Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. This role is focused on advising the Private Equity sector. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people. Your key responsibilities As a Director with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Deal Technology practice, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing IT focused projects across sectors. You’ll work day to day with investment teams, operating partners, and C-Suite executives at middle market Portfolio companies. You will be developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience in different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, value creation). Having a commercial mindset is key to this role. To Qualify for the Role, You Should Have A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, data analytics or a related field. At least five years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, transaction advisory, corporate finance, financial analysis, business transformation, investment analysis or commercial advisory. Experience managing workstreams, supervising junior team members and working directly with clients. Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability. Understanding of the Malawi business environment and regional market dynamics. Ideally, You Will Also Have Experience in more than one area such as strategy, due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, restructuring, performance improvement or transformation. Exposure to sectors relevant to Malawi, such as financial services, agriculture, consumer products, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, development sector or public sector. A relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CFA, CIMA, CA or equivalent. Experience working with regional or cross-border teams.
