Our vision is to evangelize our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to see believers firmly established in the truth (2 Peter 1:12). We desire to speak the truth in love and to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all entrusted to the saints (Jude 3). We believe that God has given the Church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. This requires the local church to proclaim the Gospel in its locality and support missions worldwide.
At Faith Baptist Church, we believe the church is a living body, with every member having a part to play. God has uniquely gifted every believer, and we seek to provide opportunities for every believer's gifts to be fanned into flame as we participate in church life together.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church and is led by a plurality of elders who pastor the church. The Bible uses the terms "elders," "pastors," and "overseers" or "bishops" interchangeably. A full statement of our church's doctrinal position is available on request. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. In the original languages, the Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their ordinary grammatical-historical meaning.
