MSU-IIT is a state university where reliable integration exists between different local religions and cultures. Chancellor Sukarno D. Tanggol leads the University, DPA, supported by different offices and governed by the MSU System's Board of Regents. We admit about 3,000 first-year students a year and are continually committed to being a convergence zone for students from different cultures and traditions. We offer up to 54 graduate programs. These programs empower the students and professionals to explore varied avenues in the pursuit of national development. The MSU System Admission and Scholarship Examination are conducted annually every September for incoming first-year students. Here you will find the results and guidelines/requirements for the exam. Located in the heart of Iligan City, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology has significantly contributed to the development of technology for the city through its ICT office projects and research.
MSU-IIT offers excellent experience and life inside the campus. The University has a wide variety of clubs and associations to discover different events and activities to keep the campus lively. The University encourages every student to express their creativity both in and out of the classroom. They can share their works in the university art galleries and a variety of exhibition spaces on campus. Be part and have fun by being a member of the athletics club in MSU-it. Different clubs with one goal in mind – be the champion. The student organizations here at MSU-IIT provide educational and social functions that enable students to develop their management, leadership, communication, and social skills. Every year, the University holds different activities and events to celebrate and commemorate.MSU-IIT offers the quality education needed by the students to meet the competitive global standards. The University has nine degree-granting schools and colleges in addition to the high school and the graduate's study, which they could choose to suit their talents and passion.
We offer a wide range of programs that will inspire and challenge you while preparing you for careers or graduate study in your chosen field. The Office of Registrar maintains student academic records, the academic calendar, and course offerings. MSU-IIT is adopting new ways of using online technologies to enhance the educational experience and improve education quality. There is a wide variety of facilities on the campus designed to enrich both its students and constituents' educational and functional experience.
The University will initiate and undertake projects and studies which will bear on the workforce needs, the industrial growth of Iligan, and other development projects, including those needed by the specific industries and environs (MSU Charter: R.A. 5385). The MSU-IIT researchers include faculty members, visiting scholars, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate and undergraduate students. They collaborate with colleagues across the University, at affiliated institutions, and other research institutions.
Currently, for the advancement of the University, the researchers of the Institute provide vast knowledge, insights, and solutions in the seven major areas for research. Drawn from the University's different departments, the professors generate the knowledge and innovations in creating research for the University's sole development. The students will contribute to the University's goal to promote, generate, enhance, and develop the Institute's research. MSU-IIT produces two significant publications devoted to academic subjects' scholarly discussion and as an outlet for researchers in the Asia Pacific regions. MSU-IIT has seven individual libraries, each with a world-class collection of books, journals, films, maps, databases.
