- Pioneers International School was founded in 2001 in Ras el Soda district. The school is located approximately forty-five minutes from the center of town and is situated on 1.8 acres of land and green grass. The school is housed in an attractive large multi-level complex and contains science and computer labs, play areas, a swimming pool, two libraries, as well as multimedia, music, and art rooms. Students are entitled to use all available resources within the school. This allows students to practice several outdoor activities and gives adequate space for all necessary indoor scholastic activities. American curriculum is offered from KG to grade 12. Upon completion of grade 12, students receive a high school Diploma if they accomplish the required number of credits. Our vision is to develop future generations of young men and women who have the knowledge and skills to succeed with a thirst for learning and the courage and integrity to face future challenges. It is our mission to prepare students for success in future careers and assist with achieving their true potential while enabling a deep sense of community service responsibility. The school provides transportation to and from school for students by bus. A fee will be collected to cover the cost of transportation. The school shall be responsible for scheduling bus transportation, including the determination of routes and bus stops. The purpose of bus scheduling and routing is to achieve maximum service while managing time properly. Parents should be referred to the school administration for any request for change in routes, stops, or schedules. The bus supervisor is responsible for the safe and orderly loading and unloading of students. She is also accountable for the conduct of students inside the bus. When a teacher, coach, or other certified staff member is assigned to accompany students on a bus trip or excursion, such person shall be primarily responsible for the behavior of the students in his/her charge. The school cannot function in its roles if discipline cannot be maintained. Chastisement is necessary to maintain order and a workable environment. The most effective discipline holds the student responsible for his or her behavior. The school has built-in disciplinary procedures, which can be withheld as a result of misbehavior. We believe that: All students can learn. Students are unique in their talents and capabilities. Students can be self-directed, independent, and life-long learners. Students should develop ethical and moral values. Students should accept responsibilities for the common good and develop a desire to serve their community. View full school
