In this internal role, the EBP acts as the Finance single point of contact, collaborating closely with client-serving engagement teams to enable the successful delivery of engagements across the full engagement lifecycle, from opportunity creation to final record archiving. Please note: this is not a technical accounting role.   The opportunity As an Engagement Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting client-serving teams by ensuring the accurate and timely execution of all engagement lifecycle activities. The main components of this role are: Serving as the Finance single point of contact for Engagement Partners and Managers, offering guidance and overseeing all aspects of the Opportunity Engagement Lifecycle (OEL). Overseeing the completion of OEL tasks by delegating to Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery. Proactively managing financial and quality related risks across your engagement portfolio, intervening where needed to provide strategic advice to uplift the compliance and revenue stability of your portfolio. Ensure compliance with service line specific policies and parameters. Supporting the annual external audit process. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that contributes to profitable growth and high-quality client service.    Your key responsibilities  Manage a portfolio of client opportunities and engagements as the Finance single contact point for assigned Engagement Partners and Managers. Help establish EY Canada's pricing strategy for big deals/strategic pursuits, driving value-based pricing aligned with AI-enabled delivery, technology investment and evolving delivery model. Collaborate with deal coaches and act as a pricing advisor in shaping commercial narratives Guide account, engagement, and pursuit teams in pricing decisions, ensuring clarity between known vs. unknown AI related efficiencies and protecting margins while demonstrating value to clients. Partner with all services lines and Clients & Industries teams to bring consistency to pricing models, commercial structures, negotiation strategies, and GTM narratives. Partner with account, engagement, industry, sector leaders and teams to shape go-to-market strategy and articulate differentiated value propositions. Enhance pursuit performance using data-driven insights, deal economics, and financial analysis to inform commercial decisions. Foster commercial excellence across teams through coaching, collaboration with Global and Super Region Sales and Commercial Excellence teams and alignment with EY’s transformation and GTM priorities. Create pricing insights tools that can be leveraged across the firm Become an expert in all existing pricing tools (Regionally and Globally) Train additional resources in pricing best practices, tools and technology Develop a network across Super Regions to continually improve our pricing practices   Skills and attributes for success: Minimum  8-12 years of experience in professional services, consulting, or strategic sales. Experience in commercial activities, such as go-to-market strategy, pricing and sales  Strong analytical skills, financial analysis and forecasting, strategic thinking, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.  Understanding of engagement lifecycle management, risk assessment, and the ability to interact with senior management levels.  Experience working with senior stakeholders, specifically top team executives. Strong facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
