, one in French and one in English, keeping parents informed about school life and APEIIL activities. The Association can operate thanks to financial contributions from its members. The yearly subscription fee finances their activities and is filtered back into school in the form of resources and equipment such as books for the classroom, outdoor games, and benches at the school gate. Proceeds from certain events are donated to Catholic schools elsewhere in the world run by the Congregation of Sisters of Saint Joseph. View full school

- As a member of the Institut Sankt Joseph Community, We witness how our educational ideals are put into practice every day. It is my mission to make sure that each child has access to an academically challenging liberal arts education, which is composed of an ambitious and caring school environment that is grounded in professionalism, solidarity, and Catholic-humanistic ideals. In everyday teaching, we value sufficient time for dialogue, reflection, and thoughtfulness, also about existential and religious issues. It is our goal that every student’s intellectual, creative and spiritual development are developed together as they grow at our school. We offer a vibrant and unique international environment, with students representing over 50 countries worldwide which makes for a diverse student body – culturally, religiously, and socio-economically. An interactive process where children are included in open and trusting relationships, and whereby the teaching staff has the desire and skills necessary to help open up the world to every child. Institut Sankt Joseph was established November 17, 1858, by the St. Joseph Sisters Society, which governed the school until March of 1976. The school was started as an all girl´s academy and stayed that way until 1968 when boys were also admitted. The school’s main building was built in 1914-15, and in 1928 the building underwent a major expansion, wherein a physics and biology lab was added. The building was designed by architect Christian Mandrup-Poulsen, who also designed the sisters’ convent and Jeanne d’Arc School. An inner acquisition and processing system, where children process the influences that he /she meets through interaction with the outside world. The starting point is the child’s experience and prior learning. At Institut Sankt Joseph Copenhagen, we strive to bring the following formation ideas into reality: Every child shall be educated and formed in the values of community, democracy, and equal human dignity. Every child shall have an understanding and an insight into other religions, nationalities, languages, and cultures. Every child shall have self-awareness with a growing recognition of their strengths and values. Every child shall use their abilities for learning, creativity, and proficiency. Every child´s worldview and belief system shall be developed and made more mature. Every child will want to use himself for the benefit of other human beings and the world to create more freedom, justice, and peace. Every child shall have the ability and courage to make ethically founded choices, and know that choices have consequences. Every child shall leave the school with specific competencies, courage to take on life, and a desire for lifelong learning. Students from ISJ will be positive members of society by being polite and empathetic towards others. View full school

- Created by the Diputació de Barcelona in 1913, the Institut del Teater has more than a hundred years of history as a center dedicated to teaching, creating, researching, preserving, and disseminating the heritage of performing arts. During all these years, he has played a determining role in the modernization of the Catalan scene. The Institut del Teater's mission is to be a platform aimed at the continuous cultivation and renovation of the performing arts, especially the Catalan scene, updating and developing the functions of teaching, creation, research, conservation, and dissemination of heritage, always with an innovative will. The 2014-2017 Strategic Plan establishes a vision of the Institut del Teater to position the institution as a leader and referent in the teaching, research, and diffusion of Catalan performing arts nationally and internationally. In 1913, the Diputació de Barcelona created the Institut del Teatre, first known as the Catalan School of Dramatic Arts. It later sustained it for most of its history as a center dedicated to teaching, the investigation, the documentation, and the diffusion of the spectacle's arts. Throughout its long history, the Institut del Teater has become a point of reference in the training, documentation, and research of Europe's performing arts. The constant growth of the institution and the complexity of its management - derived mainly from the diverse legal and normative regulations that are applicable in one of the areas of its action - advised, in 1990, to constitute it as an autonomous body, which, also, allows it to streamline management and improve the use of resources. The Autonomous Agency of the Diputació de Barcelona Theater Institute is thus endowed with its legal personality and heritage, with the capacity to act necessary to fulfill its purposes. These purposes are: The regulated and non-regulated education of the performing arts. The production and organization of conferences, courses, conferences, festivals and exhibitions, and any other training and promotion activity in the various specialties of the performing arts. The activities of the edition, documentation, research, and investigation in the field are his own.
