  1. Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), officially established on 16 February 1984, is the sixth Malaysian public University. The only University set up to specialize solely in management education from the beginning of its establishment. The University sees the need to be global in practice and content since the knowledge it generates and purveys transcends and extends far beyond Malaysia's borders. In this restructuring exercise, 13 faculties were merged and streamed into three prominent Academic Colleges, namely UUM COB (UUM College of Business), UUM CAS (UUM College of Arts and Sciences), and UUM COLGIS (UUM College of Law, Government and International Studies). The University provides several facilities for sports and recreational activities for all students and staff to develop a physically and mentally healthy community.
