      1. Since the pioneering spirit of early missionaries in Malaysia in 1891, Methodist Education has shaped the lives of thousands of students for 125 years. Our Wesley Methodist Schools (WMS) tradition gives the school a special character, that stands apart from the other school models: the WMS tradition of Christian values, service to the community, and all-around quality education. Wesley Methodist School has become a name synonymous with producing the A.C.E. student, Academically excellent children, trained in Character values, and pursues Extra-curricular achievements. This philosophy lies at the heart of our mission to help our students reach their full potential. The school's fundamental philosophy is: We believe that each student is made in the image of God, endowed with inherent dignity, and thus worthy of love, respect, and acceptance. We believe that each student is a unique individual endowed with distinctive character, aptitudes, and abilities. We believe in the nurture and development of the whole person – the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social – to his or her fullest potential. We recognize that the teacher plays a crucial role in fulfilling our Vision and Mission. We believe that passion for teaching, love for young people, moral character, professional competency, and good communication skills are critical prerequisites. Further, we believe that teachers of the Christian faith can best impact students through their godly character and lifestyle based on a vital personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that the school should provide a wholesome and non-threatening environment, where the student feels welcomed, secure, and happy, and which promotes individual learning, growing, thinking, as well as interpersonal skills and respect for others in the context of a multi-ethnic and multi-religious community. We recognize that the school should not replace but complement the home in the responsibility and task of nurturing training, and socialization of the young person. We believe that the school should impart the highest and noblest of human knowledge to the student. Further, we believe that educational excellence goes beyond academic results to encompass the meaningful learning of the subject matter. The curriculum should encourage critical and creative thinking, instill an appreciation of the sciences, arts, and culture, and promote character formation and responsible citizenship. At the same time, attention should also be given to the informal curriculum and other forms of extra-curricular activities. At WMS Penang (International) we follow an integrated curriculum that places emphasis on academic excellence and focuses on the development of the whole child addressing social, physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and academic needs for learners from age 4 to 16. WMS Penang (International) adopts the internationally recognized British Cambridge curriculum for Primary School Year 1 to Year 6 and Secondary School Year 7 to Year 11, leading to the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E.) and A-Levels in Year 12 to Year 13. Students sit for the externally assessed Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) examinations: Cambridge Primary Checkpoint in Year 6, Cambridge Secondary 1 Checkpoint in Year 9, and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Year 11 and Cambridge International A-Levels. 2. Sekolah Methodist Wesley or Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) was originally known as Kolej Methodist Sentul Campus. The Presidential Task Force set up by the Methodist Church in Malaysia in 1976, recommended that the character of Methodist Private Schools, which had provided a second chance for dropouts from the government system, be transformed, to provide quality education. The College made its debut in January 1983 offering places for students from Form 1 to Form 5. Simultaneously GCE A-Level classes in Science and Arts were introduced. There were also the students of Methodist High School to be phased out. It was an arduous task coordinating three different types of the curriculum under one roof with a mixed bag of teachers and limited resources. Its evolution into what it is today was a slow process. As early as 2003, noticing the potential and enthusiasm in the young students, the Principal was inspired to embark on yet another building project to provide the children with better facilities. After much discussion and planning, the Management Board, with the blessings of Bishop Datuk the Council of Education, decided to go ahead with this project to put up a five storey block with the best possible facilities that are expected in a top-notch private secondary school to provide a conducive and spacious environment for the students to maximize their potential. This building project (a five storey block) comprising classrooms, Science Labs, Computer Labs, Staff Rooms, a Conference Room, Administration Office, Sick Bay, and a large Multipurpose Hall with Elevator Service was started in 2005. The school is one of the most sought-after Private Secondary Day Schools in the country, with hundreds of aspiring students being turned away each year because of lack of places. Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) takes pride in providing a well-balanced all-around education with a strong emphasis on character development based on good moral values, culminating in academic excellence with a high standard of discipline. For Wesley Methodist School, with these two dynamic, experienced, and knowledgeable educationists at the helm, the best is yet to be. We believe that each student is made in the image of God, endowed with inherent dignity, and thus worthy of love, respect, and acceptance. 3. Wesley School began in 1971 with Marcia Kirby coming to teach the four children of Dale and Marian Neff. Classes were held in their home. They called it the OMS Guided Learning Center. The following year a house was rented on Jl. Baluran and the other ex-pat children were invited to join. The enrollment increased and diversified with the admission of a business family in 1975. The first non-English speaking children were accepted in 1980. Wesley International School’s vision is articulated best through the “Expected School-wide Learning Results” (also known as the ESLR’s). We are raising Christians, developing communicators, educating thinkers, nurturing lifetime learners, and shaping citizens of the world. Providing a Christ-centered education to impact the world.” Our mission at Wesley International School is to provide students with a Christ-centered education: one that inspires them to love God and live a Godly life, that instills a biblical worldview and produces academic excellence — an education that will prepare our students to impact and bless their world with knowledge, insight, action, and love. Wesley International School (WIS), as a Christian organization, subscribes to the following Statement of Faith: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth to die for our sins. (Jn. 5:18 Mk. 10:45 1 Cor. 15:3) We believe in the necessity of being born again by the Spirit of God by receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. (Jn. 3:1-21) We believe that growth in the Christian life depends upon fellowship with God through the Bible, prayer, and service. (Acts 2:42-47) We believe that the Bible is the only Word of God. It is our authoritative guide for accurately understanding God, his world, and our practical guide in life’s various situations. (2 Tim. 3:16-17) e. We believe in the urgency of the Great Commission as described in scripture. (Mt.28:18-20 Jn. 4:35 Lk. 14:23 2 Cor. 5:11) We believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. (Gen. 1, Jn. 1:1-3, Col. 1:16-17). View full school

      5. Wesley College is a Perth school home to approximately 1,300 students from pre-kindergarten to Year 12, including 160 boarders. The College is co-educational up to Year 6, then boys-only to Year 12, with a unique structure incorporating a middle school for the adolescent years. Although considered an elite private school, Wesley remains true to its founding egalitarian principles. The College’s iconic campus is in a stunning location on the Swan River banks, overlooking the City of Perth. In Junior School and up to Year 6, we embrace the philosophy that co-education is essential for establishing social and emotional building blocks. Fundamental literacy and numeracy skills are explicitly taught, balanced with inquiry-based units to foster creativity and higher-order thinking. Junior School students at Wesley College have access to (and responsibility for) a thriving sustainability garden and, soon, a nature playground to contribute to students’ gross motor skills. Wesley College’s unique structure incorporates a middle school for the adolescent years (Year 5 to 8), promoting self-confidence and a growing sense of responsibility, with a stimulating and rigorous academic program that includes some flexibility. When students transition to senior school (Year 9 to 12), various WACE and VET programs are available, taught by specialist teachers. Year 12 WACE results consistently demonstrate a strong academic culture and drive for every boy to reach his excellence level. A Wesley education is focused on the whole child—head, heart, and hands. Our overarching aim is to support the development of balanced and well-adjusted young men, and women equipped to contribute and thrive, both locally and globally. We believe that every student has powerful capabilities, skills, and talents. Our goal is to support them in activating this potential in order to create their future. A burgeoning body of literature tells us that a teacher’s teaching is the most influential school-based variable in improving student learning and achievement. At the same time, student learning and achievement are influenced primarily by many factors beyond a school’s sphere of influence (such as students’ abilities, socioeconomic advantage, parents’ education, and peers); what each teacher does in their classroom matters the learning of their students. Teachers and their teaching make a real difference. We often do not remember what our favorite teacher, coach, or mentor said to us, but we always remember how they made us feel. This makes Wesley a ‘special’ place with an overwhelming sense of connection, engagement, and positive and meaningful relationships. At Wesley, we focus on a holistic education that emphasizes the development of the well-balanced man or woman who is empowered and wants to go out into the world and make a positive difference. There are many points of difference at Wesley that contribute to making this a reality for our students, such as: Our Middle School structure (Years 5 to ? supporting students during adolescent years Our Junior School teaching philosophy is a balance of inquiry, play-based learning as well as direct instruction and mastery learning A unique geographical advantage that adds a village feel to the College Our Katitjin Program (a one-term off-campus immersion and experiential program) for Year 8 students Our focus on service, both in the curriculum as well as outside the classroom Our cheerful, solution-focused philosophy for pastoral care The co-educational nature of the primary years, up to Year 6 Our breadth of course offerings in the Senior School years Our focus on the pursuit of excellence, to aim for your personal best every day A co-curricular program that has tremendous depth and breadth in all aspects of the arts, sport, culture, and service service Our Indigenous program Our proactive social and emotional life skills curriculum developed right through from Pre-kindergarten to Year 12. We see it as our responsibility to provide numerous opportunities and programs for all community members to find meaning, enjoyment, and a sense of belonging and connection. A college based on Christian and Uniting Church beliefs and principles provides a beautiful foundation for the values and moral code that guides the community by changing societal values and norms. Good teaching and learning are at the forefront of all that we do. It is sacred and at the core of collective thinking and resourcing. Every individual in the College has the right to learn and grow. Every lesson, every experience should be an opportunity to learn and develop, both inside and outside the classroom. The motto, Audendo Atque Agendo ‘By daring and by doing,’ matches the student culture – that we allow our students to take calculated risks and learn from the outcomes.

And yet, if we revisit the Prospectus and Annual Report for Wesley College Melbourne 1866, we find that the original educational objectives of Binks’ day still have great resonance: “The object of this Institution is to provide a Classical and General Education of the highest order, such as to fit a young gentleman for mercantile life, for the public service, and matriculation in the University.”Later, “The College will be conducted upon the principles of the Wesleyan Church, the constant aim being to give a liberal and Christian education.” Our Junior Schools are based on small homerooms, with specialist prior years teachers who know their students well. The Junior School includes Early Learning programs for three and four-year-olds, focusing on the growth of the developing child. Students learn within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), complemented by Reggio Emilia principles – an approach to education that views children as active learners who acquire knowledge through inquiry-based learning. The Programme is focused on building our students’ conceptual understanding and skills to excel in their learning and for their personal growth and understanding of the world. Middle School provides opportunities for young adolescents to learn and grow to respect and acknowledge this critical phase of their lives. The focus of the Primary Years Programme continues through Years 5 and 6. This leads naturally into our unique middle-year curriculum (Years 7–9), which provides the perfect broad pathway to senior studies. The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) builds on the knowledge and skills developed through the IB PYP, emphasizing students’ spiritual, emotional, and social growth to support well-rounded individuals. Academic subjects focus on fundamental knowledge, skills, and understanding and provide students with opportunities to express their ideas and follow the questions raised by their intellectual curiosity. Senior School students are engaged in diverse learning experiences to ensure they develop to their fullest potential as knowledgeable, skilled, and productive individuals. The curriculum focuses on providing the students with the information and experiences they need to make informed choices about their future. Often this will involve exploring different subjects and ideas, with guidance from staff and our experienced careers counselors. In Year 10, students study a core group of subjects that give a solid grounding in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and Physical and Health Education, combined with a variety of elective subjects. In Years 11 and 12, students can tailor their studies to more closely suit their specific interests. At Wesley, we educate the whole person to have multiple learning opportunities both in and outside the classroom. One of the highlights of a Wesley College education is the opportunity to collaborate with a faculty mentor on undergraduate research. No matter your major, our faculty is ready to get you engaged early in your studies. These collaborations often present at conferences, Scholars Day, or co-publishing, positioning you well for graduate school or careers. In fall 2014, we began implementing a new core curriculum. The program is designed to give you the skills, knowledge, and dispositions to succeed at Wesley and beyond. In the first level, you will learn essential skills that will be developed over your four years. In the second level, you take integrative courses in the liberal arts. At the third level, you will study an interdisciplinary "concentration" on values like ethical living or understanding diversity. The Office of Science / Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and (WDTS) is pleased to announce that it accepts applications to its Summer Term internship/fellowship programs. These programs, which offer direct engagement in scientific research and technology featuring specialized instrumentation large-scale, multidisciplinary efforts or scientific user facilities, are available for undergraduate students enrolled at community colleges and four-year institutions and for visiting faculty. Selected students or faculty participate at one of 17 DOE Laboratories/Facilities, receive stipends, and qualify for travel and housing assistance. Wesley College is committed to helping students participate in undergraduate research both on campus and at other institutions. At the undergraduate level, we are committed to the liberal arts tradition. The undergraduate programs of study are embedded within the broader context of a Core Curriculum. The Core framework provides students a breadth of knowledge to function in a diverse and ever-changing world. In contrast, the focus of study in a major provides a depth of knowledge needed to pursue careers and or graduate education. The small college atmosphere offers many benefits to students. Students learn with and from faculty who are experts in their fields, facilitating opportunities to be mentored and challenged individuals in the education process. Our commitment to student-centered learning means students "learn to do" and "learn while doing" as guided by faculty. The Honors Program is designed for students with high academic ability and aspirations. Here courses are designed to provide enriched academic experiences consistent with abilities and interests. Numerous internship opportunities in Delaware's capital city and along the mid-Atlantic corridor provide real-life problem-solving experiences to apply knowledge. The graduate curriculum in each of the four areas is designed to give students a solid foundation in the core disciplines and the expertise to perform as leaders. Each program has a specific entrance and graduation requirements. Faculty at Wesley College is committed to excellence in their fields of study. Small class size gives students and faculty time for the in-depth examination and processing required for the advanced-level study. Students are guided in classroom studies and their fieldwork. This practical, small group interaction allows students to test their skills and receive feedback to evaluate their progress and set continued learning goals. Wesley College participates in Federal and state financial aid programs as well as offering college scholarships. We believe that financial roadblocks should not stop anyone from capturing their dreams. The College offers several institutional grants and scholarships to eligible applicants. At Wesley College, students with documented disabilities can gain equal access to all aspects of academic life. The disability Support Services seeks to assist Wesley students with disabilities in receiving reasonable accommodations in academic programs and equal access to all aspects of academic life. This goal reflects the mission of Wesley College in striving to realize a holistic campus environment of caring, tolerance, and inclusiveness for all people, no matter what their ability. In 1866, a very young boy called Frederick Binks walked into the newly built Wesley College on St Kilda Road and made history by becoming our first pupil. Binks spent several lonely nights in the boarding house until other boys started arriving a few days later. He could never have imagined the Wesley College, which we know today – the leading and innovative, co-educational-educational, multi-campus institution with a student population of more than 3,150. 12. View full school

      14. Education at the Theological Faculty of the John Wesley Theological College focuses on two targets: a) training students who have a calling to become pastors, spiritual and catechetical ministers within the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship, the church that maintains our institute b) training theologians and pastors who wish to serve God's word in other churches. (Our students also have the opportunity to study denominational subjects at accredited institutions of higher education maintained by other churches.). The teaching curricula enable the students to get acquainted with the most important issues of Christian faith and tradition, the methodology of the theory and education of religion, the related conceptual and scientific system, and the modes of disseminating this knowledge. They also learn the traditions of the Hungarian Evangelical Fellowship, respectively, of their denomination. They also have the opportunity to learn the unique knowledge and skills of their outstanding educational service and general knowledge of cultural and humane studies. It follows from the testimonial character of Christianity and the Wesleyan tradition that theological studies cannot be limited to theoretical knowledge and impart the symbolical and theoretical system of values of the Gospel either. A likewise important component of religious and theological identity and competence is the integration of knowledge at the highest personal level. The catechetical minister and the pedagogue do not merely "teach," but they also influence the formation of the students' morality and world-view by their personality, communication, exemplary deeds, and authentic experience of faith. Our teaching and research are primarily devoted to the pursuit of the values that the Script teaches the man who carries the glory and semblance of the Lord. This implies that we stress the value of social work and charity, the respectful and humanistic dialogue with other denominations, faiths, and convictions. As a consequence of our theological vision, we are primarily devoted to the Jewish-Christian brotherhood's idea and the conviction that the Jewish-Christian relationship cannot be hostile. We also pay special attention to the various minorities, especially the Romani people and the socially most marginalized brothers. We wish to deepen the Samaritan attitude in our students as God's responsibility towards the social outcast. The risk of civilizational and natural catastrophes keeps growing in our age. This fact has the consequence that social problems are hitting individual people are worsening both in space and in time and quality. There are always people in society ~~> depending on site and time, which, due to circumstances or their properties, cannot meet society's expectations. They live and suffer in a lack of safety and captivity of risk. Therefore they need help. Environmental safety work must be carried out following, applying, and critically evaluating exact, scientifically established professional rules. Laws, rules, systems of risk, and safety must be known. Risk originating from environmental effects and objective professional processes and techniques, scientifically elaborated for the judgment of desirable and undesirable consequences of safety measures, must equally be known. With education on the Course of Environmental Studies, our College wants to teach experts who have up-to-date knowledge and integrate the results of natural and human sciences in their practical work. Based on this grounding, they will contribute to the efficient solution of practical, planning, analyzing, problem exposing, decision-supporting, controlling, researching, and teaching tasks in connection with environmental protection, sustainable development, sustainable safety, environmental conflict handling, that is, environmental safety, furthermore to the modern and well-established handling of environmental problems appearing on the most different areas. The aim of environment safety education is training that prepares for creative planning and operative work resting on a uniform, up-to-date environmental attitude, and high-level social knowledge and practice, clarifying and qualifying for the particular tasks of the professional fields. The graduated experts participate both directly and indirectly in the exploration and handling of social problems and their co-ordination with environment safety tasks, i.e., they contribute to the improvement of the social and environmental condition, safety feeling, safety awareness of the population, furthermore to the more efficient preservation, protection, development of natural values, to human and environmental rehabilitation moreover, to the realization of rational environment management resting on the world of ideas of sustainable safety, considering social elements as well. 16. (Gen. 1, Jn. 1:1-3, Col. 1:16-17).
      18. Founded in 1873 as a preparatory school, Wesley College has a covenant relationship with the United Methodist Church. The College offers 30 bachelor's, four associates, and master's degrees in nursing, occupational therapy, education, business administration, and environmental science in a multi-denominational, multi-cultural campus setting. Most of the College's 1,500 students come from the Middle Atlantic region. The majority of full-time students enroll directly from high school, but the College does provide programs for nontraditional students. Wesley attracts students interested in a personal approach to learning, with a 15:1 student to faculty ratio. Wesley College is a United Methodist institution of higher education that seeks to be among the finest student-centered learning communities in the liberal arts tradition. Consistent with our Methodist heritage, the College affirms meaning and purpose in life through justice, compassion, inclusion, and social responsibility that enhance community life and respect for the environment. Wesley College exists to liberate and empower its students with the knowledge, skills, ethical attitudes, and capacity for critical thinking to achieve personal and professional goals and contribute to the local and global society.
