Welcome to our school. Our aspirations for every child who attends Victory Primary school are summed up in our school mission statement, vision, and motto. In our artwork, we used water paints to make our own homes and we used paper to make our own Origami house. Our class trip was to the Geffrye Museum where we looked at different objects from the past, e.g. video cassettes, Walkmans, and ways to light your home – past and present day. In Year 2, children have been learning all about adventure stories and wrote a letter to one of the characters about their visit to the floating Iceberg. In Year 3 we have been learning about Britain in the time from Stone Age to Iron Age and also about Growing Around the Globe – including a special visit from one of our mums who is from Russia. Year 5 learned about the ancient Kingdom of Benin. They examined their bronze plaques and statues as if they were archaeologists uncovering facts about history. We designed statues using body proportion, inspired by the statues of Benin’s Obas (Rulers). We had to manipulate the foil to position our figures. View full school
