    Job Description Summary A postdoctoral position is open in the laboratory of Dr. Shahid Husain in the Storm Eye Institute in the Department of Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will conduct research in the areas of cellular and molecular biology of retinal ganglion cell (RGC) death in glaucoma and other ocular pathologies. The projects will be using physiological, Molecular Biology, and biochemical methods. The research projects will particularly focus on epigenetic and metabolic changes induced RGC death and neuroprotection strategies will be implemented to reduce axonal and RGC death.
