  1. The veranda of Mecca Development Foundation (YPSM) was established on March 21, 1984, by one of the founders of the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian National Hero), namely DR. Mr. Teuku Moehammad Haji Hasan (Alm) set out in the deed of Notary number 76 in 1984. Under the license Kopertis Region I North Sumatra and Aceh, under YPSM, he founded the College of the Veranda of Mecca (PTSM) with operating license No. 180 / SK.PPS / KOP / 1985 dated July 18, 1985, which in turn is based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0430 / O / 1987 dated July 23, 1987, PTSM obtain registered status. Veranda of Mecca Development Foundation (YPSM) as the Veranda of Mecca Organizing Body University (USM) when the first one was established in 1985, led by DR. MR. Teuku Mohammad Haji Hasan until 1999, after his death, led by his daughter YPSM namely Pocut Hajjah Keumalawati, 2004, 2004 s / d 2010 YPSM leadership led by Father HT Sulaiman Shah (Son-in-law of the late DR. MR. HT Mohammad Hasan). Under his leadership, YPSM and the University of the Veranda of Mecca continue to experience significant growth both from quality and quantity. Early development is quite encouraging since 2002. That is when all the elements involved in developing and responding to the real needs of the people of Aceh, by changing PTSM became the University of the Veranda of Mecca (USM) based on Decree of the Minister No. 256 / D / 0/2002 dated October 30, 2002, in line with that, had been developed up to 23 courses under the auspices of the six faculties, namely: the Faculty of Education (Guidance and Counseling), Faculty of Economics (FE), Faculty of Engineering (FT) Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP), the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) and the Faculty of MT (FATAR) under the guidance of the Ministry of RI Ditpertais.   2. Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) is the oldest public university in Aceh. Standing on September 2, 1961, by Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Science Number 11 of 1961, dated July 21, 1961. The establishment of Unsyiah was confirmed by Decree of the President of Republic Indonesia, number 161 of 1962, dated April 24, 1962, in Kopelma Darussalam, Banda Aceh. Unsyiah is domiciled in the capital of Aceh province, with the main campus located in the city of Students (Kopelman) Darussalam, Banda Aceh. Currently, Unsyiah has more than 30,000 students studying in 12 faculties and the Graduate Program. Beginning with establishing the Aceh Welfare Fund Foundation (YDKA) on April 21, 1958, which was formed to conduct the development of spiritual and physical sectors to create welfare and happiness for the society. YDKA develop programs include: (a) Establish the student city in the capital of the province and every district in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Area, (b) Promote the establishment of one University for Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.   4. The University of Siliwangi was established on May 20, 1978, together with the first stone laying of Siliwangi University Campus by Commander VI Siliwangi, then Major General Himawan Soetanto.   5. On July 17, 1984, Warmadewa University was officially founded and. The stewardship of the foundation was set in the Korpri Bali Meeting on July 30, 1984. The Governor of Bali gave the name of Warmadewa University.   6. Not long after the Republic of Indonesia (1945), some national figures who were also Indonesian Christian leaders were moved and felt the need to establish a Church Council in Indonesia (DGI). The hope was only implemented on May 25, 1950.
