  2. The English School Fahaheel has served the ex-pat community here for almost half a century now. We aim to provide the very best in British education for all our pupils in a supportive and caring environment. Well qualified and motivated staff encourage the children to develop their academic, social and personal skills closely following the National Curriculum for England and Wales. Working in close harmony with parents and the community, we enable students to reach their full potential and develop skills to become independent, self-sufficient adults who will succeed and contribute to a global society. At the English School, Fahaheel, Kuwait, we provide each student with a broad and balanced education in a safe and supportive environment that promotes an enjoyment of learning, strong motivation and excellence respect for others, and the advancement of international-mindedness At The English School Fahaheel, we fully expect excellent conduct and behavior from all our students. This expectation comes from everyone associated with the school. In this way, your son or daughter will work, learn and develop at ESF with confidence. The courtesy shown by staff and students is well-known throughout Kuwait, and this is the high standard that we fully expect throughout each Department. Both our staff and the Ministry of Education are quite clear regarding the effort and behavior expected from each student. In school, children are encouraged to strive for and achieve, their best in work, attitude, and personal behavior. Members of staff are experienced in encouraging positive aspects of a student's efforts, ranging from written approval in workbooks to reward by certificates and other means. The English School Fahaheel was founded in 1968 by a group of expatriate parents under the guidance of the incumbent British Consult. In that same year, the school was recognized by the Private Education Department of the Ministry of Education in Kuwait and opened its doors to a handful of expatriate students. At that time there was no other school in South Kuwait providing an English education other than a company school established in Ahmadi by Kuwait Oil Company for the children of its employees. This company school was closed in 1970. Due to the steady increase in the expatriate English-speaking population in Kuwait, it became evident by late 1976 that further expansion would be necessary for the not-too-distant future. In 1978 an upper story to the main building was constructed, substantially increasing the number of student places available. Progress and expansion continued unabated until the invasion of Kuwait in 1990. The occupying Iraqi army used the school premises as a command center and destroyed or looted furniture, educational materials, and anything of value. Following the liberation of Kuwait in 1991, the owner of the school, Mr. Ibrahim Shuhaiber M.Sc., was determined to see it thrive once again. A major clean-up operation began as the British Army forces in Kuwait assisted in clearing mines and ammunition from the surrounding area and beach. The English School Fahaheel soon regained its position as one of Kuwait's leading English schools, achieving excellence in education. The Early Years Department occupies spacious and stimulating teaching areas which are linked to large and well-resourced indoor and outdoor play areas. These areas are equipped with large and safe play equipment. Throughout Middle School, the ethos is to create a stimulating educational environment, lively and colorful, in which children feel secure and happy, are motivated to do their best work, and enthusiastic about the range of subjects taught in a challenging manner. The curriculum in the Upper School Department of The English School Fahaheel is designed to provide a balanced, broad, and rich education as preparation for university courses within the Middle East and further a field. A strong team of proven specialist teachers contributes much to the academic and all-around education of Upper School students. View full school

  4. In this fast-changing world of today where barriers have all been marauded to unite the vast sea of humanity into a global village, the citizens of one world with the masterstroke of Technology, Education is the only edifice that leaves its imprint in the lives of humanity. The educational institutions stand as ʻCitadels of learningʼ and harbingers of ʻQuality Consciousnessʼ committed to developing the minds and initiative of children. FAIPS Kuwait a reputed Indian Public School in Ahmadi amongst the burgeoning public school system has played a vital role in the enhancement of learning thereby laying claims to the creation of the epitome of quality education. The vision and foresight of the Al Nouri Teaching Establishment with the DPS Society the total involvement and professional interest in the cause of education of the unmatched faculty and finally the aspirations of the young minds to soar high have all contributed to the pursuance of learning redolent with innovation and unrivaled progressive outlook. The school is open to the children of all nationalities and is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Kuwait, and affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education for the All India Secondary School / Examination (AISSE / Class X) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE/Class XII). We aim to preserve and enhance the highest standards of excellence and prepare generations to combat the challenges of the 21st century. The young fledglings of FAIPS are helped to master the expanding horizon of technology have also become the repository of a deep commitment to tradition and culture in its pristine form. The vitality of the classrooms, the energy of the playing fields, and the open friendliness of the work environment have enabled the students to reach their fullest potential, whether in securing distinctions in the CBSE Board, SAT, and Olympiad Examinations or winning accolades in Dramatics, Debates, Quizzes or Sporting Activities- The special character of FAIPS lies in shaping the destinies of each individual entering its fold. A good school takes care of its pupils in a manner that enables them to get a sound foundation for dealing with life. In addition, a good school needs to transmit knowledge of various subjects that are considered necessary in a way that the pupils can grasp the ideas and also appreciate them. In our opinion a good school needs to focus not only on academic instruction but also on physical development, mental/intellectual growth, sensitivity to cultural issues, and other such aspects which are essential not only to make a child get academic knowledge but also to sensitize him to the essential aspects of life. A school needs to transmit moral and ethical values to the children. The child should get a broadening of the vision to enable him to deal with the world as a global village. Efforts need to be made to enhance the confidence level of every child. The school must ensure that a sound foundation is laid for a child to become a good citizen of his country. A child must also have feelings of caring, sharing, compassion, mercy, and other such qualities which would enable him to become humane. A basic requirement is that a child must learn to respect his parents, teachers, senior members of society, etc. A good school should ensure that the child loves going to the school and does not treat it as a place where he has to go by compulsion. Educating a young mind is one of the most gratifying achievements of one's experience, yet challenging in its own right. It is a partnership of the parents and teacher with the growth of the child as its sole aim.
