      1. At present, the IACE of VSTU includes 29 departments, four territorially non-separated faculties, 27 specialized scientific-and-industrial laboratories, and workshops. A sizeable informational library complex is at the disposal of students and the teaching staff. The main areas of IACE of VSTU activities cover the training of highly-qualified engineering professionals: architects, engineers, ecologists, economists. At present, more than 8000 students are taught various forms of study. The educational process is conducted in 31 specialties, in 14 fields of Bachelor's Programme and four fields of study of the Master's Programme. The Institute prepares postgraduate students in 30 specialties (7 branches of science), doctoral candidates in 7 specialties 3 Dissertation Councils for Doctor of Science and Candidate of Science Degrees in 9 specialties function at the University. The IACE of VSTU promotes international activity aimed at preparing highly qualified specialists with internationally acknowledged diplomas, improving the University's status, and enhancing its prestige in the Russian and international market of educational services. The stated goals are achieved by extending international relations with foreign institutions of higher education. Extensive cooperation of IACE of VSTU with various universities allows increasing the mobility of students and professors. Thus, in 2012 and 2013, more than 70 students and postgraduate students and more than 50 lecturers had an opportunity to participate in conferences, master-classes, and workshops abroad. At the IACE of VSTU, students could attend lectures and master-classes of foreign lecturers. In 2012 and 2013, five and ten professors held lectures and master-classes at the Institute. Students, postgraduate students, and faculty of the IACE of VSTU actively participate in international scholarship contests for study and research placements. In 2013 two scholarships for study and research placement in Germany were won within the DAAD scholarships program framework alone. The Institute staff members regularly participate in various international conferences: in 2012 and 2013, more than 180 lecturers took part in international conferences. The Institute students and faculty have a unique opportunity to take the DSH examination at the IACE of VSTU for free. Every year (at the end of August — the beginning of September) docent from the University of Applied Sciences of Cologne (Germany) holds an intensive preparation course and conducts this examination for the certificate of German as a foreign language. IACE of VSTU is the only University in Volgograd which holds such an examination. For over 20 years, the IACE of VSTU has been cooperating with Michigan State University (USA). The Volgograd branch of the Michigan Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) was established at the SAUCE. The students regularly participate in the Russian Student Paper Competition held by the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Michigan Section, and win prizes. Our students got prize-winning places in 2012 as well as in 2013. In 1990 Volgograd State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering started training international students. Since that time, students from many countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Morocco, India, Yemen, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Congo, Bangladesh, Palestine, Nepal, Iraq, Syria, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mozambique, Lebanon, as well as from Abkhazia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, South Ossetia, and others got Diplomas of higher education here. Suppose in the 2013-2014 academic year, young people from Nigeria were admitted to the Faculty of Pre-University Education in the 2014-2015 academic year. In that case, foreign citizens from Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Yemen are studying at the Faculty of Pre-University Education. At present, about 140 international students from 29 countries study at the IACE of VSTU in various forms of study. In 2005, to enhance academic mobility and strengthen alumni's competitive abilities in the labor market of highly qualified specialists, the VSUACE was one of the first universities in Russia and the first one in Volgograd, which allowed its students to get European Diploma Supplement. Due to the increase of academic and labor mobility, this service's demand is growing from year to year. An important area of international cooperation is the implementation of target projects of the European Union. In 2012 the University took part in preparing and submitting the project application for participating in Tempus IV: «Development of Master Courses in Rescue Engineering,» and in 2013, the University prepared three project applications for Tempus IV: «Multidisciplinary University Education for Protection, Conservation and Exploitation of Cultural Heritage in Partner Countries - CHeriED,» «Development and Implementation of Master Courses in Rescue Engineering in RF (MARENGO),» Master Programme in «Construction Management in Russian Universities» (MaBaRu) with the coordinator-universities from Germany and Serbia, as well as the project application for participation in «LLP Erasmus OIKOnet – a global multidisciplinary network on housing» within the framework of a consortium with the coordinator-university from Spain. The University has got the financing for the LLP Erasmus OIKOnet project from the European Union.
      2. Volvo is a University, which is well-known in the country and abroad for the quality of education, high scientific potential, innovative projects, active social position. Volgograd is located in the south-east of the European part of Russia. It is the administrative Center of the Volgograd Region. The city was founded in 1589 and originally was called Tsaritsyn (from 1589 till 1925). From 1925 till 1961, it was known as Stalingrad. According to the population census held in 2010, the number of inhabitants in 2010 reached 1 million and 21 thousand people. Volgograd is one of the most extensive Russian cities. The city length along the Volga River is about 100 km. Within the city, there is a bridge across the Volga called "dancing bridge." There is also a passage adjacent to the northern urban fringe, which runs along the dam of the Volzhsky Hydropower Station. It connects Volgograd with a satellite town Volzhsky and is located in the territorial subordination of the latter. On the territory of Krasnoarmeysky District on the south of Volgograd begins Volga-Don Shipping Canal named after Lenin – a part of the united deep-water transport system of the European part of Russia. There are many historical sites in Volgograd – buildings, streets, squares related to the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. They are visual symbols of our fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfather's glorious combat and labor deeds. Test of Russian as a Foreign Language for foreign citizens who wish to acquire Russian citizenship is regularly conducted at Volgograd State University. Volvo holds this test under the cooperation agreement between VolSU and the Center of excellence testing of foreign nationals in the Russian language. Volgograd State University (VolSU) is famous for the quality of education, high scientific potential, innovative projects, and active social position. Volvo today represents modern educational technologies, educational programs of different levels, dissertation councils where candidate and doctor dissertations are defended, first-class professors – doctor and candidate of sciences, representatives of the economy's real sectors. VolSU cooperates with 54 partners from CIS countries, Europe, Asia, and America. University students are actively involved in academic exchange programs and join international projects.VolSU treasures its history, has its symbols (a flag, hymn, University's coat of arms), creates its traditions. Holdings of our Museums contain unique artifacts used in the educational and scientific work. On May 24 – the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture – we celebrate the Day of Volgograd State University.
      3. The University started as Stalingrad Medical Institute, founded in 1935. In 1993 it got the status of the Academy, and in 2003 it was granted the status of the University. The University is currently headed by the prominent Russian scientist, Academician of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir I. Petrov. The Volgograd State Medical University is an active participant in several international projects promoting medical research and clinical practice. This accounts for a genuine interest in the University's activities on government officials of various countries. It has recently been visited by the USA, Malaysia, India, the People's Republic of China, Brunei, Bangladesh, etc., top officials of Medical and Dental Councils of different countries. The Volgograd State Medical University has built up relationships with several foreign universities - the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (USA), Albert Ludwigs Universitaet (Freiburg, Germany), Martin-Luther Halle-Wittenberg Universitaet (Germany), Belgian, French, Chinese universities, etc. This collaboration has fostered medical science in family medicine, poison control, family planning, reproductive health, arterial hypertension, epidemiology, tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, pharmacology, pharmacy, etc. One of the latest developments in the newly set up Russian-American Family Practice Clinic, which is a unique clinic of this type in the whole of the south of Russia. The University has been collaborating with the World Federation for Medical Education, with the World Health Organisation (WHO), with UNESCO, with the British Council, with the United States Agency for International Development, with the American International Health Alliance, and participating in a wide range of joint international research projects. The Volgograd State Medical University has given rise to several research and methodological schools and centers. They are the Volgograd Branch of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences doing advanced research in pharmacology, Research Institute of Rheumatology, the Regional Cardiology Centre, the Regional Urology Centre, etc. The University has attracted highly qualified staff with experience of teaching in many regions of the world. Once at the University, many staff has continued to widen their experience by directing short courses or undertaking longer сourses overseas. Nowadays, the University's teaching staff number 763 highly qualified professors and instructors with 11 academicians, 96 professors, and 401 associate professors. Most of them have Ph. D.s or more advanced degrees. Sixty-six departments of the University run the academic programs. At present, about 5000 citizens of Russia and countries of the former Soviet Union and 900 international students from Asia, Africa, Latin, and South America, Germany, and Arab countries attend the University. Nowadays, the University ranks very high among the medical schools of the Russian Federation. Many university scientists are world-famous due to their significant contribution to the theory and practice of medicine. The University has been training international students since 1962. Students from 113 states of the former Soviet Union, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa have studied at our University. Over this period, 3000 physicians, dentists, pediatricians, and pharmacists have been trained in foreign countries. Since 2000 the Volgograd State Medical University has got an opportunity to teach international students the English language.

The Mission of Volgograd State Technical University is the preparation of harmoniously cultured, able to meet competition, and professionally responsible specialists oriented on perspective domestic and world market requirements with basing on the domestic higher school traditions, utilizing innovations in the sphere of science and education, providing for the unity of scientific and educational activities. VSTU is the leading regional University, which ranks among the best institutions in the number of qualified specialists in the Volgograd region, the South of Russia, and some foreign countries. University obtains a well-developed infrastructure, ensures a high professional level, and influences students' forming of social qualities for their successful integration in the international economy. According to the University's strategy, there was founded research, and education industrial complex (cluster) focused on well-qualified training specialists for its high-tech sectors. Transformations in the sphere of higher education of the Russian Federation were affected and realized in VSTU as a multilevel system of educational programs, modern forms of academic activity organization, quality control, adequate material, and technical support. A favorable social environment has been created in a large team of employees and students. Most of them share cultural and ethical values, keep and develop the tradition of the polytechnic school. VSTU is committed to the principles of the Bologna Declaration. The international activity of Volgograd State Technical University is based on educational and research cooperation with universities and organizations from abroad following agreements and contracts. The key partners of the University are the University of Leuven (Belgium), Leibnitz University of Hannover (Germany), TUBAF (Germany), Université du Maine (France), University of West Bohemia (Czech Republic), Waseda University (Japon), companies "Porta Capena (Belgium), "BBEngineering" (Germany), "Bangalore Integrated System Solutions (P) Ltd" (India), CAMERON (USA). The University chairs actively participate in project contests in programs of Erasmus Mundus, TEMPUS, DAAD, international contests of RFBR, FP7, Wisby, Grant of President of the RF for studying abroad, grants of programs "Fulbrigright" and "Open world" (USA). Implementing EU "TEMPUS" projects helped create new educational programs in information technologies, chemical technology, ecology, create a Center of self-tuition of English and German languages, and a Center of quality evaluation of educational programs. Our University pays excellent attention to fundamental and applied research and the development of priority areas of science, technology, and technological progress and the output of science-driven products. VSTU has a dynamically developing school of metallurgists, chemists, mechanical engineers, material engineers, welders, instrumentation engineers, and high-level developing science, highly-qualified specialists training. Focus on research determines further innovative development of VSTU.

The city length along the Volga River is about 100 km. Within the city, there is a bridge across the Volga called "dancing bridge." There is also a passage adjacent to the northern urban fringe, which runs along the dam of the Volzhsky Hydropower Station. It connects Volgograd with a satellite town Volzhsky and is located in the territorial subordination of the latter. On the territory of Krasnoarmeysky District on the south of Volgograd begins Volga-Don Shipping Canal named after Lenin – a part of the united deep-water transport system of the European part of Russia. There are many historical sites in Volgograd – buildings, streets, squares related to the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. They are visual symbols of our fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfather's glorious combat and labor deeds. Test of Russian as a Foreign Language for foreign citizens who wish to acquire Russian citizenship is regularly conducted at Volgograd State University. Volvo holds this test under the cooperation agreement between VolSU and the Center of excellence testing of foreign nationals in the Russian language. Volgograd State University (VolSU) is famous for the quality of education, high scientific potential, innovative projects, and active social position. VSTU is the leading regional University, which ranks among the best institutions in the number of qualified specialists in the Volgograd region, the South of Russia, and some foreign countries.       8. The University started as Stalingrad Medical Institute, founded in 1935. In 1993 it got the status of the Academy, and in 2003 it was granted the status of the University. The University is currently headed by the prominent Russian scientist, Academician of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir I. Petrov. The Volgograd State Medical University is an active participant in several international projects promoting medical research and clinical practice. This accounts for a genuine interest in the University's activities on government officials of various countries. It has recently been visited by the USA, Malaysia, India, the People's Republic of China, Brunei, Bangladesh, etc., top officials of Medical and Dental Councils of different countries. The Volgograd State Medical University has built up relationships with several foreign universities - the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (USA), Albert Ludwigs Universitaet (Freiburg, Germany), Martin-Luther Halle-Wittenberg Universitaet (Germany), Belgian, French, Chinese universities, etc. This collaboration has fostered medical science in family medicine, poison control, family planning, reproductive health, arterial hypertension, epidemiology, tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, pharmacology, pharmacy, etc. One of the latest developments in the newly set up Russian-American Family Practice Clinic, which is a unique clinic of this type in the whole of the south of Russia. The University has been collaborating with the World Federation for Medical Education, with the World Health Organisation (WHO), with UNESCO, with the British Council, with the United States Agency for International Development, with the American International Health Alliance, and participating in a wide range of joint international research projects. The Volgograd State Medical University has given rise to several research and methodological schools and centers. They are the Volgograd Branch of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences doing advanced research in pharmacology, Research Institute of Rheumatology, the Regional Cardiology Centre, the Regional Urology Centre, etc. The University has attracted highly qualified staff with experience of teaching in many regions of the world. Once at the University, many staff has continued to widen their experience by directing short courses or undertaking longer сourses overseas. Nowadays, the University's teaching staff number 763 highly qualified professors and instructors with 11 academicians, 96 professors, and 401 associate professors. Most of them have Ph. D.s or more advanced degrees. Sixty-six departments of the University run the academic programs. At present, about 5000 citizens of Russia and countries of the former Soviet Union and 900 international students from Asia, Africa, Latin, and South America, Germany, and Arab countries attend the University. Nowadays, the University ranks very high among the medical schools of the Russian Federation. Many university scientists are world-famous due to their significant contribution to the theory and practice of medicine. The University has been training international students since 1962. Students from 113 states of the former Soviet Union, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa have studied at our University. Over this period, 3000 physicians, dentists, pediatricians, and pharmacists have been trained in foreign countries.
