  1. Welcome to where we "measure success, one happy learner, at a time”. Welcome to another member of the Learner’s World International Schools (LWIS) Network. Welcome to Khaled International Schools-KiS, Riyadh. Khaled International Schools, KiS – Riyadh are a community of learners, where education is child-focused and learner-centered. We do believe that every child/learner can learn and will learn differently to the best of his/her ability once properly guided, respected, and challenged. Founded in 1995 in Riyadh KSA, Khaled International Schools (American Curriculum Schools), cater to Saudi and non-Saudi children from Kindergarten through Grade 12. The schools’ renovated facilities house an independent Girls’ School Kindergarten to Grade 12 where the Preschool classes in the Girls’ School are co-educational while Grades 1, 2, and 3 boys are housed in independent classes in the Girls’ School. The facilities also accommodate an independent Boys’ School Grades 4 to 12. Both schools are under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and are members of the Learner’s World International Schools (LWIS) Network that is managed by School Development Consultants (SDC) – Lebanon. Khaled International Schools are fully accredited by AdvancED and envision becoming leading learner-centered hubs for digital and advanced education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We would like to welcome all parents and learners to a new school year. We hope that as the year progresses both parents and learners will get a deeper knowledge of the staff, the programs, and the policies we offer at Khaled International Schools. It is the goal of the staff at Khaled International Schools to work closely with the kis community to create a rich learning environment for all our learners. A learner’s success is a shared responsibility among the school staff, learners and parents. The academic year 2016- 2017 is a year of change this year we have planned to accentuate the Parents’ Committee body, for we believe parents’ involvement makes a real difference to children’s learning. It is our goal that KiS parents will work together with the school to face challenges and celebrate the diversity of our school’s community. Education is a joint venture between school and home. Thus, as we work with our learners to help them acquire knowledge and skills through the prescribed curriculum, we appreciate the support that parents will give to their children at home. At KiS we strongly recognize the importance of technology and work on integrating technology in all subject areas. At KiS we believe in partnership with the parents and parent involvement. We have an open-door policy that welcomes parents whose input is vital to our decision-making process. At KiS, as we all are learners, we recognize the wealth of talents around us and work solidly on empowering young and adult learners. We mobilize talents to enhance our faculty and staff. The KiS teacher/facilitator is key at our school. Our teachers know and are experienced in handling situations, have mastery of content and methods of effective instruction, and are life-long learners themselves. Because we all are learners at KiS, we promote induction programs, ongoing professional development, seminars, conferences, workshops, and any other high-quality staff development at school or in the community at large. The KiS teacher is involved in instructional leadership, curriculum development, strategic planning, program evaluation, team building, and personal growth. The KiS teacher understands the important role he/she plays in the lives of learners both as a teacher and as an adult figure in the learners’ formative years. At KiS we realize that building a community requires the amalgamation of all young and adult learners, academic and non-academic staff, administration, and parents. We are sincerely looking forward to the unique blend of the KiS family, a family that inspires rather than coerces. It is these beliefs that led the school to endorse the introduction of electronic beams and LCD projectors into most of our classrooms. It is these beliefs also that led us to endorse teacher training programs before the beginning of this academic year and every six weeks during the year. It is precisely this kind of training that will help us realize our objectives for this year and years to come. Our Early Childhood Program (ages 3-7), Preschool & Lower Elementary, is designed to offer our children a developmentally appropriate and stimulating experience in a safe and nurturing environment. It utilizes an integrated approach to learning that promotes intellectual, language, physical, social/emotional, and aesthetic development in all our young children. Through this program, we are committed to: Build on each child’s experience and knowledge to make learning meaningful and to develop a life-long enthusiasm for learning. Provide a stimulating educational environment with opportunities to learn in a variety of formal and informal contexts. Provide a safe and caring environment that encourages independence and curiosity thereby supporting the development of self-confidence. Integrate subjects in a meaningful way, giving opportunities to practice skills and concepts in real-life situations. Our Middle & Senior School programs are designed to allow our learners to develop into confident young adults, well prepared for college/university entrance and success. There are six broad objectives that we believe in for the Middle and Senior Section programs: Critical and Creative Thinking Communication Technology Integration Personal and Social Value Global Awareness and Understanding Independent Learning The Senior School is designed to provide ample opportunity for learners to develop the talents and interests of which they are aware and to discover and develop previously unrecognized ones. Our graduation requirements are designed to ensure that each KiS graduate is well prepared, both for college and for a lifetime of service and learning. They reflect our belief that learners become creative, reflective, open, disciplined, productive, compassionate, and passionate adults by engaging in a broad range of learning opportunities, both in and out of the classroom.
  2. The vision and mission of the TNG are aligned by the strategy of Qatar’s Supreme Education Council (SEC) and the Ministry of Education. The Next Generation Kindergarten and Primary School has been formed in 2009 with a Noble cause to bridge the gap of requisite Quality Education in Qatar. The foundation of TNG has been carefully set up by the highly skilled and experienced educationalists and technocrats of diverse disciplines and regions to converge on a common cause. The Educational infrastructure of TNG is set up to fulfill the literacy demand of emerging Qatar, which includes Academics, Islamic Education, the Quran, Soft skills, and Technology. The Islamic curriculum has been carefully chosen from the popular school system of South Africa. The most modern facilities, such as Interactive boards, automated time attendance, ergonometric furniture, Students & Parents web portal, e-Learning portal, PC access for everyone make TNG a unique educational institution in Qatar. As the technological and social demands of any modern society are changing rapidly, it becomes important for the directors to make sure that TNG’s very purpose of existence has an equal impact on these changes. Since schooling is a transformational process, it is our endeavor at TNG to ensure that this process occurs smoothly and with the highest level of efficiency. Our primary objective is to operationalize a critical thinking-based educational program that nurtures and channels the physical and mental energies of our students in the most productive manner. To achieve this objective, TNG has employed the most modern teaching strategies, a team of dedicated and highly trained teachers and educators, and a vision that complements its resources. It is a source of great delight for me that by choosing TNG you have decided to avail yourself of the opportunity of placing your child in one of the best public charter schools in the commonwealth of Qatar. The unique TNG educational model is based on forging a long-term partnership among parents, teachers, families, and support coordinators who are bonded together by a dedicated curriculum. A bonding arrangement that has culminated in what we call the TNG Diamond Model Partnership (DMP). In our estimation, it is the parents that serve as the anchor in the TNG-DMP who are willing to make tremendous sacrifices to be involved in their child`s educational progress daily. At TNG parents are never alone because at every step of the way they will find guidance and cooperation from the school`s experienced administrators, highly trained teachers, and caring family support coordinators. Providing quality education to all its students, irrespective of their class, color, creed, religion or gender is one of the core mission objectives of the school. TNG offers a carefully designed and rationalized scholarship program for 10% of the student body. The criteria for qualifying for the scholarship can be obtained from the school administration during business hours. Shortlisted students contending for the scholarship must provide appropriate attested documents. Since the scholarship is competitive, the amount of scholarship or the percentage of the tuition fee to be waived will be determined by the test results of the competing candidate. The program is intended to encourage, by subsidizing the tuition fee, of students who otherwise might not be able to pursue their schooling at TNG. At TNG we ensure that the children have a wide range of learning experiences that challenge, stimulate and promote thinking process, decision making, problem-solving, academics, and skills learning as well. The curriculum at TNG has been drafted with great care and considerations of the current and future educational and learning requirements of growing kids. British Curriculum International General Certificate of Secondary Education ( IGCSE ) and Islamic Curriculum would be taught at all levels. Moreover, a set of soft skills, technical training, and learning is part of the curriculum. Student’s soft skill is an important part of his or her contribution to the success of life, role towards community development and service to the nation. Academics & Technical skills have a better value in combination with soft skills technical skills with soft skills furnish assurance of success. The combination of both skills leads to recognition, promotion, and most importantly: opportunity. The ability to develop and exercise 'soft skills' can formulate the difference between academics and the enjoyment of practical learning. At TNG we believe that Soft Skills to be developed and exercised at every level of age to make a strong personality foundation.
