  1. Baby Buddies International Playgroup and Nursery Alison’s Letterland International Kindergarten have expanded now providing educational services in three locations on Hong Kong Island. The schools retain a family community feels with a close network of devoted and qualified international teachers truly inspiring your child with a love of learning. Our mission is to imbue every one of our students with a lifetime love of learning and to encourage them to become confident, responsible, and effective contributors to society. We believe that every child is a competent learner from birth, and every child should be treated with respect and as an individual. Our teachers are all well-qualified early year’s professionals with internationally recognized Bachelors in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Our Chinese language teachers are fluent Putonghua speakers qualified and experienced in early childhood education. At this age, strong relationships are embedded with the familiar teacher and will be the role model that a child learns to trust and looks to for security and care. Our Kindergarten is a bright and spacious facility overlooking the beautiful greenery of Victoria Park. The classroom is open-planned and offers different areas of age-appropriate learning, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. The Kindergarten is equipped with the latest up-to-date educational equipment from the U.K. Along with the newest models of interactive whiteboards to support the children’s learning. We have been providing children and their families across Hong Kong the very best possible start in preschool education since 1996. We deliver a child-centered approach to learning allowing your child to lead the way. The heart of this approach is the powerful image of your child. Along with the Early Years Foundation Stage, we deliver a rich daily English, Mandarin, and French program in all of our classes.
  2. City Kids was established in 1984. Our educational philosophy is based on the UK Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and incorporates 7 key areas of learning. Through play, children feel confident to behave in many different ways, experiment with their physical, emotional, and cognitive selves, and develop their imagination and creativity. This curriculum guides adults to understand and support each child's development pathway. With progression to the older preschool class, the curriculum becomes more structured, preparing children for entry into primary school. The children’s play becomes more rule-oriented and develops autonomy and cooperation. From playgroup through to preschool, our children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, to make their own choices and discoveries, and to develop a lifelong love for learning. We value the precious time of childhood and believe that children who have the opportunity to develop strong self-concepts and social and emotional skills are most successful both in school and later in life. Teachers, children, and parents all play important roles in the educational process. Our children leave us as confident achievers, well prepared to tackle the next steps in their education. Our playgroup is staffed by Playgroup Supervisors. The supervisors are nurturing, caring, experienced and community-focused. They are well trained to prepare the sessions and help the children have their first experiences in a very positive way. In the preschool, we have qualified, registered, and early years teachers in every classroom. City Kids is committed to recruiting and retaining experienced teachers. Supporting our teachers in the classrooms are educational assistants. Our teachers and assistants are supported with in-house training and professional development. We have a maximum adult-to-child ratio of 1:8 in each classroom. The staff comes from different nationalities which makes it an interesting place to work. Our preschool caters to children who are beginning their first independent schooling experience. Initially, the main goals of the program are independence, confidence, and the development of a positive attitude towards preschool. Gradually the children are introduced to a more structured timetable and a combination of play-based and teacher-led activities that will help them develop the skills necessary to successfully transition into the next phase of their education. As this is an unaccompanied program child must be of the requisite age and be fully toilet trained before commencing preschool. Preschool children move through developmental ages at differing speeds. The preschool is organized into three different age/developmental groups and children move through the program accordingly. City Kids follows the EYFS curriculum (Early Years Foundation Stage). In addition, through whole school assemblies, the children are introduced to different virtues (cooperation, resilience, compassion, respect, enquire, communication). We believe that introducing virtues across the school community, including parents, staff, and children creates a positive attitude early on in life. Ll members of staff contribute through open, positive, and supportive relationships where young children feel that they are listened to, promoting a climate in which young children feel safe and secure, using the language of encouragement to raise self-esteem and modeling behavior that promotes effective learning and wellbeing within the school community. The preschool is contained in a historic building listed by the Hong Kong government, with spacious and bright classrooms and is well resourced with quality toys, activities, and equipment. One of the greatest features of our space is our covered back balcony where children have water, sand, and water play, sensory equipment, easels, balls, role playhouse, and climbing equipment.
  3. Established in 1975, The English Playgroup EPG is a family-owned Kuwaiti Educational Company, providing quality education to 8,000 children aged from 9 months to 11 years in Kuwait. EPG today is positioned as the market leader in the Early Years sector with 29 locations, alongside 2 Primary School Campuses in Salwa and Salmiya. At EPG we aspire to provide all our students with a stimulating, creative and welcoming environment in which all children have an opportunity to learn, thrive, and become a future global citizens. The Curriculum in our schools is the British National Curriculum Early Years Foundation Stage in Early Years and the National Curriculum for England in Primary Schools. Both EPG Primary Schools are proud members of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) since 2016. Our Leadership and Teaching teams are highly qualified and experienced professionals that have an in-depth knowledge of child development, and through continuing education, keep up to date with current research and teaching practices. Over the years, EPG has ensured that our Schools have the best resources available for their students. In addition, EPG has developed its books and curriculum resources to further support students on their learning pathway. At EPG, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a play-based adapted curriculum for children from 9 months to 5.5 years. This allows children to explore and learn in an environment that is secure and safe, yet challenging. We understand that this period in a child's life is an important developmental stage when they discover themselves and the world around them. Leadership and teaching teams in branches are dedicated and passionate professionals who embody all the values we teach children. Our Primary Schools are creative, dynamic places of learning where children aged 5 to 11 can hone the skills that they will need to be equipped for a lifetime of learning. Our curriculum is delivered by a diverse group of qualified teachers and our school leaders have all been selected for the experience and qualifications that they bring to our schools. We are proud of our Kuwaiti heritage as well as our international character and aspire to mold the attitudes in our children that will shape the future of this unique nation. EPG has been an accredited member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) since 2016. Due to the expansion of our Primary School in Salwa to include year 5 classes next year, we have decided to establish separate boys and girls sections from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 next year. This means that boys and girls from years 1 to 5 will be taught in separate classes. We believe that this change will directly benefit the education of both boys and girls in school. At The English Playgroup, you will find a stimulating and successful program of learning, playing, and care, taught by the very best trained English specialist teachers. Within the schools, there is a strong belief in children receiving a challenging and inspirational education and in developing their talents and personalities in preparation for their future education. Our bilingual program teaches fluency in English and Arabic through a well-structured, thematic approach to learning. At our schools, we use the English National Curriculum to deliver the best of Early Years and Primary Education. Over the years, we have developed our books and curriculum resources that match our student’s abilities and help them progress solidly through the Foundation, KS 1, and KS 2 levels. Arabic is taught in line with the Kuwait Ministry of Education guidelines. Class sizes are kept small at our schools to ensure each child receives the attention and care they deserve and all our staff is experienced professional teachers with high standards of achievement.
