  1. The School of Engineers of the City of Paris (EIVP), formerly School of engineers of the Prefecture of the Seine, created by decree of the prefect of the Seine on 13 October 1959, a local public institution autonomous administrative authority under statute, having legal personality and financial autonomy, since 1 January 2006, under Article L2221-10 of the general code of local authorities, under the supervision of the City of Paris. When the majority of the world population is urban, sustainable development of cities is more relevant than ever. New urban models are invented more respectful of people and the planet. To initiate and carry this change, the world needs engineers bold, creative, and responsible. The EIVP mobilizes your ability to analyze, question, invent but also dream the city of tomorrow. Our teaching program prepares you to make the right decisions in a complex environment. These objectives respond to the expectations and needs of public and private companies, as evidenced by our various partnerships and our graduates' hiring rate. For over 50 years, EIVP makes sustainable urban development the theme of his teaching and his research. Reinventing the city, help train those who will move our mission. See you happy and fulfilled in our School is our most excellent satisfaction. One excellent engineering school, accredited by the engineering Securities Commission to deliver the engineering degree - urban engineering specialty EIVP affirms its benchmark positioning in school planning and sustainable management of cities with urban development sustainable is the conductive thread of his teachings. Through its association with the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and retort Université Paris-Est, from its fiftieth anniversary, the School strengthens its strategic partnerships in a world of higher education and research evolving and increasingly competitive. Internationally, the School has diversified its 35 international agreements in Europe and other countries and consolidate its 21 dual degrees to develop intercultural dynamics. For nearly 60 years, engineers EIVP shape and reinvent cities globally and display their skills in all areas of urban engineering: planning, public spaces, construction, infrastructure, mobility, environment, urban planning, architecture, transition energy, urban climate.
  2. Urban School is the premier independent high school in San Francisco with a national reputation as an educational leader, having designed, pioneered, and implemented educational innovations for more than half a century. With innovations such as UrbanX Labs, our unique integrated approach to technology, design, engineering, nationally recognized community service program, and our pioneering technology integration program, our students experience a meaningful, in-depth, and well-rounded approach to learning. Urban's extraordinary teachers ensure that each student has a strong sense of themselves as learners and that they graduate uniquely equipped to solve the challenges their generation will face. Urban School of San Francisco seeks to ignite a passion for learning, inspiring its students to become self-motivated, enthusiastic participants in their education – both in high school and beyond. Learning is an active, joyful process of discovery where students are challenged to ask essential questions, solve problems in disciplined and creative ways, and construct substantive understandings under passionate and inspiring teachers' guidance. Academic excellence is demonstrated by depth of conceptual understanding and achieved through rigorous engagement, comprehensive assessment, and thoughtful self-evaluation. We honor each individual's uniqueness and embrace diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a robust and inclusive community and prepare students for lives in a multicultural society. Students best grow in personal responsibility and self-worth in a school characterized by trust, honesty, and mutual respect among students and teachers. We are committed to reflection, evaluation, evolution, and innovation as a means to improve teaching and learning. Learning extends beyond the classroom to instill in students a sense of mission and purpose as citizens of the broader community and world. As we prepare students for college, we celebrate adolescence's vitality and the abundant possibilities for intellectual growth and personal achievement during these four years. Since our founding in 1966, diversity, inclusion, equity, and access have been critical elements of Urban School's mission and core values. We seek to create a community that reflects our city, state, and future world. We believe the best education occurs in a school made up of students, faculty/staff, and families drawn from different socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, races, religions, and sexual orientations. The school has a larger public purpose of educating students who have been historically under-represented in independent schools. While the work of diversity and equity in our community has always been a part of the mission of Urban, we aim to build on this commitment, and by so doing, create a genuinely inclusive school – one where students and adults are welcomed and supported, and where their faces, voices, and experiences are reflected and valued. We believe that the work of inclusion is a responsibility held by all and done for all, person to person. The Urban School curriculum provides a solid foundation in college preparatory subjects. Many of our classes have distinctive features that set them apart as particularly challenging and comparable to college-level work. These classes, designated as UAS (Urban Advanced Studies), are developed by the Urban faculty and comprise the school's most rigorous coursework. UAS classes are offered in every subject area, and most are recognized by colleges (including the University of California) as honors-level courses. Many Urban students choose to take Advanced Placement subject exams after taking these courses. Urban's academic program seeks to involve students in their broader community — the school, the city, the world — and develop a sense of social responsibility. Beyond a core curriculum that builds a firm framework of general knowledge and conceptual understanding in each of the disciplines, the Urban program allows students to develop in-depth knowledge and fluency with skills and ways of thinking across disciplines. Rather than just learning a particular set of facts, students learn how to be independent, critical thinkers. At each stage of their learning, the Urban curriculum anchors students in habits of mind that support achievement in high school and beyond and create a context for lifelong intellectual enrichment. 3. IHS's approach is based on the cross-fertilization of our main three activities: education, advisory services, and applied research. By being involved in different core activities simultaneously, IHS urban specialists can create strong links between theory and practice. IHS staff members spend a substantial amount of time working in the field, and they possess relevant expertise within the context of different countries they have worked in. This way, they provide support, training, and relevant services for course participants and clients. Inputs drawn from the advisory and research activities are also reflected in the classroom, where course participants benefit from the lecturers' rich knowledge and professional background. The Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) is an education, advisory, and research institute of Erasmus University Rotterdam. For 60 years, it has been our mission to develop human and institutional capacities, reduce poverty, and improve cities' quality of life. Looking at cities from different perspectives, we educate urban professionals with diverse backgrounds, consult national and local governments from the Global South, and engage in cutting-edge urban research. Bringing practical experience from real-life projects back to the classroom, we inspire collaboration and co-creation of urban knowledge. Together with our partners, we work at the forefront of urban development to improve people living in cities. IHS is about making cities work. IHS' approach to the problems faced in reducing poverty and improving the quality of life in cities is based on the cross-fertilization of three activities: education, advisory services, and applied research. IHS strongly believes in linking theory and practice: staff members spend a substantial amount of time working in the field, possessing relevant expertise within the context of different countries they have worked in, and thus providing support, training, and services that are relevant for course participants and clients. Our alumni network includes over 9000 active urban experts worldwide, ranging from architects, social scientists, economists to public administration workers, civil servants, and government officials.
