The virtue of good character, self-discipline, sense of responsibility, respect, appreciation, and the desire to learn is cultivated in each child nurturing them into a wholesome person. From its humble beginning started by a group of parents in 1953 to the present groups of schools, Lodge had always strived to provide the best education for children. With dedicated staff and a caring Board of Management, we would like to realize our vision of a school of choice, capable of molding physically fit, emotionally stable, creative thinkers and problem solvers who have the skills to function effectively in our society and workplace. Lodge Schools not only need to realize these attributes but to produce students with 21st-century skills. We have to use whatever resources available to us to produce a student who is creative, innovative, possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They are also able to communicate effectively and collaborate respectfully and effectively with others. Our students should also possess information management skills and make effective use of technology, developing career and life skills who are self-directed, independent life-long learners and workers. They must also develop cultural and emotional intelligence capable of working with others from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds. The success of our students depends very much on the learning strategies and the moral intelligence they possess. With parental support and efficient delivery pathways used by all staff, we are confident that we can always work to improve and realize the vision of the school. Every child, irrespective of race, religion, and nationality, is a unique creation of God, having the potential to learn, to achieve, and to excel. All children deserve respect, care, and understanding as they are guided towards becoming persons of upright characters who respect and care for themselves and others. - We welcome you to our School. At Holly Lodge Girls’ College, we believe in an ethos of high ambition, challenge, and support. We challenge all members of our school community to be the best they can be and we effectively support them on this journey. Through our shared values and actions we aim to encourage our students to be focused, aspirational and resilient so that they can become confident and successful members of society. We are all proud to be members of this hard-working, warm and happy school. We aim to fulfill our mission statement of “Expect to Achieve” for all our students. At Holly Lodge Girls’ College our key values are the following: Aspiration Resilience Challenge and Support Focus The Department for Education outlines a five-part definition of British values: Democracy The rule of law Individual liberty Mutual respect Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs At Holly Lodge students will encounter these principles throughout everyday school life in the schools’ promotion of spiritual, moral, social, and cultural understanding both across the curriculum and as part of its ethos. At Holly Lodge, the importance of rules and the importance of distinguishing right from wrong is consistently reinforced through assemblies and the curriculum. Mutual respect is at the core of the inclusive ethos at Holly Lodge. The curriculum and ethos at Holly Lodge prepare pupils for life in a multi-racial and multi-cultural society where respect and tolerance are important. All pupils at KS3 follow a multi-faith RE course which employs a wide variety of teaching resources to enable pupils to develop their understanding of a range of faiths, encouraging them to treat people of all faiths races, and cultures with respect and tolerance. As a maintained school, all students in Years 7 and 8 will follow the National Curriculum. All students will make their option choices in Year 8 to begin their Key Stage 4 programs of study in Year 9, we believe that this will: allow students to focus on the fundamental foundations of learning in Years 7 and 8 to prepare them for future success. Support students in learning the depth and breadth of their chosen subjects by giving them longer in which to do so. Allow more option choices and personalization for students since the longer timescale allows more flexibility and time for study. Allow students to specialize in areas that interest them, motivating them to fulfill their potential and move onto the next stage of their learning. At Key Stage 4, all students will study GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Maths, GCSE Double Science, Core RE, and Core PE. Most students will be expected to study GCSE French. Speakers of other languages will be allowed to take a GCSE in their home language. In addition to these core subjects, students will make 3 option choices from a range of GCSE and Vocational subjects. Through the options process, all students are allowed to study for the English Baccalaureate – GCSE English, Maths, Double Science, Geography/History, and French. We are proud to nurture an environment that allows our students to strive for academic and vocational excellence. We focus on progression and preparing our students for their next steps whether that be university, further education, apprenticeships, or work. We offer a wide range of level 3 courses that combine to create individual study programs to maximize our student’s potential. The quality of teaching and learning in the Sixth Form at Holly Lodge has an excellent track record, has proved by examination results and OFSTED inspections. - Clifton Lodge is a small, welcoming school, which enables us to get to know all our pupils and families extremely well. There is a friendly, inclusive atmosphere with small class sizes, where children are supported by each other as well as their teachers. Our children feel safe and secure. Lessons are routinely differentiated so that every child has the opportunity to be academically challenged. As a preparatory school, we focus on entry into the best academic senior schools. These entrance assessments provide the skills required for public exams later in school life. Traditionally in West London, girls move on to senior schools at 11+ and boys at 13+ we prepare pupils for both. As well as the academic ISEB curriculum, there is a wide range of clubs and activities that children can be fully engaged in. Sport, music, and drama are a vital part of the curriculum and we celebrate our pupils’ successes in these areas. The school is divided into two sections, each with a dedicated team of experienced staff. The Lower School includes children from Nursery to Year 3. These children are taught by their class teacher, supported by subject specialist teachers in several curriculum areas. The teacher also receives support from teaching assistants. In our Upper School children are taught by subject specialists. This prepares them for the rigors of Common Entrance and senior school entrance exams. During their time at Clifton Lodge, children develop into highly motivated, well-rounded individuals with the skills and abilities to cope extremely well in their chosen senior school. Additional, Music, Drama, and Dance are offered to support the school’s curriculum and are vital elements in ensuring that pupils leaving Clifton Lodge can be said to be educated, in its fullest sense. Along with Art and Sport, these subjects are often important indicators used by senior schools when selecting pupils for entry. We have a thriving choir at Clifton Lodge. Pupils from Year 2 can audition to be part of the choir at the start of the academic year. Being part of the choir requires a commitment to learn the songs, attend rehearsals, and all the performances. There is choir rehearsals each Wednesday and Friday lunchtime in term-time. The choir covers a wide-ranging repertoire of songs and styles from classical, baroque, folk, pop, blues, etc… and enjoys singing in three-part harmonies as well as in unison and Accapella. They perform at many of the school events and festivals throughout the year such as Harvest and Remembrance assemblies, the Christmas carol concert, the Spring concert, and Speech day. Pupils have numerous opportunities to take part in events and productions throughout the year which showcases their talents in music and drama. Besides, we regularly invite ‘Perform’ into school to hold drama workshops with our Lower School pupils. Older pupils can take part in our annual drama production held at the Town Hall, there are opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes to get involved. View full school

- Northcote Lodge is, we believe, unique. Although our ethos is the same as that found in the best country prep schools, our location, in the heart of London, means that we are very different. For parents who are looking for this kind of traditional education for their boys, but who are understandably reluctant to send them off to boarding school at a young age, we believe that Northcote Lodge provides all the benefits of a country prep school whilst allowing boys to remain at home as part of their families. The main function of a prep school is to prepare children for their next school – something that Northcote Lodge does outstandingly well. An important part of my role is to get around the senior schools, and I am struck by how often housemasters tell me how pleased they are to have Northcote boys in their houses, and how well prepared they are. We are unashamedly traditional: manners and respect for others are at the core of everything we do. Academic rigor is important too, but we must not lose sight of the fact that the best public schools are looking for boys who have something to offer outside the classroom. That applies to employers as well nowadays, they are looking at much more than just examination grades. So, we’re equally proud of what the boys achieve outside the classroom as within it. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” – and we don’t want dull boys around here! Our boys play lots of sport (we are lucky to have access to the playing fields just across the road on Wandsworth Common) and we do rather well in matches, often against much bigger schools. Music, Art, and Drama are embedded in the curriculum, and for those boys who are so inclined, there are also plenty of extra-curricular opportunities in these areas. We are a small school, of around 230 boys, with no plans to be any bigger. That’s important. Because it means that all the staff knows every boy by name. Our Common Entrance results speak for themselves: every year our boys get into the best public schools across the country. Being at school should be fun! At Northcote Lodge, it is our firm belief that when a boy is happy he is much more likely to learn than when he is not. Our school day is an extended one – 8.00 am until 6.00 pm for the older boys – which means that, until the very final stages, all homework is done at school. So, when he gets home, a boy’s work is done and he can relax and be part of his family. At Northcote, Lodge teaching is very much immersive and inquiry-led. Critical thinking and the development of life skills are highly valued. Rigorous academic standards ensure consistent success in the public school entrance and scholarship examinations. Internal assessment is an ongoing process with all the boys from the moment they start with us, with progress and achievement being continually monitored. We hold formal exam weeks for all year groups twice each year, with Form 5 taking further exams to help the teachers gain a full understanding of how best to help them for their upcoming Common Entrance and to guide them on areas that need improving. Parents receive a detailed end-of-term report each term. In Michaelmas and Trinity terms these are subject reports, focusing primarily on attitude, application, and achievement. In Hilary term reports are written by the tutors (Shell-Form teacher) in the form of a letter that focuses on other important aspects of school life, including personal development, friendships, and progress generally. Each half term we also send home assessment grades to help inform parents of the boys' attainment and effort in each subject. These enable the staff and parents to monitor the boys' classwork. We also run curriculum evenings at the start of each year where we provide parents with information about what the children will be learning each term and how we intend to teach it. There are also parents' evenings for each year group for parents to meet their son's subject teachers as well as tutor evenings (twice a year) when parents meet their son's tutor and discuss pastoral issues. The boys are encouraged to set themselves a specific task, either physical or mental which should contain a strong element of self-improvement, as well as perhaps serving a purpose in the wider community. Past challenges have been as diverse as a structured recycling program to publishing the Northcote Lodge Cricket Guide for mums. A wide variety of after-school clubs is available, run by both the school's staff and outside instructors, and boys sign up for them at the start of each term.

With our local and national connections, girls work with organizations such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal Ballet School, Merton Music Foundation, Stonewall, The Lawn Tennis Association, and Rugby Football Union to learn from the very best. As an inclusive school, we are proud of the results of all our students and are very pleased to have received SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards for the last few years which confirms how strong our results are and why we are proud of them. Our thriving sixth form RR6 offers a full range of Level 3 courses (further information can be found here). We are proud of the sixth form results and the wide range of destinations our students go onto, be it to the universities of Oxford, Cambridge or Exeter, the world of work, or the world itself. Our school values help to create the ethos and culture in which they operate. These values help to instill in students the characteristics that will help them to become successful and valuable members of the school community and the wider society. We want each of our school values to be demonstrated daily by staff and students. We are fortunate to have a thriving Governing Body that takes an active role in the life of the school. The Governing Body meets termly and visits to the school take place throughout the year. Safeguarding the young people in our care is of the utmost importance, if you are worried about a child during term time please call the school office and ask to speak to a Designated Safeguarding Lead. We enrich and extend our curriculum by providing our students with a very wide range of clubs and activities, some of which make use of facilities in the local community, as well as further afield. The school is within easy access of the center of London with all its museums, galleries, and theatres, and visits to these enhance and develop the school-based study. Learning is further supported by trips to France and Germany.
- We are a thriving and very successful school. Ray Lodge is going to be as a school community we are striving to be the very best we can be. Every day is another opportunity we are realizing. We are a school in which everyone is striving for excellence. We are a school that shines with possibilities. Our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and our learning they provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. We believe that children can develop responsibility, with respect for themselves and each other, thus creating a community that has values and attitudes that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives. We strive to ensure that our children will learn a great deal whilst they are with us, that they will have aspiration and self-belief. We want them to be happy and to enjoy learning just as we do. Our aims are: To set and promote the highest standards of teaching, learning, progress, and achievement. To promote equality and appreciation of diversity. To promote and achieve the highest standards of learning behavior. To develop independence and creativity. To provide a healthy, safe and happy environment. To develop positive links with families and the local wider community. The Department for Education has published guidance on promoting British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. All schools must ‘actively promote’ the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Our children are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment. As a school, we provide boundaries for our pupils to make choices safely, through the provision of a safe environment and empowering learning. Our children are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and are advised how to exercise these safe examples of this can be seen in our e-safety and P.S.H.E. lessons. Whether it is through the choice of challenge of how they record of participation in our numerous extracurricular activities - our pupils are given the freedom to make choices. Choice brings future happiness.
Clubs vary from term to term and have included such diverse activities as golf, woodwork, cookery, chess, debating, drama, computing, basketball, pottery, and model-making.
- Lodge Group of Schools provides a very friendly and conducive environment for learning. Each student is well cared for under the guidance of well-disciplined, experienced, and dedicated teachers. The school will strive to provide the ideal environment and opportunities necessary for the total development of its pupils. Lodge School endeavors to provide a premium learning environment to educate students to achieve high standards of academic excellence, integrity, and leadership qualities.
