AIIMS Jodhpur - All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India's Government, under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) to correct regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attain self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. PMSSY planned to set up six new AIIMS like institutions in underserved areas of the country. An Act of Parliament is establishing these institutions on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches and related fields, along with nursing and paramedical training to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the practice of personnel in all branches of health care activity. AIIMS Rishikesh - All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS, Rishikesh is one of the SIX AIIMS like apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). Intending to correct regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training, the PMSSY planned to set up six new AIIMS like institutions in underserved areas of the country. These institutions are being established by an Act of Parliament on the lines of the original All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, which imparts both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches and related fields and nursing and paramedical training. To bring together in one place, educational facilities of the highest order for the preparation of personnel in all branches of health care activity. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, came into existence as an institute of National Importance through an Act of parliament. The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012, was passed in the Lok Sabha on August 30, 2012, and in Rajya Sabha on September 4, 2012. This Act enabled the Rishikesh AIIMS to be an autonomous body on the lines of the existing AIIMS, Delhi. Mission The Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi intending to correct regional imbalances in the availability of affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare services and also to augment facilities for quality medical education creating a critical mass of doctors and conduct research in the country relevant to the area The primary mission is to establish a center of excellence in medical school, training, health care, and research imbued with scientific culture, compassion for the sick, and commitment to serve the underserved. Vision The institution will be expected to absorb talent, provide the highly trained medical and paramedical workforce for the country, and conduct research in national and regional health problems. The institute, outside the purview of the Medical Council of India, shall be allowed to experiment with innovations in medical education and serve as an advisory body for making government health policies According to Director, the main objectives are to create an excellent academic and educational milieu for providing a platform for the development of quality medical services, teaching, and research. AIIMS Patna - All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Patna is the vision of the Hon’ble ex-Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who decided to give the nation six regional AIIMS with the mandate to provide the most modern healthcare to the last man in the queue at an affordable cost.AIIMS Patna was created by the ordinance dated July 16th, 2012, and then the Act (Amendment), 2012, on July 2nd, 2013. Six new AIIMS have been created and taken care of by the PMSSY (Prime Minister Swasthya Suraksha Yojana). The work started in 2010 with construction in six packages by the Project Monitoring Unit of the MoHFW and is referred to as the AIIMS project. A Superintending Engineer did the project management at individual sites on behalf of the MoHFW, the DPR consultant, the project consultant, and the contractors. Recruitment of faculty for all six AIIMS was undertaken by the MoHFW being coordinated by AIIMS Patna from November 2011, which processed six thousand five hundred online applications for 546 posts in Six New AIIMS by September 30th 2012. The institute is also in the process of recruiting more faculty and starting new departments. Campus The Hospital is well developed now, catering to approximately 1500 outpatients per day, with each department having its own OPD block area, running 3 major state of the art semi-modular operation theaters, and two minor operation theaters, in all performing more than 250 surgeries per month. It runs round the clock laboratory and has world class radiology with CT, MRI, Biplane DSA, Digital mammography, digital radiography, ultrasound with color doppler facilities. The institute also has a telemedicine programme called Chhattisa, a community outreach programme which has conducted more than 100 health camps.   4. AIIMS Bhopal - All India Institute of Medical Sciences The AIIMS, New Delhi model, will be adopted and adapted. Unlike the Postgraduate Institutes, which lack the necessary departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, etc., the new AIIMS will have these departments as well as the super-specialty departments like neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, urology, endocrinology, etc. Also, departments of Accident & Emergency, Biostatistics, Medical Engineering, Hospital administration, Genetics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Telemedicine, Clinical Epidemiology, and Medical Education Cell, etc. are also planned. This institution should also provide an excellent opportunity to promote basic scientists and biotechnologists and studies in genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, allowing working nearby rich clinical material. A lot of effort would go into locating, enticing, appointing, and retaining talented faculty as it is the faculty that makes an institution great. Vision The Government of India has launched the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi with the objectives of i) correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable and reliable tertiary healthcare services; ii) augmenting facilities for quality medical education creating a critical mass of doctors and iii) researching the country relevant to the area. These institutions will be expected to absorb talent, provide the highly trained medical and paramedical workforce for the country, and conduct research in national and regional health problems. The institutes will be outside the purview of the Medical Council of India will be allowed to experiment with innovations in medical education and serve as advisory bodies for government health policies Library Central Library of AIIMS Bhopal which will be serving the varied needs of its readers efficiently. It is being planned to provide the online scientific as well as print issues of National and International journals of Medical Sciences, good volumes of books and sound reading place with the access to international libraries and major biomedical databases. World class library management systems like radiofrequency identification (RFID) system will be placed in the Central library of the AIIMS Bhopal. Hostels for men and women medical and nursing students are situated within the campus. The hostels have a running mess serving 4 meals a day. There is a common room on each floor which is fitted with television and has internet facility through wi-fi. Hostels are equipped with indoor games facilities.
